If you like to be reamed of $30 for cheese on a block with some crackers in an atmosphere of sheer stuck-uptitude, then by all means come up to Stormcloud Brewing Co. When I come to a place like this, highly rated as it is, it would be quite nice to see a menu bigger than a enlarged postcard. Sorry, unimpressed.

Great service, good food, loved the atmosphere and super nice bathroom. I'll be back!

Food and brews are delicious but the service was horrible. The bartender was so distracted by the football games playing that he forgot that he actually had to serve his customers. Watched while the other bartenders rushed about to pick up his slack. Not cool buddy.

Very friendly place. Excellent beer and food. Based on a Belgian beer, so all Belgian selections. Told that there are lines down the sidewalk in the summertime. Sign of a great place. Also, at bathrooms, is a map with pins from all over the world locating customers.

Spicy Italian sandwich and Belgium beer were great, staff and patrons were very friendly. Only suggestion would be to add a couple more TVs

Beer and food were good, service was just okay. Granted they were busy when we got there but it slowed quite a bit by time we got a table. We kept getting handed back and forth between two waitresses. Not sure what the reason was for that but it seemed a little awkward.

We were on vacation in Michigan for a week and I can say this was our favorite place out of anywhere we tried. The outdoor seating area is a cool environment to socialize & eat. Their spinach and artichoke dip was the best I have ever had. Highly recommend if you re in the area!!!

Mine plain, hers with goat cheese and bacon. When asked if we wanted chips or coleslaw, I was deciding, and she said, "Or you can have a little of both." So that's what we decided. We also ordered a beer each. My daughter got hers right away (brought by another server), and I sat there and watched people all around me getting theirs! I was dumbfounded because the people next to us ordered Rainmaker's too! Finally, after a grueling 15 min, I was able to flag her down! She hadn't put my beer order in! Then when we got our food order, my daughter's grilled cheese came with tomato and goat cheese, not with bacon! So later she brought bacon bits to the table. When I got the bill, I was surprised to see we were charged $2 ea for getting both chips and coleslaw! She didn't inform us that would be the case! Also, there was a charge for the bacon, as well as the goat cheese and tomato! I may be reluctant to return there next summer.

My wife and I were invited by friends to dine in . Service at the restaurant was horrible. The only choice on the menu was flat bread which was highly priced.

Great place n great owners who care! Locals and tourists, are both happily welcomed. Beer n food great too!! Family n friends who visit, always want to go there.

Good food and service overall. Pizza was on the salty side. Pretzel appetizer was good. 2 beers, pretzel app. And a pizza all came to $40 bucks. Little on the pricey side.

Thank my lucky stars this brewery was on the map or we wouldn't of deviated from our route as tourists visiting the nearby lighthouse. The beers are wonderful! Standouts: Whiled Away IPA and the Imperial Star-Off Machine Ale. Only had the soft pretzel appetizer which were 6 nice sized bites with a homemade mustard made with their Rainmaker Ale. It was delicious. If I was a local it would be my go to spot!

At first, we were hesitant to go on a busy summer night because it looked so busy- 5 minutes later we had a hightop counter table for all six of us. Friendly staff and clever menu.

Superb! This place caters well to people with complex allergies (mammal and dairy for instance). They have gluten free pizza crust (dairy free) that tastes like real stuff (not cardboard). They had vegan cheese that tasted like cheese, and loads of veggies on the pizza. Great atmosphere, great service.

Two-and-a-half hours to get mediocre, tiny pizzas. We were told the wait was an hour. An hour later they said another 30 minutes. Then after being seated it took an hour to get our food because "the kitchen was backed up". I can give the beer high marks, and maybe it was an off-night, but the food and service were very sub-par to what we have experienced around Frankfort.

I'm not a beer drinker, but the cider is killer! Ate lunch here with my son and started with the pretzel bites and fresh mustard, followed by a flatbread pizza. I have to say it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had and we will definitely be back. Our server, Emma, was knowledgeable and willing to answer all our questions about the menu and the drinks.

