I am just about finished covering my Rans S20 with the Stewart Systems products. I cannot say enough about the training, the products or the support. My first exposure to the product was at Airventure when I attended a 2 (partial day) workshop..free, hands on and very informative. I subsequently took a 3 day course with more depth and included painting. Having taken the course I got a discount on materials purchase which essentially made the course free. Everyone s fabric is similar, the real magic with Stewart Systems is the water based glue, fillers and paint. No odour, and easy cleanup. The glue is also heat activated even after drying so making adjustments, fix ups or removal is easy. I have had several occasions to call Stewart s tech line for tips and to confirm my understanding of the procedures manual. Phone always answered and helpful advice given. If every vendor whose products are included in my kit provided the kind of support that Stewart Systems does I d be done by now! Andy and Marty (a west coast distributor) have been a delight to deal with.

This would be a one-star post, if it not for my previous positive experiences with Stewart System's Ekopoxy. Make no mistake, I have been happy with the quality of their Ekopoxy in the past, after having purchased six or so quarts of it over the past several years. However, I recently purchased another quart of their ZC green directly from their online store, but it arrived in a condition I can only describe as overly thickened. I attempted to stir it loose and even sprayed several parts with it, but it was too congealed, resulting in serious orange peel texturing, and it quickly clogged up my spray gun. Okay, no problem, bad batches and expired paints happen, I understand. So, I tried to go through their return process to receive a new quart, only to be repetitively insulted by their customer service folks asking if I had stirred it enough. YES...I stirred the paint enough!!! I even shipped them the paint at my own expense, only for them to neglect responding to me for several weeks. Finally, after e-mailing them for a status update I received an insincere, single line e-mail claiming...you guessed it....it wasn't stirred enough, also asking me if I wanted the paint back. No...no I did not. Very unfortunate because I liked their paint, but I'm out $110 and they've lost me as a customer.

Over the last 7 years I have used many of the major fabric covering systems to include Polyfiber, Ceconite (Randolph), Superflite System 7, and Stewart Systems to recover several planes, a set of DC-3 flight controls, and numerous wings and tailfeathers. Stewart Systems has become my favorite covering system due to ease of use, ease of cleanup, and the lack of fumes caused by solvents used in the other systems. Andy and his crew has provided wonderful customer service as they have made several custom colors for my customers, answered technical questions effectively, and handled material orders and other requests in a timely manner. Great Product. Great Company. Great People.
