Wonderful hotel with great pool area and good service!

The first stay in Egypt and a very nice and relaxing vacation.
We booked the hotel through the recommendation of a friend living in Hurghada. Everything went without complications from the arrival to the return transfer to the airport. You feel comfortable and welcome as a guest at the Steigenberger Al Dau Beach Hotel. The staff is professional in dealing with guests. Whether at the reception, in the restaurant at the bar or the cleaning staff. There was nothing to criticize. In the restaurant, the service staff was always there to take care of the guests. Shortly after taking a seat at the table, you were asked for your drink request, which was promptly implemented. The food was also great and of very good quality. Here every palate is pampered thanks to the huge international range of dishes.
Personally, I like the Arabic cuisine and would have liked a little more choice. However, there was also an oriental evening, where the main but not exclusively Arabic dishes were served. There are also five different themed restaurants to choose from: Tanga Beach Restaurant with Arabic cuisine, Alexander with fusion cuisine, and three Asian restaurants with a focus on sushi, noodle dishes and teppanyaki. The Asian restaurants are across the street, in the Steigenberger Aqua Magic.
The area is huge, so that you can plan in 30 minutes for a relaxed walk over the complex. The pool is huge and there are enough loungers, so that we had our privacy here, as all loungers were never occupied. The range of leisure activities is also very large: there is a fitness room, bicycles for trips around the facility and a lazy river in which you can float on large rubber tires. On the beach there is a beach volleyball court, a beach soccer field, two boccia lanes, a children's playground, a table football and a pool table. There is also a children's club where parents and their toddlers can hang out at a children's pool. There are also loungers there.
We were regularly supplied with drinks by the service staff at the pool. Ice cream and snacks are available at the pool bar or at the booth restaurant, where there was a buffet every day at lunchtime.
Our hotel room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. From the balcony we had a beautiful view of the area and the sea.
The hotel itself is at a tourist hotspot, i.e. there are enough shopping opportunities as soon as you leave the hotel on the street. If you prefer something a bit more authentic, you should take a taxi to the city center or take the hotel's own bus shuttle that goes to the city center every day. We felt very safe and welcome in the city.
According to our perception, there were mostly German guests in the hotel at our time.
Overall, the vacation was very relaxing. We are perfectly happy with the hotel and have received more than we expected.
We will book this hotel again if we should decide to vacation in Hurghada.

Steigenberger is really an amazing hotel, great and kind staff. Very clean. Nice variety of food. Just one thing that bothered us is their lunch box for to go. It's pretty much just dry bread with one slice of mozarella or beef, not really a lunch box but a survival box so you don't die (but anyways i don't think it's better anywhere in Hurghada). Also, if you go shopping, try not to tell anyone from which hotel you are from, they will rip you off. Everything inside the hotel is perfect and worth the money.

super spacious and well-kept hotel area. The food was excellent. Although the hotel has approximately 1000 rooms, nothing is in the way of a relaxing beach holiday. The room service (so far, name the cleaning agent) really leaves nothing to be desired. The imagination of the cleaning staff knows no bounds.
Only small splash of color; during the mealtimes seeeeehr loud in the rooms.

Is here to dive with Minions and the place is total top. A great experience for anyone who loves to dive. Completely professional experience in the stunning Red Sea.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, nice food, nice pools, the beach is just OK because there are some rocks and plants on the sand. The resort is overall beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. There is a pool for kids and play area. Oriental and sushi restraints besides the main open buffet.

The best place ever to have a relaxing vacation in Hurghada. The only negative point is weak animation activity (only half an hour show at evening). But everything else is great (food, service, location, amenities .... etc). You should try it guys.

The staff is the best. We were in honey moon and they didn't know - gave us twin beds and not the best view. After I told them that I want this holiday to be perfect, they found THE BEST room with no additional charge for me and my wife and also made us a very good cake.
The rooms are big, cleaned every day - the view was exceptional. The food in the restaurant was very good - we had also dinners at: Alex (very good); Samurai (very good), Sushi (not a fan, but my friends loved it).
Also we spent a long night drinking with new friends in the lobby (at Caribu I think) - I don't know the man's name, but he was very careful with us.
The main man in the lobby for us was Hamam Noon - every night before going out he gave us drinks, chips and begels - he also remembered all our names and always talked with us.
I'd definitely recommend them.

My best vacation in recent years. I recommend to everyone who really wants to relax. Perfect service, excellent management, professional staff. Food was absolutely excellent. the beach was clean with fine sand. We arrived home from our holiday on 30.08.2017 but I decided to go there again from 20.9.2017 ;) So see you soon, Steigenberger!

Veey nuce place, the best hotel i have ever visited. Plenty of foods and drinks all the time. Many pools, nice beach, friendly stuff.

It's a place you got to visit unbelievable the staff so nice make you feel at home this is my second time to visit my first time was 4 years ago my nice experience made me came back staff, food and facilities everything fantastic. It was amazing and the room was great, the food was tasty

Great place , but something is not okay with some kind of foods there , for example calamari , I found them ussing the frozen chainees calamari which was the worest and cuased me troubles in stomach , service is now so so comparing to last year.

Firstly all staff offer exceptional service - I haven t met one single member of staff who is anything but helpful.Excellent service, super nice rooms, clean everywhere, extremely service minded and always smiling personnel. Fantastic restaurants with a wide variety of different food and specialities.

Overall, a good, relaxing holiday. Nice hotel with extensive area.