If you like good beer, good food and a great atmosphere - then you need to visit Stormcloud Brewing Company! During the summers you can sit outside and enjoy the fantastic weather. In the winter grab Dinner at Stormcloud then head next door for a movie at the Garden theater.

Update: Following the post of this review I was able to get in contact with Stormcloud. I appreciate the way it was handled after the fact. While the experience was unsettling and unpleasant, the way the restaurant worked to acknowledge, own up, and respond to the situation is admirable.

I ordered a gluten-free pizza and after Halfway through eating it my friend got his pizza, which was not GF. I realized mine Looked identical to his, meaning mine was not gluten-free. They notified me they messed up the order.
I ended up having to go to the bathroom and force myself to throw up everything I just ate. I would have been incredibly sick if I had not done so. But to force myself to throw up due to their mistake. It is very upsetting. The server was aware of this.
They delivered a second pizza that was gf this time, but they still charged me for the order. I am very disappointed with the entire experience. I understand mistakes happen, but I should not have been charged And something should have been done to accommodate for the mistake.

Good experience, food was good and came quickly. Service was good too, except for a tardy round of drinks. We went on July Fourth and they seemed a bit understaffed. The beer was good. We'll be back.

8/15/2020 Enjoyed great brews after golf and the music was amazing.
The food truck was delicious. We were happy that our dog was able to join us as well! Thank you for his bowl of cold water too.
Only one suggestion. We did see a table that had a smaller size dog and they had it laying on the top of the table. Kinda gross where people are eating. I would hate to be the next group at that table.

I love this town and love breweries! I don t even mind the one hour Covid wait. I was disappointed by the processed meat and cheese on my Reuben and our mediocre pizza. Kind of like fast food. Service was friendly and good. Food was less then great. Hoping for better in a town that likes good food. Beer was not remarkable. Wish I liked it better!

We absolutely LOVE this place! This isn't just a place to stop at, it's a destination! The best beers in the state and atmosphere is great! We just enjoyed a bowl of the cheddar ale soup and even that is excellent!!! Enjoy!

Incredible beer. Absolutely top notch quality. Food is quite good as well. Pizza was delicious, as were the "stormsticks". The beer really stands out though. On a state full of goods beer, this is one of the highest quality.

I visited stormcloud while on a bicycle tour of the lake Michigan shoreline and could not have been happier with the quality of the beer, food, and atmosphere. My girlfriend and I were tired from a days ride and enjoyed the opportunity to unwind with good drink and food. We were impressed with the treatment we received by the owner of the establishment, being a Brewer my self I appreciated the tour of the brewery. If you are in town and are looking for good food, drink, and maybe some live music, stop by!

Stopped in twice during an autumn trip to Frankfort. Had two different flights of their beers, and each brew was uniquely fantastic. The food was quite good as well, especially their pizzas. Would definitely recommend!

The gluten free pizza was amazing. Seriously. A great gf is hard to find. I was impressed. Staff was friendly. Service was super fast.

Amazing belgians that are always rotating for the season. They're always trying something new and you can count on excellence. A lot of great ipas as well. The food is also great and the servers give good advice.

Beer was good, no complaints there. Not much of a menu though. Ordered the pretzel bites which only come with mustard. They were supposed to be hot, came out barely warm and hard on the outside. Service was so so. I saw waitstaff that was hustling, unfortunately our waiter wasn't one of them. Beer gets a 4 to 5 star, food and menu selection a 2 or so (not the typical great menus you get at brewpubs. No wings, burgers, nachos etc. More lunch menu and pizza). If your a beer lover you may love this place, if your a foodie, keep on walking.

This place is a must-go for us! Love the beer selection, love the food, love the location, love the people! There are always many beers on tap so you can find something for everyone. Also, nice place to just hang out and enjoy downtown Frankfort. There's a patio open in the summer, and definitely a good soda selection for the non-drinkers too.

My love and I visited Stormcloud on Sunday May 19 of this year and were greeted by very friendly and knowledgeable staff! Tasty brews and cozy atmosphere and wonderful service!?We will be back for sure and highly recommend this little gem of a brewery!

