Never ever stay here!!!!

Never ever stay here!!!!

That is by far the worst hotel in the Philippines I have visited so far, for many reasons:

Let's start with the check-in procedure, although they knew, that we are belonging to a big group for a conference, they were not able to arrange an early check-in. So we were forced to spend/waste time in the nearest SM to hang around.
Next thing: although I stayed with a colleague on a TWO BED room, they provided only one key card for the door. I mean, is it so weird for them that two people need two cards? Ok, for a deposit of 250p they provided another one, at least.

You think, they have WiFi? Yes, they have, but it is so damn slow that you can not use it properly and take Skype calls or any other serious (business related) matters. This hotel wants to be a conference hotel with Casino and other (wannabe) nice facilities, but they suck already with the basics.
But the WiFi is not only slow, they only provide ONE access for ONE device. Hey guys, again, we were two people and it is possible that they have more than one device. Please consider my irony! Only I have 3 devices with me. My colleagues were told to pay a charge for further access, unbelievable. I haven't accepted that and went to the reception, at least I got as many as I want without any charge. Good for them!

But let's switch to the worst part of that horror house: the food. The breakfast, if you want to call it like that is horrible yucky and the choices are very limited. Beside rice they serve an oily cabbage, deep-fried dried fish and a horrible beef, every day the same. And our conference had also the pleasure to enjoy that dogs-food during lunch and dinner.
We decided to go out for every single meal since we were not willing to eat any piece of that.
Want to hear another nice story? When we ordered McDo for breakfast, they haven't allowed the driver to enter the building, so we were forced to go to the lobby. And guess what? They asked for a corkage fee!!! What a shame for any serious hotel and it shows that they are not only forcing people to eat their left-over blends of lunch and dinner, they also want to squeeze out every single pesos out of the pocket of their so called guests.

The building and the rooms are ok so far, the little side note that our cabinets inside the room smelled like a blend of vomit and poop is not so important considering the previous experiences. Maybe that is the reason why a cockroach has visited us to spend some time with us

So, for everyone who is expecting a 4 star hotel for 4 star hotel prices, please go to the bottom and expect not just to be not welcomed, but also horrible service, food and staff. But hey, it is more fun the Philippines, EXCEPT HERE.

I recently visited Stotsenberg and found the staff very friendly and helpful. The room service was great and there seemed to be an upgrade going on in one section of the hotel. The casino was full and there were people from all over the world. The best thing is its only 5 minutes from Clark airport.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! This place is as bad as it gets. None of the listed amenities are open. No casino, no restaurants, no bars. We asked the main cafe for a drink and got dirty looks from the four employees watching basketball on their phone. Our bathroom was moldy and smelled like urine. There arent very many guests here. Now i know why. Terrible.

Nice hotel where we stayed for our seminar. Its not the usual hotel we go to. Its like a big compound of connected buildings where a the center of it is a small fountain and park with benches in some corners. It has gym near the pool. Since its located inside Clark, going to other locations here can be a challenge if don't have a car. We were shuttled here by private bus. So its good theirs Grab here. So it pays if have their app in ur phone.

An hotel where the rooms have no windows!!! A breakfast that I will not recommend to anyone. Room clean and spacious. Could be a last choice of a desperate person looking for a place where to sleep. Nothing to do there.

We went to Hotel Stotsenberg for a writing workshop from March 25 to 27. The location was nice; it is a 10 minute ride from the airport via taxi. The food was also good - in fact, we ate all day while working. The staff were also accommodating to our requests. The rooms were a bit cramped, but that's because of three beds as compared to the usual two.

But some of their facilities need an upgrade. In the restroom at our room, for example, water was pooling on the floor. One of the main toilets is also "out of order". The internet was slow at times. Hotel slippers were also absent; we had to bring our own slippers, among other things. Aside from the pool, there are not much facilities in the hotel. (This place called S-bar is closed by nighttime, coincident with our free time after the workshop.)

Overall, it is a good place to stay. They just have to improve on the quality of their facilities.

