Excellent location.. Good foods.. Very Good rooms.. I think it's the best hotel to check-in in hurghda

In advance, unfortunately, I can only forgive 5 , although I would forgive much more.
Everything top whether food, pool, sea, staff, offers, rooms and much more.

The Steigenberger Al Dau Beach Hotel is a luxury resort, located at the Red Sea.

The outside of the hotel conveys lavishness and elegance. The large garden area is well and diversely designed and very well maintained. The same can be said for the golf course. A 2.5 km long jogging path cuts across the hotel area. Bicycles can be loaned free of charge.

Two weeks holiday to spoil. 26.11.-08.11.17. Great hotel, great service, great food with 6 stars. We have been to many countries and hotel's. Certainly one of the best hotels we stayed in.

It is a great hotel and great service, especially Mido at the beach bar.

I am an Egypt fan for years.
Steigenberger hotels I never had a problem. No matter if Nile cruise or an extra flight to Cairo there is always something extras.
The people are nice and friendly and I feel safe. Only 5 days back in the country.
Anything can happen anywhere, even the Christmas market in Berlin is a problem.
I will definitely visit the country again this year.

Simply good, nice pools, fun slides, white water rink, A la carte restaurants all recommended especially on the roof, etc etc

All in all I confirm the reviews that are published on the quality and service of the hotel. Really excellent! Too bad, at the time of departure by paying our services at the reception (massage ...), we were added benefits that we had not taken. After checking, the hotel staff found that a customer ordered services indicating our room number but that the signature on the vouchers did not match. We did not have to pay for these benefits, except that it left us with a strange impression. Anyone can order services by indicating your room number.

Wonderful beach. The coral alone has been destroyed over the years. So there is no snorkeling from the beach.

Hotel great, service and facilities excellent, beach good, But for swimming at sea the conditions are poor, so tourists use the pools more.
I know very well what the tide is. But even when the tide is the depth of the sea at buoys (enclosure) is not more than 50cm, which is not enough for any swim. When the low tide is even more catastrophic !! For everything else, all the compliments.

This 1 week vacation in March was pure relaxation for us.

As soon as we entered the entrance hall, we were thrilled. Everything was very nice, clean, bright, noble and generously built. The reception was friendly and helpful.

-You often had to tell the nice ladies and gentlemen that you do NOT want to take part in their games and that you do not want any excursions and no spa treatment -> every day

On the Al Dau Promenade (right in front of the door) we bought shoes on the left and super fine fragrances in the oil shop for little money. We also had very nice conversations with the locals here.
On the right side we were almost pulled into the shop by every seller. Here we walked to the end and went into a shop where the seller didn't ambush us. Here we bought watches, got a drink and batteries for everyone, and he also gave us the tip to walk back across the street. Very nice guy. Last shop on the corner.

Excursions were cheaper from the hotel than from TUI. We didn't go on a trip ourselves, but heard that the trip to Luxor didn't take 3 hours, as stated by the TUI guy, but almost 5 hours.

Even though the airport is so close we couldn't hear a plane and saw about 3.
We are 10 minutes from the airport. drove to the hotel. We felt absolutely safe at all times.

Overall, we had a great week here. We could have used the partner hotel Aqua Magic, but there were too many children and too high a noise level.

We were disappointed with the food, as it did not meet our expectations in any way and thus clouded the price-performance ratio a bit.
If we hadn't had a la carte restaurants with us, this holiday would definitely have been too expensive for us.

