I know this place exits, but never chose to go there. I only came here as I found out about the business title being involved in local political endorsements.
Add the media advertising.
As the read the first two 1-Star reviews below: I never would want to attend such a location that makes so heavy a $$$$ fee, just to pick 'strawberries.'
I remember the time before the "Carlsbad Strawberry Fields."
The ".." was during the fight of local citizens to keep open space.
"Carlsbad Strawberry Fields" was originally intended a$ another touri$m trap, by the City.

Eh... It was okay. I thought $40 for a family of 6 to go in and pick a smallish bucket was a bit steep. The strawberries were plentiful and lots of really good berries to choose from. The rows were packed in pretty tightly and the wet dirt made for muddy shoes and pant legs. Wish there was a drier area to clean up or wash off before loading up to leave. Area was easy to find, parking wasn't a problem at all, but I wouldn't go back.

Fast friendly payment for hay ride or corn maze run (they take credit via Square). Clean parking (though limited) with active helpers to keep the packed dirt dry & packed. Some food vendors available (Mexican, Shaved Ice, Donut truck). Corn maze is as fun as advertised (but be sure to take a picture of the map). Definitely worth a visit at least once a year. Not your fair type pumpkin patch, which was fine for me because the corn maze was the better attraction.
Someday, will definitely try the haunted version (not for the faint of heart if you're scared of the maze in the daytime).

This is a great experience and is enjoyable. However, please be aware that the costs have changed. Admission is now being charged. I feel this makes the outing a rather pricey option now and we'll have to take the additional cost into consideration. The admission now adds costs on top of the premium price you pay for the strawberry picking experience.

Small bucket: $10 includes one admission
Large bucket: $20 includes two admissions
$5 per additional admission with no bucket
5 years and younger are free

I used to love this place as a kid, but prices for picking have skyrocketed. Additionally, toward the end of the season the strawberries are almost all incredibly overripe and starting to rot on the vine. I think it's a fun gimmicky stop if you've never done it before, but certainly not as whimsical as it used to be.

Bery unhappy. They made buckets for picking smaller and started charging 5 dollars for an adult to go in with a child. So 15 bucks for a small bucket of strawberries that were pretty pitifully small

my family and I used to come here every year. This year they required my whole family to pay an entrance fee AND pay for the bucket to pick strawberries. The staff was also very rude and gave us attitude. We will not be coming back to this place ever again.

Nice family outing! A lot of fun picking your own. You really stick to one small area while picking, but I guess you can explore more. Although, I would think one area is like all the others. Make sure to bring the kids for when your back starts hurting!! They don't mind doing the bending and picking!

Totally over priced. They make adult admission to the corn maize more than the kids admission. I mean what adult wants to do a corn maize. They give you no map for the maize! After being lost and tortured for 45 min we followed the sounds from the freeway, saw orange fencing and busted our way out! It was 16$ for 1 adult, 1 kid. The pumpkins are way over priced but that would have been fine if they had anything else to do except pay for expensive activities! They also have spendy tractor rides which is a tiny 5 min ride around pumpkins. They have hail bails and a few photo ops, but it was so hot with no shade. I raced outta there after 1 hour! I would not recommend at all. The employees seem unfriendly and unhappy. Find a better patch! You can find pumpkins for 5$ at other places!

Not very happy today when I went to visit with my granddaughter and 4 adult kids and their spouses. We were ready to spent some money on pumpkins but instead they had a $3 cover charge, give me a break. That would of been $24 just to enter. I also heard they are very expensive. I will not recommend or go back unless they remove the cover charge.

You get to pick your own strawberries!!! But you're limited to what you can fit into your mouth and a bucket.. One "Large" bucket will run you about $22 but you can go down to Wal-Mart and pick up about 10 packages of strawberries for less than what you will pay here.. The strawberries you get from Wal-Mart will be higher quality than what you'll pick yourself, I promise! This place is a total scam not to mention

Seriously the best strawberries you will ever eat! Pick your own of you have kids but buy a flat or a half flat if you're an adult. Don't take your date in her shorty. It's a farm where you get in the dirt and bend over to pick strawberries......

Never buy at the door! Last week because of time. Bought a box of strawberries for 24 dollars at the door. It looks very good. But when I went home to wash the strawberries, I felt cheated. There are some small and rotten strawberries under the beautiful and big strawberries. I really feel sick for you.

