Had drinks and food in the patio. The view is fabulous. Probably not the best place for dinner out in the area but for light fare and the bar is underrated.

First time out, really enjoyed the layout, beautiful course. It's a shame people don't fix their ball marks or pick up thier feet on the greens. Slowest round I've played this year. Guys behind us didnt even finish the round. No course marshall to be seen, expected a better experience from a place with a good reputation. (Played 7/11/2020)
The course is in great shape. Love the variety of holes, challenging and fun. Great staff. Go enjoy this terrific course.
High price point for the area but certainly worth playing periodically.
Stonewall has a nice layout and good conditioning for the high volume of play it receives on a daily basis. Rates are a little up there but about what you would expect for a course in the area. Food in the restaurant is great!
Great golf course for the price. Food is really good too.
I like Stonewall, but it is not worth the asking price. They can't charge a premium price for an average course. No complaints, but I am not going to drive 20 miles farther and pay $40 more for a course that is just OK, compared to Laurel Hill (for example).
A beautiful view and a nice menu for a group to dine on. I was there for a Christmas dinner and this was a well managed by a friendly staff.
Nice course with lots of good water views. The greens had a good amount of ball marks but the course conditions are better than most right now. Not an easy course.
Had been hearing about this course for quite a while and finally made it out there. Great course, very scenic, quiet and for the most part in good shape. I'd give it 5 stars except some of the tee boxes were pretty rough, the guy on the beverage cart was completely clueless on service etiquette on a golf course and the pro shop staff were not unfriendly but were definite not friendly either. Bit overpriced I feel, more like an $80 course but if you want to play from time to time and pay more it is beautiful. The course skits around the lake from up above so some really nice views, wonderful houses and a great experience.
Beautiful layout as advertised, and tough but fair. Unfortunately, the round took 5 1/2 hours, which is completely unacceptable. It is also unacceptable to expect strangers to share a cart in the time of Covid. Lots of ball marks on the greens were also a negative. In summary, nice course, but not sure it s worth the money.
Service was great, the scenerie was very nice and food was excellent but the course was not in very good condition the greens on the back 9 were all aerated and not finished. I am still giving 4 stars because the gave us a discount for the inconvenience
Business people - Stonewall golf course is a great country club to use for your business meetings in the clubhouse if you're looking for a venue to host. The price is right, service is good, they're responsive, and the best part is it's far enough removed from the beltway that your attendees shouldn't have a problem getting there on time of they're coming from the city
Wry nice course. Challenging. Difficult greens. Overpriced green fees compared to other local courses.
Course was hard as hell but it was beautiful and good pace
One of my favorite public courses in Virginia. Sitting on Lake Manassas gives it spectacular views, but also challenging golf!
Played this course for the first time today and REALLY enjoyed it. Terrific layout in great condition. Fairways are wide and there's no surprises. You can see exactly what you need to do on every hole. Tee boxes for every level of play. But you pay a severe price when you miss a fairway. 2nd cut is brutal. I lost a ball on 18 and I don't think I was 6 feet off the fairway. This is how golf courses should be. Greens were superb. Quick even though they were soft. Very readable. Every hole is unique. Clubhouse service excellent and prices reasonable considering the venue. Will definitely be back.
Will only provide 2 carts per foursome despite Covid regulations. Told 2 golfers would need to walk and that s their policy. No range balls either so no warmups. No sign of a marshall despite one very slow group blocking traffic for all. Millions of ball marks all over every slow unrolled green. Tee boxes a disaster. This place is clearly terribly managed. Would not recommend. Used to be a real nice course a few years ago.
I can not recommend Stonewall Golf Club to any golfer. I seldom give negative ratings but this is the third time I ve been requested in the last 6 weeks to rate my most recent experience. My most recent experience on the course has to be six (6) years ago or longer. And it was my favorite area course but I m sure that is not helpful to them or you, the reader. Most recently I contacted the course to make a T-time but upon checking, I was informed despite COVID-19, golfers would be required to share a cart with any other player wanting a golf cart. I could not rent one just for me; couldn t rent two; couldn t rent 4. Nope, I had to sign up for any other desiring rider to join me. That is not social distancing and I can think of nothing more antagonistic to golf than a mask (I can t see well without my glasses and no mask fails to fog my glasses). I suggested they could offer single golf-cart reservations at a $9 premium (or some such amount) and in that way grow their golf cart stable. I was told that was too expensive. Keep in mind there is a new and used golf cart store just down route 29 from Stonewall. If a high price course like Stonewall (my favorite by the way when I could get there) can t afford to grow its golf cart stable then I wonder, without having been there for years, if the course continues to perform as its former great style. Or, perhaps Stonewall, like federal republican congressmen generally, consider COVID 19 To be a hoax; I do not and can not risk exposure. So I feel compelled to give the rating a 1 star (or a half star if possible).
Respectable golf course and charming clubhouse. It has the aire of southern Mansion and locals use it as a wedding venue. The food and ambiance of the restaurant are both quite good weather for a business gathering or a social occasion.
A beautifully maintained golf course with a friendly staff, Stonewall is a golf course that any golfer will enjoy playing.
Beautiful, challenging course. Greens lacking upkeep the day I went.
Stonewall Golf Club at Lake Manassas is home to a championship golf course that ranks with some of the best in Virginia. This tree-lined parkland layout provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. A must play if you are in the area.
Always have an awesome time here. They're generous with their range balls. The greens are fast and well kept. The layout is challenging and just enough variety to challenge any player and keep them interested.
Good food. Some staff was rude though. Drinks were not consistent. But still a solid venue.
Great, challenging course. Always a good time out there.
Fairways are constantly saturated with water making them unbearable to the average golfer . Some of the divots left by me and many others could flip a cart over. Tee boxes and greens are the worst I've seen in 30 years of golfing.. Bring your check book !! An errant drive is sure to find one of the homes that snuggle the fairways.. Marshall's ... No worries .. They don't have any so a five hour round is the norm. I stayed away from this place for two years after experiencing the same conditions back then.On Sunday I played it because a friend was given a free pass for reasons you wouldn't believe. I stopped playing after the third hole due to the conditions.. My golf game deserves much better..Pricing is completely ridiculous !! There are Many courses in the area that are much better for at least half the price.. To make matters worse... I live here.. That's sad
Wonderful course, great service! Other courses are so wet they are almost unplayable. Stonewall drains so well that the conditions are outstanding. It is a must play in Northern Virginia.
Very pleasant experience at this course. Wide open on a Sunday afternoon
We ve played at this golf course at least 20 times, and have always had a positive experience on the course and in the restaurant. We ve always treated the staff with courtesy and respect, and tipped very well.
Last night, we returned to the restaurant in the clubhouse after a round of golf to get a quick bite to eat. A guest (not a member) began taunting me and my friend for no reason whatsoever and would not stop trying to engage us in an argument even after we repeatedly ignored him. Eventually things got heated and the unruly patron asked me to step outside. But instead of asking the perpetrator / instigator to leave the premises, we were asked to leave.
The manager REFUSED to even pay for or any of our meal or drinks as a courtesy!
It s hard to understand management s rationale, but we are never going there again.
