Amazing sandwiches! I shared a 6 inch #5 and #14 with my wife. Don't let size (6") fool you. It's not your Subway 6 inch sandwich. The amount of meat and vegetables are double that of Subway. And much more flavor. The staff are very friendly and helpful if you're having a hard time picking a sandwich. I will definitely be going back when in Reno. Now, go on a get a sandwich.

The sandwiches are great, but that's not the only reason to check out Yellow Submarine in Sparks. One of the best things about this place is just how weird it is. The walls and all other surfaces are covered in a collage of bizarre artwork, photographs, newspaper clippings, etc that make the atmosphere interesting and unique! The ladies that run this joint will never let you down with their sandwiches or their sense of humor!

I was so hyped up to try this place after hearing so many good things about it. We ordered a yellow sub, the pastrami had a thick fat/cartilage going through the whole thing. I took it up there and they basically shrugged their shoulders. I ordered a pickle, it had a chemical taste... Really bad. Very disappointing.

I've eaten here about 4 or 5 times in the past year or so to know that this is unquestionably one of the best places to get a sub sandwich, don't waste your money at big franchises like Subway or Port of Subs if you're looking for fresh meats, cheeses, and vegetables on a handmade sandwich. Upon entering the restaurant I found myself gazing from wall to wall at all the humorous sayings and signs they have hanging on there. The employees are also very nice and welcoming.

Best subs in town. I just love all the negative reviews. Obviously from liberal snowflakes. Sorry, no safe spaces at Yellow Sub!!

I eat there all the time but this time is the worst sandwich I have ever eating I ordered number Sixteen sandwich it was not made The right way I don t know I go back there no more I have been going there from the 1980 until now I m sad

Im only giving it a one star cause I cant give a half a star. I dont usually go to yellowsub but i was on that side of town. I came in with my son and my boyfriend. The girl at the couter wasnt very nice then she told me to keep my son down. Keep in mind we had just finished ordering and there was ABSOLUTELY NOBODY in the restaurant. I called the girl out her name and took my child out. She didnt like my comment but also wouldnt give us our money back. She threatened to not serve me again but thats okay because were a deli town family anyways.
Our food was very poorly put together so we're DEFINELY sticking to our delitown.

Yellow Sub is the only sandwich shop that I go to, they make the best sandwiches ever! I have been going there for about 30 years and the freshness and quality are always spot on!

Love this place. You'll pay a little more. When you get what you ordered you'll understand.

I take back what I said about this place being nice. Yes good sandwiches, But one women with black hair and a mean stare makes me never want to come back again. Every time I come in, Im greeted with a harsh voice and annoyed tone. Today she was nice to everyone but me. Calling people hun and giving them the full service. When it came to me, I got a "what do you want" and getting my sandwich tossed onto a counter without being placed into a bag like everyone else. I dont know what her deal is with me, but her place of business is no place to act like that especially when she doesnt even know me personally. She alone has made my experiences poor. And her alone is the reason I wont be returning for some time.

This place has been here forever! Probably 40 years (or more?) of *GREAT* sammiches with the #9 as my favorite! There's a reason why they're still here because you don't survive off the popular roads unless you have the excellent foodstuffs that draws us in. Go already! PS. Their staff is awesome too!

Simply the best sandwiches in the Reno/Sparks area, try the yellow sub or the meatloaf sandwich.

Went and had the namesake sandwich as well as the turkey breast. I can say neither was the best sandwich I've had at an establishment but the yellow sub far exceeded my expectations. The white bread was light and fluffy, however at it's core retained a bit more chew than I find necessary of a good bread. It was however, flavorful and quite nice as a vehicle for the absolute monstrous amounts of sandwich filling. Even with said filling being mostly lettuce. The structure of the sandwich felt like a fairly good mix of ingredients overall. Personally the amount of lettuce was troublesome but aside, the composition was solid. The spread as well as the meats and cheeses were bonafide fresh. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients. The yellow sub blew the turkey breast out of water. The combination of sprouts and lettuce with the cold cuts was a delicious combination with, what most would consider, the right amount of moisture to balance out the sandwich. I particularly found it a little dry. But I think I prefer my sandwiches wetter than most. All in all, I would have to recommend that you give it a try. You get a meal worth well over what you paid for with leftovers to spare. (If you can manage to not eat the whole sandwich immediately.) I plan to come back with the family, at least until I'm 64.

