Technically this wasn't at sterling subaru, but rather it was at sterling auto group parts desk.

I came in to get some subaru super coolant because I knew I was a little low, and would be driving to west virginia soon. I got a jug of distilled water for it, but kept forgetting to mix and add it before I left. The heat wasn't feeling as hot as it should have, so I stopped for the night, earlier than planned, to make sure I didn't let the temp spike at all.

I got lucky when I found this vehicle for the price I did, and have done nothing but baby it. Premium oils, filters, cleaned regularly, all maintenance logged in the infotainment system to make sure things are done when they should be. Oil change, new air and oil filter, and new tires within the first week. A new set of wiper blades within the first month. I'm less than 8 weeks into owning the nicest and newest vehicle I've ever had. So when I started diluting the coolant, and saw that it was the old green instead of the new blue that I had specifically asked for, both by its name "super coolant" and by mentioning that it was blue as well as asking if it was the blue kind before I paid, I was a bit irritated that I was in a position that my only choice was to mix the green into the blue since I was no where near near a subaru dealership.

I haven't made it back from my trip yet, but I will be calling soon to tell them what happened. In order to get my coolant back to normal I'm going to have to flush the system. I had asked how much that would cost while I was there since I didn't know what the previous owner might have done with the coolant, and it was in the 190 area.

I'm not paying 200 to remedy being sold the wrong product after clearly asking for something else, and having to use wrong product when it was the only option. Still probably over 100 just for the coolant at their store since the blue only come premixed, and my system holds 8.2 quarts. Even buying online it's around 20/gallon, and that may or may not include shipping. So at best, if they wont flush and fill my system to fix their mistake, I'm still looking at over 60 + the original 30 to purchase the green they sold me + time and effort, all to achieve the original goal of topping off the coolant with oem blue.
