If you want a high end full service bike shop, this is the one. This is the best in Marin. They are very knowledgeable and extremely service focused. This all comes with a price, which is well worth it.

As a professional cyclist, I have traveled the world for races, relying on team mechanics, as well as local shops to keep my bike in working order. These experiences have all highlighted the world class service department at Studio Velo. Whenever I am home, I take the opportunity to bring my bike to Studio Velo for a thorough servicing because I know they will go above and beyond, giving me a higher level of service than I can expect anywhere else. My bike always leaves the shop in a timely manner in impeccable shape!

I was having trouble with being uncomfortable on long rides. I booked a custom fit session with Studio Velo to see if they could help me. After reviewing my riding position, Colin adjusted my seat height, seat position,, handlebars and cleats. My next ride I rode with comfort, ease and power. Colin and everyone else at Studio Velo made me feel at home and were very friendly to me. They will be seeing a lot more of me, that's for sure

Best bike shop in Marin by far. Inventory is insane, service is great, super cool atmosphere/look and feel. Love it. Don't go there looking for discounts. Go there looking for the best bikes and gear and mechanics...

I've been a customer of these guys for years, they have the best bicycle culture and amazing service. I bought my Pivot mountain bike and IF road bike, both fitted to my specific needs. If you're looking for the highest quality bike shop in the Bay Area...this is it.

My wife and I were in SF for Labor Day weekend. We rented bikes from Blazing Saddles and while we were tooling around in Mill Valley my derailer got off-center and my chain started dragging so bad on it that I could hardly pedal my bike. We called Blazing Saddles and they told us to go to Studio Velo and they should be willing to fix it for us. I did that and upon arriving and describing my situation, the sales associate quickly shut me down and told me all of their mechanics were swamped. She told me I should go down the road to Tam Bikes. I explained to her that my bike was essentially not rideable and she literally said, "It's a mile away and downhill." I proceeded to Tam Bikes where they not only fixed my bike in about 60 seconds but they proceeded in having a long conversation with me and gave me directions, etc. I would not recommend Studio Velo simply based on their customer service -- go to Tam Bikes instead as they don't seem to judge.

Placed an order online with them, and not only did it arrive quickly it even included a personal note! Who does that any more?

And this was on a product they had on sale, cheaper then anyone else on the web. Incredible service there.

Could not really of had a better experience. All staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They did a very good tune on my bike, and followed up with an email after to make sure all was good. Best bike store experience I've had.

If you're looking for a bike shop that's a passion...

If you're looking for a bike shop that's a passionate about cycling as you are, look no further. They've got all the good stuff here and more. What you won't find are beach cruisers, kid's bikes, etc. What you will is knowledgeable staff that want to know about you so they can give you the right stuff. I'm on my second custom bike (a Cyfac) from Studio Velo and thinking about how I can swing my next mountain bike here - maybe a Yeti 29er. Colin the bike fitter is first rate, I'm riding better than ever thanks to his exacting measurements.