They told me to pay an admission fee for three people in order to buy 3 pumpkins for my wife myself and my kid. I explained that all we wanted to do was buy 3 pumpkins and not tour the grounds and they said you still had to pay the admission

WARNING: There is a 5 dollar fee per person just to enter. It's then 10 more dollars for the corn maze which takes about 10 min to complete. Checkpoint #6 is missing. All the food is also way overpriced (7 dollars for a small drink).

Sweetest strawberries ever get right off the vine. It's only a five-minute walk from my home and I buy them all the time. Can't get fresher then right off the vine and you get to pick them yourself.

This place is a scam. We bought a big bucket for 22 dollars just to go out and find out that none of the strawberries were worth picking. Hardly any were ripe, many of the plants looked like they were dying, and most of the ripe strawberries we saw were molding. We didn t pick anything and immediately went back to ask about a refund. That s when they just started to act like they couldn t speak English very well and shook their heads no. Also, just a heads up, the entire crop is under high power lines. I didn t want to walk around under them for 2 hours trying to find decent strawberries. What kind of place doesn t give a refund for someone walking in and deciding to walk right back out after they see the product? This place is a scam.

They have a pumpkin patch that they charge $10 to go to but you aren't allowed to take pumpkins from the patch. So it's $10 per person for a lame 'hay ride' and not picking your own pumpkins. It completely defeats the purpose of a pumpkin patch and is definitely not worth the money.

Update: when we asked for a refund the manager tried to say that purchasing a hayride doesn't mean that you get a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch you purchased a ride to. Then they finally gave us a refund but only a partial refund as we still entered and so we still had to pay their extra 3 dollar entrance fee. We checked and there were no signs anywhere that said you couldn't pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. To me this feels like a scam

This place is horrible because, on the website it doesn't explain the prices and it has a lack of information, second thing is even though they have a number on the website they never pick up. Also, it costs more than what is says on the website, if you have 5 family members is costs 60 dollars.

The strawberries are so sweet, maybe some of the best I've ever tasted. But I wonder what are the little worms I keep finding burrowing in and on them.
(You can find the photo I took of the worm in the "photos" section #38)

My wife and I had an awesome date night visit here last night. In these uncertain times it feels good to have a sense of familiarity of the seasons and to get out of the house and still be in a safe environment.

From the front gate there is signage ensuring patrons wear masks, a well-stocked sanitizer station and a staff member checking the temperature of each guest upon arrival. The farm is large, outdoors and there is plenty of space so even without taking the meticulous precautions it is very safe and clean.

They had music playing, a canopied picnic area, food trucks, high-powered apple air cannons, two corn mazes (both haunted and regular) and a giant pumpkin patch, along with a market of pre-picked pumpkins in various sizes.

The staff were very friendly and the close proximity to the ocean provides opportunities for amazing photography especially during sunset.

Such a wonderful company. They really outdo themselves for Halloween time. The kids have so much fun. The prices are reasonable. At first the price for the maze seemed high but its 45 minutes of pure fun.

A bit overpriced in my opinion, but it was a fun experience and made for some good pictures and about an hour and a half of entertainment! We didn't experience any issues with our strawberries, but a friend told me her's had worms in them

20 dollars for a large bucket. 10 dollars for a small bucket. 5 dollars for entrance and all you can eat strawberries Kids five and under are free. We had a good time. Rows are raised and weeds are non existent. Easy to pick and fill a bucket. Great way to spend an hour or so!

Loved it, first timer. It was a very easy process. You pay for your bucket and start picking strawberries. It started to get busy around 12. I was worried that all the strawberries would be picked from people going during the week. But i was wrong. There are a lot of strawberries left to pick from. My 3yr old son got the hang of it fast and had so much fun. Will be coming back every year.

Straight forward and pleasant experience. The farm has established masking and distancing policies, and everyone was following them, so it was a good time. Good way to spend 30-45mins (depending on how selective you wish to be with what you pick). Cost was $10 for adult entry with small bucket for an adult. Entry cost for 2 adults, 2 teens, and 2 buckets was $30. They have hand washing stations at the entrance/exit, which was welcomed after getting strawberry juices on our fingers.
