As a long-time customer at this location, I can vouch for their skills & professionalism. Service is consistently friendly & prompt & they make every effort to accommodate special and rush requests.

I needed some alterations done on my grad dress so I headed to Midtown Plaza a few weeks ago to Stitch It where I was treated very very rude. I called them, hoping it would be better, and got a very rude lady who told me she "Didn't F***ing understand what I was talking about." As the first words out of her mouth.

I decided to go to K&M Sewing in Lawson Heights and the ladies there were pleasant, eager to help, good prices and I spent a long time conversing with them and they were willing to do anything I needed done, happily.

I highly recommend them, they're a family owned business and if I ever need clothing alterations I won't think twice about K & M Sewing!!

If possible, I would give 0 star. Each and every person working there, including the owner ( I assume) don t have any manner. They lack professionalism, expertise, and customer service. My personal note would be, if you hate your profession this much and don t know your work, it s time to look for a different profession that possibly involves least human interaction.

Not only is the service top-class & genuine, the quality of the work is outstanding. The woman who helped me was very kind & helpful - I'll definitely be visiting the Center Mall location once it opens.

Best service I have ever had! I went in today during busy grad season, and the lady was able to make something work so that I could have my dressed fixed on short notice. I would recommend this place to everyone. Very friendly and professional staff.

I took in my bridesmaid dress and they did a decent job with taking in the bust area but totally butchered the length of the dress (I needed it shortened). It was supposed to be long and flowing and they some how managed to make it too short on my small frame.

The lady working there was awfully rude right after we entered into the store. I needed to get the job done, so was ignoring her behaviour. While we were waiting for her to finish taking measurements and saying estimates, she looked at us suddenly and said something really rude out of blue. She then asked a lot of money to fix a tiny thing, so we decided to leave. Never will go there again. But they surely need to learn one thing, "Courtesy costs nothing but buys all".

Terrible service. The altercations are mediocre and the owner was so rude, abrupt, and impatient. My friend changed into a few different dresses here to get altered, and the owner kept coming and ripping the changing room curtain back, giving her no privacy. Shocking.

I just went here and had the best experience with Corina. She s amazing and did the stitching on my pants super fast. I just walked in and out. Very efficient and friendly. Will definetely be going back in the future for alterations! Thank you Corina. I highly recommend her.

I would give zero star if the system allows me.
worst service I have ever got. The lady there I assume was the owner, her pictures were on the wall, was extremely rude and impatient. Hopefully it will shut down soon enough and replaced by better sewing service. Worst service I ve ever got.

I had the pockets of my leather jacket replaced as they had pretty much shredded on their own. We brought the jacket in on a Thursday and were told it would be complete by Tuesday, which it was. The repair job was done extremely well. I can t even see where they went in to do the work. I am extremely pleased with the results.

I asked for patches on my jacket to be sewn symmetrically. I didn't think it would be such a difficult task but the workers had to redo it twice and in the end I have now wasted time, money, and my jacket is ruined. Not only was the quality of the work amateurish but I've never received such substandard customer service until doing business with Stitch It. I spoke with the owner about how taking off the patches repeatedly has destroyed my jacket and she said my jacket is cheap and it doesn't matter anyway. I've never been so speechless.

Terrible customer service, sub-par work, awful ownership. With zero standards and care to your clothing. WOULD NEVER GO AGAIN. Asked to get an adjustment to a pair of pants, owner said the pants were misplaced after they couldn't find it. Was called back to say they found the pants but they had used it as scrap material, so I'm left with a pair of half shorts with ripped stitching. Literally any body would be able to provide a better service and quality work. A blind, arm-less child could do a better job.

I have gone to Stitch It a few times now and the ladies have always been very pleasant. They always ask when I need the item by and do a good job of getting the job done. I had 2 hems fall out not long after getting them and the lovely lady quickly took it and hemmed it on spot! I will always use them going forward!

"Stitch it" is my go to place for all stitching and alteration issues. They are an easy, clean and a professional service. My experience with Corina has been a delight; she is friendly and has done great fitting from my small things like shirts to a big duvet cover. I would highly recommend going to stitch it and being helped by Corina! All the best.

Went to midtown mall location to get the hem fixed on a pair of slacks. Lovely friendly service and the seamstress asked if i could wait two minutes and she would do the job right away. I took a quick stroll around the (literally two minutes) came back and they were already done. Nice as I had expected to have to come back another day. Better yet she comped the quick job. Made my day.
Thanks!

I went there to get my grad dress tailored, and the service absolutely sucked, she said that she would make it tighter and as well cut off the sleeves for $40, we go and get the dress its sleeveless ( which I wanted ) but it wasn t tight like how I asked for, IT WAS A SCAMMM!!!! For $40, Never got refunded or anything, I m never recommend that place to anyone, IT WAS HORRIBLE!!!

The lady was so rude whenever we go there, we supposed to have a pants hemmed and she gave us this look from head to toe and said "She's busy and the pants will be ready in wk". Which lead us to cancel because we knew she just doesn't want to work on it.