Plenty of outside parking. Spacious yet old looking room with enough cooling, and a table for your belongings. We slept comfortably on the clean beds. The room needs renovation to improve its overall comfort and looks. The toilet and bath room has a tub, cold and hot water options, personal hygiene items, liquid bath soap, and shampoo. The toilet and bath do need better maintenance and cleaning to eliminate bad odor. Wi-Fi inside our ground floor room has weak signal, and LTE coverage is spotty. The Front Desk and Room Service were ok to respond to our needs at night. The staff and security people are friendly, with most of them greeting us when walking at the hallways. Hacienda Lounge has moderately priced and good tasting Filipino food. We liked the Pork Sisig and Pork Sinigang. The restaurant is only open until about 10 PM. Massage service is available until 2 AM. The fountain area inside the hotel grounds looks great, and the outside area around the hotel is quiet and green, a great break from city life. Transportation may be hard in this location. There is a roving public jeep, or you may use Grab car. Walking to Filinvest Mimosa is definitely doable, except when the sun is high, despite being almost 2 km in distance. No convenience store nearby.

Room is unclean. We have defective television and shower. We have to ring the maintenance a couple of times to fix the tv and shower. With food, we were expecting a buffet service for breakfast but we were told that since only few booked that day then alcarte will only be provided which is a substandard service. Buffer service should be served regardless. Gym facilities are ok as there are only 1 treadmill that works. Although, staff are friendly and nice. Overall a rating of 2.

I'll start off on a positive note. The courtesy of the staff was very good. Everyone went out of their way to say good morning and other pleasantries. However, all the good manners in the world could not increase my rating for this hotel. Here are my problems:

1. Room service food, after eaten, was placed outside. However, it would not be picked up until around noon. Cats and other stray animals would roam the halls from the doors that were left open in the inner courtyard and eat the leftover food.

2. I saw more than one cockroach.

3. I really enjoyed their Cream of Hearty Soup. I ordered it many times over my two week stay. However, they only had it for two days and never replenished their stock. When asked to put in another order, I did. Several times they came back and said they were out. One time, I had to put in four orders because the first three were out of stock.

4. The breakfast was free and quite good in the beginning. After the third day of my stay, it went totally down hill. I get the feeling that, again, they ran out of stock on many items because they were serving hot dogs for breakfast at one point.

5. Myself and a few of my coworkers in other rooms had issues with bed bugs. Flies were quite rampant as well due to food being left out for so long. It was quite a nuisance eating in their dining facility, because flies would buzz around my head and try to land on the food I was eating.

6. When I left the hotel, I believe I left two work related books there. I called their housekeeping, as I had moved down the street to another hotel because of these issues, to ask them if they were left. Housekeeping informed me it would be 24 hours before they could verify. That was absurd! It was also the last straw, and why I wrote this cautionary review. The Xenia hotel is new and the rooms are much nicer. It has the same amenities as the Stotsenberg for the same price, if not cheaper.

7. Price gouging. 90 pesos for a can of Coke? Really? The local convienence store sells a bottle of Coke for 32 pesos. That's almost three times the amount of typical market value, and it's the same with many of their menu items. It really feels like they take advantage of their customers.

8. WiFi was terrible. So slow I couldn't even use it.

Do not be fooled by the nice outward appearance of the Stotsenberg or politeness of the staff. The quality of life while you live here will be the equivalent of sleeping on the streets (the beds are stiff). The only difference is that you'll be spending money to be miserable.

Been there three times :) it is very near from Clark airport. Rooms and facilities are well cleaned. It has a lot of seminar or multi purpose hall, good for your events or any occasions. It has a pool and garden inside. :) Good hotel around Pampanga

Food is bad especially the breakfast. It's one of the worst! Hotel staff lack courtesy, warmth, and smiles especislly the Assistant Manager who is in the front desk. Room accommodation is below mediocre. How did this become a four star hotel, when it is not even well-maintained?!?!

Stayed in this hotel for three days on Official business. We stayed in one of the executive suite. Location, facade and design is well planned. However the hotel needs overall refurbishing and repairs. The food served in the seminar needs improvement.

While this is not so bad a place to stay i do think it needs more work done, might just be the room I stayed in,but in any case walking around the backyard or courtyard if you may doesn't seem that bad it is actually quite relaxing, the casino is small size but you still get the fun of pressing those buttons. I gave a 3star cos there is room for improvement needles to say I still will recommend to friends if you want a quite place for fun yet not so over the board expensively experience here in the Philippines.

The lobby restaurant they need to improve their customer service. I order breakfast just garlic rice with tocino & eggs I was waiting for almost 50 mins, & their not even busy is only 3 table wt customer that already have their food, till I just got up from the restaurant & cancelled my orders & file a complain. Even though I'm paying for my breakfast, very poor customer service. The front desk are stuck up & the rooms are very old & even has mildew in the closet. The front of the Blvd is very nice but the back where the rooms are is kinda creepy & look very old need renovation Big Time... And thats why I just stay for 3 days & moved to another hotel till finish my vacation here in the Phils..