First of all, my partner and I both work in the service industry and absolutely love Stormcloud. It's a must-stop whenever we're in the area. The beer is always stellar, and the food has never disappointed (the goat cheese/apple pizza is fire). We shared a couple flights and apps (whitefish dip and green beans, small but delicious). Unfortunately the service this last visit was... woof. Like, so bad I don't want to use their name. This person was very short with us while at the table and unattentive. They never touched back after we received our entrees, and my partner finished her meal before we had to flag a different server to correct my entree order and get a second round of drinks. Eventually I asked for the tab, and I kid you not I sat there for over 20 minutes waiting to cash out, making eye contact with our server and multiple other workers. They were on a wait, so I felt bad.
As far as covid stuff goes, they were very upfront and orderly. Everything was sanitized and awesome. You gotta love their big patio. 100% we will be back, Stormcloud we love y'all but if that person is our server again we are going to politely ask to switch sections. Sorry not sorry

Arrived at 915pm, open till 10pm. Was told kitchen closed "a couple minutes ago". Drove 30 min... Not happy.

Drove over from TC on a recommendation from staff at Terra Firma, well worth the trip for beers. Live in northern Minnesota, I'd have a drinking problem if I lived closer. Staff great also, didn't try food but it looks fantastic.

Good vibe but 35 minutes for a burned bratwurst?? If I had not asked it may have been really burned. Brews are great for the town. FRANKFORT IS A GREAT TOWN. A few more food choices would help. Basic sandwich veggie fare here.

Great food, great beer, and they are putting their customers' safety first in the Covid19 era. Their outdoor host station has a plexiglass divider installed, they take your name and cell # when you request a table so they can text you when it's ready, rather than have a crowd congregating around the entrance waiting for tables. Seating is well spaced more than 6 ft apart (even outdoors), and all employees wore masks at all times. Truly enjoyed eating here and the measures they're taking show that they care about their customers.

Fantastic brewery, great food. Beer Pretzels and Stormavore Pizza (carnivore pizza) was hot and delicious! Bartenders were friendly but gave you space, waitstaff was friendly. Social Distancing was followed and cleanliness was peak. Very happy. 10/10, would go back again. (Also their cider was great )

We stopped in for a late lunch during the off season (April). Service was quick and the food was great. I highly recommend the flatbread pizzas the homemade crust was crunchy and flavorful. We will be back when we re in town again!

I love this place, our family visits Stormcloud everytime we're in Frankfurt. The staff is awesome, the food is great and the beer is spot on..I have to say Thirty One Planes IPA is my favorite beer of all time. Must visit this establishment.

Amazing restaurant would recommend it to friends. We come here every year when we are in Michigan for vacation. The food is delicious every time. Coming to this restaurant is one of the things I look forward to when coming to Michigan. Your pizza is great here.

Beer was great!!! Nice to see a, quite impressive variety of Belgians and Belgian/American Ales. After a long day mountain biking the beer and creatively delicious pizzas hit the spot. Ower and staff couldn't have been nicer. Overall a must stop in NW Mich.

the reviews and suprisingly they have really good comments. I say that because I had a group of 5 that went there on 11aug2020 and had the worst service and food in a long time. After two people said to go here we waited 45 mins to get a table (ehh not terrible). Are server was flustered right from the start, asked for water and got a pitcher and plastic cups (saw glass cups of water at other tables). Ordered beers and some apps, took 20 mins and was sub par. Server wasn't very attentive, and our dinners were so bad that with 4/5 of us in the service industry we actually didn't want to tip and some of us didn't even touch our dinners and was so overpriced ($14 for personal pan pizza that was worse than a frozen pizza). Food was bland, confusing, and prepared terribly. Almost walked out within 15 mins of sitting down and would never recommend/return ever. 0/5

Nice place to relax, people watch, and enjoy a beer.

Stopped in for lunch wile visiting the beach and had great food and beer. Our waitress was on top of everything and made our visit fast and enjoyable. I had the Fowl weather sandwich and I swear it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten at a restaurant! Great job Stormcloud brewery!