Yellow Submarine sandwich shop is one of the best ones in town! They're always friendly and atmosphere is fun. Above all, the sandwiches are PHENOMENAL. You're missing out if you dont visit Yellow Sub.

We are there for the first time yesterday after a recommendation. This was the only thing my husband and I ate yesterday and we both woke up sick in the middle of the night and are continuing today. The only thing we had in common on our sandwiches was mayo and lettuce. I was very excited with all of the great things I have heard.....but I will never eat here again. It totally ruined our Easter.

This is the best place in town for sandwiches a little pricey but worth every penny!

Cool eclectic, local hoagie/sub shop. Price was average, but the namesake yellow sub sandwich was tasty and all the ingredients were fresh (including the sprouts). Also, they serve beer! The staff was super nice as well. Recommend.

If you haven't had one of these sandwiches you need to go in and try one yellow submarine sandwiches is really good

I moved to Southern California 14 years ago. I haven't had a sandwich that compares to these. I am coming back in a month and this will be my 1st meal back in Sparks.

Good sandwich, right price but the place is very dated and not so clean looking. They must have a C rating I would guess. The counter menus were so dirty and greasy, I was afraid to touch them with my hands.

They over charge us everytime and are incredibly rude this used to be my favorite spot but I honestly will never spend a dime here again rude people kill the taste of food and

Worst Meatball Sandwich EVER. And the staff were not pleasant. I would not eat here. Gave the wrong order (which I tried to eat). When I returned with the sandwich they said it was what was ordered and refused to make it right.

A Sparks staple. They make the best pastrami sandwiches I have had in town. A fun place, and the staff seems to enjoy working here. Very eclectic decor inside. You need to have lunch here. At least once.

Imagine waiting for over 25 minutes for your order, than Imagine driving away to get back to work since you have a 30 min lunch break and you need to get back asap. Then Imagine that you opened your sandwiches wrapping to find out that it is not what you ordered and when you call about it the staff simply expects you to drive back to exchange your sandwich with no other options. This is very disappointing and any other place would have done more to rectify their mistake.

I was able to call in my order, and wait in my car till my order was ready. The sub I had was great. I recommend them to everyone.

Wasn't too impressed. Really small and dirty. Sandwiches tasted just like quiznos. Best thing about here was the sodas. Beach hut deli is way better

Horrible Staff! Dirty Restaurant! So I use to go here to eat all the time but every person who works there has definite hygiene issues. The only one there who seemed to be worth the time to go there was a new girl who ended up getting fired because the other dirt bags employed there didn't like her. Who does that! Go to Raleys up the street their deli is a hundred times better!

I'm not going to lie. The sandwich was huge and delicious. I probably would have given this place a 5 out of 5 if it weren't for a few things that had absolutely nothing to do with the food itself.

As mentioned previously the sandwiches are huge. The caviat is that they serve it to you on a tiny tray; no plates. It gets pretty messy.

The manager also has no problem humiliating her employees in the presence of customers. Yelled at them about pepperoncinis rather than reprimanding them for their mistakes in the back (private). I prefer to not hear that nonsense and gossip when out.

Finally, I prefer to not have any political slants thrown in my face when I get enough everywhere else. Maybe someone will slap a more positive bummer sticker over top someday. Weren't the "Yellow Submarine" Beatles all about peace and harmony?

This place is beyond your average sammich stop. Highly recommended.

This is a great place for a sandwich. The staff was super friendly, and the sandwiches are great. They are made with plenty of stuff, not like subway or any of the other chain places. And, the prices were reasonable. I will definitely go back.

Great sandwiches, the best I have found throughout my many travels. Regular stop on our way to Pyramid Lake.

The food was poorly made the avocado that I paid extra for was very little the radio music was so loud you couldn't have a conversation while you were eating nobody wore a hairnet so everybody's hair was exposed they've made a mistake with my sandwich and just took the lettuce off of my sandwich and put it on my daughter's sandwich they didn't follow specific instructions that I gave him. It said when the owners there she supervises the people but when they're gone it just looks like nobody cares

Took my kid here and we love it! The atmosphere was great and the customer service was fantastic. The food was great. They used real meat and lots of it. It was very filling. Well worth the price. Definitely happy I went there.

The hot pastrami sandwich was tasty, just need to go lighter on the lettuce.
