My loan officer name is Dustin Smith and he is always available and always go above and beyond. He is just super cool to work with and he is also very knowledgeable. My question are always answer in a timely manner. This is my 3rd loan that Dustin Smith helped me with. After being offered a hidden "great deal" from a west coast broker, I called States Mortgage for a second opinion due to some concerns I had on a pending home refinance. I spoke to Sean Williams who spent time explaining each section of my docs and answering the same questions I had asked the other company, who only blew me off, gave me short answers and even LIED to me! Sean was so kind and helped me understand everything I needed to know about my situation...he did not push me to make a decision to switch to States but simply stated he could definitely do better. I thought about it over the weekend, canceled my pending loan and called Sean at States Mortgage...not only did he offer me a better loan, he prepared the best offer he could do for me! Even the official who I signed my closing docs with said this was one of the lowest loan prices she's seen in awhile...she stated "He really treated you good!" She has no affiliation with States Mortgage and she confirmed how confident I was already feeling about switching my refinance to States Mortgage. Sean was easy to talk to, kept me informed, and truly cared about my personal needs and details of what I was looking for in a loan...he even managed to close my loan within the same parameters as my original refinance. I could not be more satisfied and recommend Sean at States Mortgage without hesitation! Thank you for a job well done!

WOW! If you call these people don't tell them "no thanks"...they'll be happy to tell you what a loser you are. I was told that because I make $130K that's NOTHING I should be happy they'd be willing to work with me...wow!
We refinanced with States Mortgage in January and had a great experience with Sean Williams - helpful, informative, diligent.
Then we were contacted by Sean on 8/28 as promised when we were able to refinance again - especially if the interest rates had dropped. With appreciation for the reach out, I contacted him back on 8/29 with interest of hearing more. Sean responded later that evening saying he was tied up and asked for my availability the following day, which I provided. No phone call, no response. So I reached out on 8/31 to see if he got my email and VM. He responds promptly, and says he will call Tuesday at 10am after Labor Day (9/3)
With the crazy weather etc., I assumed there would be a delay. So I reached out again on 9/9 - actually got a return call and he said he would start the process - asked if okay to run credit - which was never done!! and get back to me the following day with the numbers, next steps, etc - things should be easy as he already had our file from the previous closing.
Nothing! So I follow up again on 9/12.......this time I ask "Just following up from our conversation on Monday the 9th, with the promise of getting details to us by the following morning. We have not heard back from you.
Not sure if you have the availability to spend on us as trying to connect with you since the end of August. Please let me know and we can trying other companies."
NO response! NO call/email/text message.....very disappointing!
Sean Williams was outstanding! He listened to what I wanted and worked with me to reach my objective. I have been through the refinance process several times in the past but never was it as painless as working with Sean. I especially appreciated his patience in answering all my questions. "Great Job!"
I received two (2) flyers in the mail, both were addressed to me. One was accurate and the other was supposed to go to another homeowner south of me in another city. Spoke with Mark Bond and he took some info and said he would get back to me...this was 3 weeks ago. Every time I call now I get transferred to either his voicemail or a message is taken. No response to my messages to this day. States Mortgage is a scam and poor service. DO NOT CALL THEM! After making this post I was contacted (only after this post) by Mark asking to delete because it was affecting him and his family (lies). It's sad a post has to be made to be contacted back these days. This post will stay and not be deleted so others can be warned!

Scam! It's literally just some dude in his living room. I'm an idiot. Got something in the mail promising a better mortgage rate. Called and stupidly gave away my private information. Had to freeze my credit - not fun. Learn from my mistake.
Broker in charge Kevin Daniel Casper- Suggest you research before getting involved as I did not. google the following- cbs.state.or.us/dfcs/securities/enf/orders/M-14-0005. Ones past is a clear indication of what can be expected in ones future. I suggest looking at not only the above case in Oregon but also those in Georgia and Tennessee.

Sent an advertisement in the mail with "COVID 19 Financial Stimulus" stamped on the outside, indicating that it could be an official document. This is not only a poor advertising tactic, it should be illegal. I wouldn't even consider doing business with a company preying on the fact that people are barely scraping by right now. Absolutely sickening.
I had been thinking of refinancing for a while to consolidate some debt, just never go around to it. I got a offer from states mortgage stating the could help with the refinance process . It even had a color picture of my house(caught my attention) . I could tell from there that this would be the company to make it happen. I said let me give this a shot. States Mortgage was the first contact I had via post card in the mail. The card mentioned at 6 months, FHA homeowners reach a period where a streamline refinanced mortgage becomes an opportunity for someone to see if they have in fact found the best rate available to them, almost like protection. I like that. As a first time homeowner I felt like this was mentioned at the original closing among no less than a zillion other details. I feel blessed to have come this far, but honestly I was afraid of looking foolish, so I read tons of their reviews, right here, before I called them. I knew what I read that was negative sounded like folks who weren't willing to see it through, do what it takes to save money. Perhaps they never got past the first contact??
All I can say is BLESS YOU DONALD BROWN & STATES MORTGAGE !! I consulted with my first mortgage broker and she gave me great advice of what makes it worth it to jump through the hoops/ do what it takes to refinance now rather than wait 5yrs and Donald made it happen, period. Faster than I even received the flood of other mortgage companies telling me about this fabulous opportunity called streamline... LOL little will they ever know, unless they read reviews, that my streamline was already completed. DONE.
** States Mortgage saved me about $50 a month and Donald told me upfront I would save a little bit, his calculations were near exact. (If I saved $50 every month after only 6mos, can you imagine how much they could save you, if you've already been paying for several years,,,wow---Def going to work this again in 5-10years)
but the cool part is they got me exactly what I wanted to pay for %interest on the life of the loan!!!!...and I'm telling you it was literally a done deal in a week and finalized in a month!
