Fantastic music venue and cafe setting with some of the most compassionate, caring, and driven owners ive ever met. Top quality food, fantastic teas and coffees, and friendly staff. If anywhere deserves a visit in Phoenixville, Steel City deserves it three times as much.

Great, fresh latte! The place was pretty busy (Sunday morning) and the service was unaffected. The food (NY Style Fried Egg Sandwich w/bacon on Rosemary olive bread) was amazing! Not too loud to have a conversation and lots of different sized, self-serve tables. A must stop & visit.

After first having a not-so-stellar customer service experience here and leaving a three star review, I was contacted by co-owner Laura. Laura wanted to hear more about the service and informed me of changes they were making to both the staffing and the menu. I went back in a few days ago and was so impressed with how much more helpful the baristas were. They also made practical changes like taking names for orders to avoid confusion. I tried their breakfast sandwich and an iced vanilla chai...so delicious! I could drink one of those chais every day!

Steel City's food and drinks are great, their staff is friendly, and the owners truly care about serving our community well. If you've been like me and haven't been to Steel City recently, I highly recommend going back to have a lovely experience.

I often go on the weekend, enjoy a latte and a breakfast egg & cheese biscuit while I do a little work. The food is fresh, the staff is friendly, the coffee is great. I can't say much about the live entertainment, because I'm usually there way too early.

I've only been here twice and each time I leave totally stuffed from the amazing breakfast foods. I'm not much of a breakfast person, but their food is worth it. The staff are super friendly and the place is really relaxed.

Saturday morning stop in after an early motorcycle ride.....so glad it was open, some places closed in town for breakfast. I ordered the homemade biscuit with egg. It was so good. My son had the same. They serve homebrew in the AM, a definite bonus! I got a unique lemonade cold brew...interesting coffee/lemonade mix...loved it. Homemade scone - blueberry lemon...really good! The service is on point and friendly as could be. Chill atmosphere on the main st.....lotsa people watching. I will definitely come back for more eats, and most likely music.

I cannot say enough great things about this place. My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner here and it was absolutely perfect. Laura was so responsive since we first inquired. The food was delicious- we had eggplant parm and lemon caper chicken and all our guests were raving. It was the perfect venue for toasts and fun! The whole team was so kind and considerate and I encourage everyone to consider having an event here!

Great place to grab a coffee and chill. Coffee is solid and inexpensive with options for the coffee aficionado. Decent meals that range from carnivorous to vegan. I really enjoy the Poached Egg Bowl when I hang out and get some work done.

Cultural beacon of the Burrough. Cold and inhospitable to the casual visitor.

I didn't tip the barista and she announced this to her co-worker and then proceeded to over steam the milk. The cappuccino was thrown away twenty minutes after waiting to cool. Perhaps next time I'd be advised to tip.

Stopped in for the first time for breakfast. Delicious food, quick service. Saturday morning had a pretty big crowd but the wait wasnt long and there's some outside seating. There are vegan options on the menu and vegan desserts.

Ed & Laura, the new owners, have rejuvenated Steel City Coffee House. The vibe is wonderful, as are the locally sourced, delicious food and Hobo Ed's coffee. Steel City is a community treasure.

Awesome experience at open mic. I was terrified, the audience was supportive, and I got through the song without blacking out and/or vomiting. A great bunch of folks, and I hope to stop by again very soon. (And please multiply my 5 star review by 2. Highly recommended.)

As a musician AND music lover, I can say that this is probably the best place in Chester County to hear (and play) original music. It has a very comfortable vibe, and the intimate setting keeps everyone close to the stage. Very few venue owners have guts and commitment to the music to ask their patrons (nicely) to be quiet and listen to the performers, but these guys do. They have also worked hard to foster a community of local musicians, and do a lot to help beginning and upcoming ones have a place to be heard and get better. Steel City is great! (The food, coffees and desserts are great, too.)