We were a family in August.
The hotel is lovely. The rooms are great. Service at the highest level. Smoking, of course, is possible everywhere on the territory of the hotel, which is often annoying, but this is the way they are done throughout Egypt.
The bed linen is of good quality, clean, but old and heavily worn, the pellets are very felt, and therefore it is not comfortable to sleep. But the pillows are excellent.
Towels are changed regularly, but they can be stained.
The territory is chic, well-groomed, green.
The pools are clean (of course, the wind carries all the foliage, but it is constantly cleaned), beautiful, comfortable. I liked the "lazy river".
From 09.00 to 17.00 you can take a free bike, the length of the tracks allows you to ride in plenty, but it's hot in summer.
There is a billiards table, and during the day you can play petanque.
There is a children's club during the day, a comfortable area of the children's "Cinema" in the open air under a tent in the evening.
The food is very good, the service in the restaurants and bars is top notch. According to the all-inclusive system, you can eat and drink around the clock. Ice cream.
The only one with a variety of strained fruits (oranges, apples, melons, bananas).
The animation is rotten during the day. Pilates and the like are done around the pool. There is no animation on the beach, and indeed there is no movement at all. There is not even music. In general - TUKHLYAK.
In the evening, the show at the restaurant is decent, but sometimes not very long.
Service on the beach, as well as throughout the entire territory, is EXCELLENT.
The hotel was very unlucky with its location on the coastline - waist-deep, sand, but the first three meters entry into the sea is very bad with stones. Behind the bathing area, fenced with buoys, there are reefs, but by no means coral.
Due to the location of the hotel near the city center and the presence of a large number of yachts, the water is dirty per unit area in this area. Visibility in water maximum 2 meters. At the bottom there are often bags and other debris.
Corals and beautiful fish are out of the question.
If you are a fan of snorkeling, you will be extremely disappointed, there is nothing to look at here except the garbage at the bottom. In some places the bottom is covered with low algae, covered, in turn, with a thick layer of mud.
You can use the water park on the territory of a neighboring hotel of this chain every day.
The water park is not big at all, but decent. It has two zones - for children and adults. Both loved it.
There are not many slides in an adult, but they are exciting, you can get adrenaline with interest.
The staff is so polite and helpful that in Egypt it is even shocking somehow pleasant. There is no question of any harassment. They even refuse to tip.
In general, if you like excellent service and calm, measured rest, then this is the place for you.

The food disaster, the manmagement posts garbage.
Actually, those responsible should have made us a different offer than just nice words.
The hygiene was more than questionable. The hotel also killed two elderly people who were diagnosed with it.

Excellent hotel and excellent service. I wish to stay again

The hotel is very nice and has its own exclusive beach. Relatively speaking, there are more tourists from some countries near Europe and Egypt. Various entertainment activities are abundant. All the food and drink in the hotel (except for some high-quality alcohol) are included in the price. The children are especially happy, but the food in the restaurant has not changed during the few days we stayed, and it will be greasy to eat a few more meals, the taste of the food is more Egyptian, and there are many types of bread. In fact, many foods do not suit Asian tastes. In addition, the water here is relatively cold in January, and most people are afraid to go into the water. It should be more fun if it is a hot season. There are many water entertainment projects in the hotel itself. In addition, you can sign up for submarine sightseeing projects in this hotel, and there will be cars sent to the dock. It seems that there are only 2 places in the world that have similar projects.

Great vacation with toddler .. Very positively surprised. At first we were skeptical about Egypt. But we decided because of the good offer and the weather. And we were not disappointed.
We were there with our son for 14 months. He had a lot of fun. We were really surprised how friendly and warm the people were. Incredibly fond of children. Also the Egyptian tourists who were here on Wednesday January were very, very nice and welcoming. So we were really happy that this is not just a hotel where only Germans are. The mix is right for us here.

The food was good. There was plenty, and because the hotel has 5 restaurants, you can vary.

So the Alexander`s is absolutely great. And as a couple, you should definitely book the breakfast there for a fee. About 11 euros p.p. and worth every penny. But go there around 8 o'clock because of the sun. Is right on the beach and just great. You will not regret it

The facility is one of the best I have ever seen. Extensive, very green. That is already worth the 5 star. Perfect for kids

As a childless person, you don't have to think that this is nothing. There is so much space here that the children don't bother at all. And the dining room is also divided. So there really is something for everyone

I have stayed in many hotels and the Robinson, but this was the most pleasant of the package.

Unfortunately, only the spa area was negative. Unfortunately, the offers are not worth the money at all. We had a complete program of Eoin and we were disappointed. I did tell the manager though. We then received a voucher and he promised to get well soon. So we hope this will be better next year when we come back.