I have taken three things to Stitch It over the years, and I have been very happy with the quality and service.

The first was getting a dressed altered for my girlfriend. It was a last minute purchase, and we needed to get it taken in. We went to Stitch It, and they didn't have time to fully alter the dress, but they came up with a simple fix that didn't damage the dress, allowed it to be altered properly later, and looked good. If I remember right, they had this alteration done in a day or two.

The second was getting zipper slides replaced. I had two jackets where the zipper slide was worn out. Instead of trying to replace the whole zipper, they check to make sure that the zipper was still good and that it was the slide that had the problem. In a couple days, I had winter jackets ready to wear, and just in time for winter to hit.

The third item is a nubuck leather jacket. The jacket shell was holding up great, but the cloth liner was rapidly wearing out. They looked the jacket over, examined the sleeve liners (they were still in good shape), etc., and replaced only the part the part of the liner that needed replacing (even reusing the inside pockets), and charged pro-rated prices for the repair.

I couldn't be happier with the service and quality that I have received in these three instances.

I don't normally write reviews unless I get horrible or extraordinary service/product, and this place definitely called for a review! The lady working there was so grumpy and made feel like she was doing ME a favour, when I tried explaining to her what I wanted she quickly yelled at me telling me that wasn't possible (I needed my jeans adjusted from the waist). This company's customer service and treatment is so poor, completely invalidating their work. If you're looking to get mistreated and yelled at, this is the place to go!

Brought 3 pairs of pants in to get adjusted and they were done the next day. Quality and service was top notch and the ladies working were very kind, honest and knowledgeable. Dont get their honesty twisted with rudeness. They are anything but that.

DO NOT COME HERE WITH ANY OF YOUR CLOTHES. THEY WILL RUIN THEM AND WILL DO NOTHING TO SOLVE PROBLEMS THEY HAVE CREATED. Horrible customer service from a RUDE owner who has not the slightest clue of what she is doing. She ruined my jacket and said that the jacket "came like that". I would give this place a 0/5 if it was possible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND FIND SOMEONE WHO WONT RUIN YOUR CLOTHES.

I have been coming to this Stitch it for many years.
I can count on them. They do prompt reliable service. Corina is fabulous, she remade outfits for me, and gives excellent feedback about how to alter the clothing so it will be flattering and you will happy. I would highly recommend.
The alterations are done well.
Very friendly service. Job well done!

Had to cut a hole in my car cover for the antenna, over time it started to expand. Took it to a few place to have the hole fixed and reinforced to prevent further tearing, and they wanted outrageous amounts of cash.
Stitch it did it for $40, and I had it back in 2-days. Super happy

Recently, I needed very challenging and time consuming alterations to be done to my suit (vest and jacket). I was so fortunate that I went to Stitch It and met Corina. She figured out very quickly what was wrong and, as she promised, made both pieces perfect in just two days. Corina, you are an amazing person with a great sense of humour, invaluable knowledge and experience, and a tremendous amount of love for the work you are doing. Thank you for everything and I am happy to know that this level of customer service still exists in this day and age!
Take care,
Gavrilo

I am a regular customer at Stitch it (Midtown Plaza) and I am satisfied with every alterations done to my clothes. The staff and management are friendly, they respect what you want done to your clothes, and they are very professional. If there are any reasons that you are not satisfied with the alterations, the staff are willing and happy to do it again.

My friend got pants altered from this lady and she did a really bad job. So I went with my friend to talk to the lady. We approached her in a normal manner without putting the blame on anyone. We explained that the result wasn t what we expected and we honestly didn t see the difference in the pants from the original. The lady then became extremely defensive. She raised her voice and shouted Are you accusing me of not doing the job? in a truly nasty and uncivilized manner. We were not there to fight. We were there just to get the pants fixed. My friend is usually quiet, so when the Lady began to yell, she didn t say anything. I spoke in a level voice, explaining to her that no one is accusing her of not doing the job. It just seems as the work had not been done to what we were expecting. The lady then replied saying that she altered the pants to how she pinned them in the initial meeting (they were not altered that way). Then she showed a lot of attitude and told my friend to try on the pants again so she what she wanted. The lady walked to the back, and continued doing her work. I called the lady back to see the pants. Up to this point I was being very polite and nice but she was showing my friend and I a lot of attitude and saying she had done the job and that we were trying to scam her to alter the pants in a different manner for no money. I couldn t take the tremendously poor customer service she was providing so I asked her if this is the way that she treats all her customers and she replied with a Hmm and began to yell and scream, not allowing any of us to speak, accusing us of saying that she didn t do the job (which we did not once say) and putting words into our mouths. I got very upset at this point. Here we were being gracious to this store owner who did not do her job correctly and were politely and kindly asking her to fix the issue but instead, she was shouting and handling the situation very poorly. She did not do the job she was paid for. I honestly have never seen someone as unprofessional, abrupt and rude as her. I wouldn t even recommend her to my worst enemy. Save your dollars and go to a place that would respect and appreciate your service instead. Worst customer service I have ever seen.

