I have two heating model PCH, they were included in a reminder by the company stelrpo who sent us a safety device for each unit of heating and now a few years later they send me a letter that tells me to throw them and they give me a $ 20 discount on every heater that is worth a lot more.
What a lack of responsibility of this company ... Think before you buy one of their product, if there is a defect, their solution is to scrap it and buy them another ...

Excellent service. I had a faulty unit that had no parts to fix it. Even with an 11 year old convector, I was offered an alternative that suited us well. Not all companies make an effort to provide after sales service. But Stelpro is part of a class apart and an example to follow. I will not hesitate at all to recommend their products.

Worst thermostat ever! A real pain in the a** to program. Buttons are very sensitive. On few of them, when I switch to manual and try to change the temperature, then it is like all the buttons are being pressed! I do not recommend!

It's only been 7 years since my house was built and I have 3 Stelpro thermostats that have jumped ... not super quality I will tell you! And the first 2 times, my thermostat was under warranty and I had to persist with customer service to have it sent again and pay myself the costs of the electrician. And now the third jumps and they don't want to do anything for me. I understand that the warranty has expired, but when your customer has had difficulty with your product from the start, you can make an effort to satisfy them.

If you are looking for a good thermostat, I can only advise you to carefully avoid those produced by Stelpro (and sold through the Hilo aggregator). I installed 7 smart thermostats, i.e. a Maestro to control the other 6, and it was only one endless series of disappointments: application very long to configure, temperature reading deviations of more than 6 degrees (it was 18 degrees in the rooms when the thermostats indicated 24 degrees), and the grand finale: in the fall of their 2nd year of use, 3 of the thermostats simply stopped working.
I also installed Radiance crown heaters. These products work quite well, provide pleasant warmth. However, these radiators are very noisy and emit loud metallic pops.

Regularly, the probe begins to measure a falling temperature ... falling ... constantly ...
It is necessary to recalibrate supposedly, I do not see the relation with the measurement probe.
We recalibrate however.
The next day the probe measures a temperature which drops endlessly again
The radiators are running full blast! It's been 4 times in 3 weeks. This summer we will have to cut the power I imagine?
And when we reset, the measurement becomes normal again, we go from 2 to 24 !!! Thermal shock !!!
Never seen this, reset needed almost every day.
Replacement by MYSA thermostats that I recommend. It works much better!

Got broken an electronic thermostat in my Silhouette model. First I was told by the phone that it could be easily fixed at their facilities in St-Bruno. Once got there the customer service manager told me that this model is discontinued and they had no spare parts to fix it; so I could simply throw to the garbage.

As per my question why a competitor 80$ convector from Costco is worse than their 400$ Silhouette, I was answered that Stelpro is made in Quebec and I could always count on good customer service! Funny, eh?

Once got back home I placed an order for this electronic thermostat at Inventex for 100$. So the spare part can be found but not at Stelpro service dept.

BTW, occasionally I got another thermostat broken - this is a convector by Dimplex. Almost absolutely same thing but with a huge difference in support! It took 20 minutes only to contact with their customer service via online chat to settle my issue. They delivered me a new thermostat for free; nevertheless the expired warranty. Way to go!

So, if you are hesitating which manufacturer to chose, just reread my review.

I installed 2 convectors from the SIL series in October 2015. They work well but the front grilles have turned yellow. I was told that this model has been discontinued for several years and that they do not have a replacement grid. That's all ... No option offered for convectors that are 4 and a half years old. I am very disappointed. We will therefore look elsewhere for the replacement of these two and the change of the other electric quails for the rest of the renovations. Encourage the local purchase they tell us! In your reply e-mail you said that I was sorry, and it is up to me to be sorry.

My convector broke down after about 20 months (it can happen). As this model is discontinued, I was replaced by a new model without having to fight as with other companies.

Very impressed with these guys. Had a bathroom exhaust fan that died on me after 5 years or so and after getting in touch with them i drove down to their main office and since my fan was discontinued they replaced it free of charge for a new model.