So in conclusion: it doesn't matter with or without children. It hardly gets any better. And to parents with small children. No concerns. Everything is great here. :-)

Update 1 year later. Still just as satisfied. A lot has been renovated and built. Many rooms also new. So really great. The children's area has also been expanded. And new gym.
Great. Also new people in the spa area. This time very well. Even if not cheap. But it fits

Unfortunately, there is no longer breakfast in the alexandre. What a shame. Maybe it will be on offer again next year.

The beach is really nice with lots of entertainment and recreation activities as well as free snacks and drinks for all inclusive guests
Entertainment include canoying, diving, swimming, boats, jet ski, etc
While food include grilled steak, soft drinks, hot drinks, kofta, etc.

The best hotel in the city in quality and service and they have the best sushi, noodles and Teppanyaki

Except for the signs of wear in the building and pool I have nothing to complain about. Great holiday by the hotel and its staff. We will be back and look forward to it. Thank you

The staff are very professional especially Mahmoud at reception and Mohamed Abd rabo from room service also guest relations nada el halawany but the food menu is very poor but taste good

Experience report from November 17th, 2017
Vacation from 08.-18.11.17

I will briefly summarize what you can expect here and what you should know in advance.

Before that we were already in two other hotels in Hurghada and Markadi bay (Jaz Aquamarine and Cleopatra) and can therefore compare quite well.

What was particularly positive:
Large hotel complex with very well-kept green areas. Everything very structured and above all calm. (Large area = runs well), golf course
Rooms are very large and well equipped! Clean and orderly. Should there be anything to be repaired, then please tell the front desk.
Subject room choice: The building is arranged in an arch, which means that about 80% of the rooms have a sea view. Now there are rooms that are in the shade in the morning and in the evening. Do you have to decide on site whether it is important or unimportant to you. The building's air conditioning is on the roof of the building (at least I think), which leads to whirring noises that can be heard well at night (if necessary, pack earplugs).



On the subject of pool / beach / snorkeling:
Very large pool area, sauna, whirlpool, heated pool, lazy river (flow channel), rock grotto. Private beach (there is always water in the sea !!!) Loungers are not close together, employees bring drinks to the loungers. Tea of the day, damp cloths and glasses cleaning are offered, and there are even raised loungers for the elderly. Beach restaurant nearby. Own marina for day trips. However, only partially suitable for snorkeling. There is no dedicated reef. Pack those who have bathing shoes. (There is a marked area where you can swim without problems, but you should still play it safe.
Pedal boats and kayaks are included in the All In!
Windsurfing and other sports are also available.

Tourists and sellers of tours / animation team:

Overall very pleasant. If you say no then people leave again.

About tours:
Sooner or later you stumble upon the Delfin House Tour.
A super nice tour BUT: you have to be aware that there are around 20-30 people on a tour boat and then, to put it nicely, the hunt for dolphins begins.
So a very clear tip: book a private tour (half a day is enough) with a speedboat. Everything is much more relaxed! You then drive to the Dolphin House and then you go snorkeling. Quite relaxed without sharing a boat with 30 people. Of course it costs a few thalers more, but they are well invested. We booked through the tour operator.

Otherwise the usual offer: quad, diving, etc. Everyone has to decide for themselves.

Evening program: there wasn't too much entertainment, rather more singing, dancing. The stage is a bit unhappy in my opinion. Disco in the neighboring hotel

The Steigenberger Aqua Magic Hotel is just opposite the hotel. Can be used from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There are nice slides there.

On the subject of service:
Very well. There wasn't a single employee who was rude. The best example: the soups in the Suhsi Restaurant were too cold. We raised it and apologized several times. The only thing missing was someone to clean your feet . So really very courteous people.

What wasn't so good, what do you need to know:
- Smoking in the lobby
- Mosquito repellent is important

Conclusion:
Great hotel, great vacation. The hotel costs a few thalers more than others, but it's worth the money.

Rooms are big, clean and well maintained, food and beverage are amazing there is an open buffet international cusine but if you want to try the other 5 restaurents you have to reserve first.

There is live music during dinner it is great and it adds a cozy atmosphere.

The hotel ia very close to the airport there is alot of activities to do from diving center to very large swimming pool 5000 m3 also the beach is very clean.

The location, the service is excellent and the reception staff is very polite and upscale

Excellent staff and very responsive to guests needs and complaints. Good food and well set for wheelchairs and baby carts.