The alterations person working on Saturday Oct 17 was really rude both on phone and person. She screamed at me for a bizzare clothing filing issue, where it was the problem on their end with wrong filing of name information. I had recommended this place to others for service in past but never again. Better to get decent service with kinder people at other places in saskatoon.

I just picked up my Jacket where i had its zipper changed. The staff were extremely professional and pleasant. I was worried as my jacket was Rudsak - an expensive brand. The store had it nicely repaired and managed to get it back same day. Great value for money. I highly recommend this place.

Owner is extremely rude. Talks as if everyone should understand everything about sewing. Sorry lady I'm not a seamstress and was willing to pay you for a job if you weren't such a horrible, awful prude. Do not go here.

I bought a shirt end of summer last year and ripped it along the seamline before I even having chance to wear it. I found it while spring cleaning and decided to take it in to see what they could do. The material was quite delicate and I wasn't even sure if it possible to fix!
The lady whom helped me was very pleasant and told me to come back the next day in the evening for pickup. I was surprised she was willing to do it so fast!
When I came in to pick it up I was amazed! You could not even tell where she had sewn it. I was very impressed!
I have taken jeans as well as an elegant dress for a wedding before and they always do impressive work! Items look like new and are flawless! I would highly recommend them if you want quality work.

Brought a jacket to have the zipper replaced and a snap-button added. The zipper was put in backwards (left-handed) and didn't reach to the bottom of the jacket, and the snap was bent (which they did replace).

The ladies working here are awesome !! I brought something in to get altered. They looked at it, pinned it, and had it altered perfectly within just a couple of hours. Additionally, when I brought my friend in a few days later for a last minute alteration, they were just as great !! We both got our items altered for an amazing price, and had them back the same day we brought them in. I highly recommend this location!

Had a jacket modified to fit better but there were alterations made that completely change the style of the jacket and then when I tried to explain that they had made an unwanted change they tried to convince me that the changes they made were the original style of the jacket (despite the different colour of threading used). Totally unprofessional.

Corinna at Stitch It is not only excellent at what she does, but she s also incredibly lovely. I was in there yesterday and she helped me quickly, efficiently and I really enjoyed our conversation. My new favourite seamstress. I will always return here, thanks so much! PS- check out the pic of Miranda Lambert on the wall

Needed a new slider on the zipper on my Heavy winter coat ... the slider breaks off from becoming jammed up when zipping/unzipping due to the zipper being sown in poorly from factory new !!
I had a new slider put on last year by a different business in Saskatoon, I inquired at that time about the cost to fix the problem/jamming areas of the zipper but it would have cost more than this used coat was worth ($85 to repair the zipper proper) so I just stuck with getting a new slider at a cost of $25. The new slider lasted 1 winter season and then due to jamming, it broke like the previous original one did.
Still, this is my Go to coat for serious outdoor hours long (sometimes day after day) snow clearing/clean up work, so I wanted to have it usable for this season. Not only did Stitch It install a new slider, but they fixed the problematic jamming areas of the zipper - all for $25. Corina was very pleasant, helpful, and professional to deal with, The zipper works great and I am very impressed !!!!! Awesome dedication during these COVID times !!!! Thank you Stitch It :)

You could literally go through a woodchipper wearing your favourite pair of jeans and Corina could restore them to be sold again at the retailer you bought them from.

All-in-all, she patched 2 pairs of jeans and fixed a leg zipper on another for me. The patches blend in SO well with the original denim I genuinely didn't expect it to be done this well and honestly I didn't think the one pair was even do-able.

I doubt there is anyone more passionate about this particular service; the enthusiasm and confidence she had towards fixing my problems on our first encounter immediately had me convinced I came to the right place.

Thank you!

I was looking on the internet for places to do some repairs on some of my torn clothes and I found this place called Stitch It at Midtown Mall. The lady was very nice and did an excellent job that didn t take long at all! 100% will come back:)

The seamstress here saved me from having to buy a new dress at the last minute. I came in with a dress that had been poorly altered elsewhere, I wasn't even sure if it was salvageable, and I needed it by the next morning. I expected it was too late and the dress already ruined but the seamstress was able to fix it the same day and it fit perfectly. They have longer hours than most similar businesses as well which makes it much more convenient. I highly recommend them for alterations!

I bought a dress after trying on what seemed like a hundred dresses and took this dress to be altered at Stitch It because we were in Midtown Plaza and it was handy. The owner (I assume) was extremely rude and abrupt. Payment had to be up front which I thought was odd. The work was okay but I will NEVER go back there to be insulted again.

Absolutely pathetic customer service!. I have been there twice ( before Covid-19 and after Covid-19) and both times had the same result. It has terrible customer service, especially if you are male. Avoid this place like the plague.
