We really enjoy volunteering for Sr. Mary's. They provide great services for the less fortunate and during the holiday season - those services are needed most. If you have some free time and you want to give back, visit St. Mary's or any other food bank this holiday season.

This place has saved me from eating out of the dumpster many times... Or from shoplifting something to eat from the QT up the road (during a couple of desperate moments). If you are homeless they will give you a bag FULL of food. You won't need to refrigerate this food nor will you need a stove or an oven to prepare the food. You can go there one time every week. If you have proof of an address then you can go twice a month... Thank you so much St. Mary's!! ..

I'm always very grateful for the food St Mary's provides. It's quite a bit usually. Produce, vegetables, even meat! I received nearly 7lbs of chicken last month. The folx that work and volunteer here are very kind and patient.

I like the new system you have implemented. I only go in when I really need the help and since I am now on disability my Snap has been dropped to $16 a month. So on 9/19 I went in after not going in for a month or 2. And I was given a Donated box and not a Regular box. I didn't want to start any problem so I just left. There wasn't enough stuff to even make a meal.

All of us at MERCY Worldwide - Phoenix love to volunteer at St. Mary's Food Bank. It is expected that we give to our community, but the wonderful thing about St. Mary's is how organized they are, how they entertain you with music and how we make a big difference in so many peoples lives in such a short amount of time! We will be back, hopefully quarterly, if not more often! Thank you for the awesome work you all do St. MARY'S!!

My Family and I went to the St Mary's food box in Yarnell AZ. Let me just tell you I have never been so disrespected in my life. All of them except maybe 2 people were extremely rude. The lady THREW meat at us not once but twice. Gave us dirty looks the whole time. When I went to sign in they said I wasn't there before had to go through all of their paperwork. Refused to give me a number. I have been there about 5 times already. You guys should really look at who you guys allow to volunteer for you! very rude people... I will be contacting corporate and also calling them as well.

I am here twice a month for the Veterans and the staff is not nice. They are rude and throw food into the car creating a mess. Last time I had eight Vets to pick up for and they only gave me five box's that had to be split. Most of the food is old and the vegetables are rotten.

Thank heavens to the St Mary's organization and all the good people who volunteered to make it happen it's an amazing place and they help a lot of people! I attended this location for the opportunity to do something good. I volunteered for several hours and helped box up food for families in need. I love what St. Mary's does and this was the experience of a lifetime. If you or anyone you know is looking to do something good for those in need consider making a donation or volunteering when you can. I can't stress enough how important places like these are in our society.

Rip offs. Liars. Self-agrandizing company. "Look at us... look at how much we do... look at how good we are"... They are Making money off of the poor. They are making their bones on the needy but do t help if you really need help but do t have any paperwork! So if you were homeless. They wouldn't help you. You have to have a home and live somewhere and have a real income. AND WORSE YET... THEY ARE PREJUDICED TO ONLY HELPING FOREIGNERS AND THEY WONT/DONT HELP WHITE PEOPLE DELIBERATELY! What a scam this place is.

It was very smooth, transitionally. From the time I came thru the "In-door" & left thru the "out-door", it was only 4-5 minutes tops! Each person I interacted with was very pleasant. The volunteer ( I assume) was quite friendly, & empathetic to my being on foot and relying on bus travel & limited to only what I could tote in my gym-bag. Once outside, He was willing to stay with me briefly while I decided on what to leave behind in the cart. & re-donate. Having the need to rely on receiving a food-box donation is not easy on my pride when I've worked hard in the past at 2 corp. type jobs - being the guy asked to facilitate donation & charity drives, year-round & dreaming up donation drive competition among departments thru holidays - U-Mom, St. Mary's, Make-A-Wish & Toys for Tots were a few. So with life & financial struggles still lingering since the last economic Spiral, the necessity for me to come to St. Mary's was made much easier on my self esteem thanks to your staff.

Stop spamming me! Think hard before donating cash here because they are spending your money on 'fundraising' with tons of junk mail! I actually regret donating money to this charity. It's been 2 years of non stop Spam and junk mail even though I have requested for them to stop. What a waste of resources! You could be using all that to help feed needy families. My PII personal information is being misused. Very upsetting!

It feels great to give back to the community! I enjoy volunteering at the food bank from time to time. It helps take my mind off my problems and think about others, keeps me grounded. St. Mary's is doing a wonderful thing for the community. I feel blessed to be able to help them do what they do best!

Pleasure to be at the oldest pantry in USA. Great service and commitment feeding families in need. Visited from Boston for our National Convention throughout our LULAC Women's National Commissioners, me representing my role as the LULAC Northeastern Women's Commissioner.

A wonderful program to assist volunteering at St. Mary's Food Bank with good boxes to be delivered for shelter families. An excellent opportunity to serve those in greater need and show your compassion and hard work.

Loved Arizona! Little hot compare to Boston but good AC in the facility & lots of cold water available

It s an amazing and friendly community of people, I really enjoy volunteering here. The volunteer leaders are very nice as well, and while volunteering half way through the session they hand out waters so that s nice as well.

Terrible professional etiquette received from Linda at the front desk. I work for a pediatric office and called St. Mary's to obtain information to include in a handout to provide to families in need at our practice. Linda was extremely condescending in her replies. I asked for clarification on a response she provided, she proceeded to state that she already answered my question and that she was really busy and if that's all I needed. When asked if I could perhaps have management assist me with my questions she stated "you're gonna have to just call back tomorrow". I asked for at least a first and last name or title that I could direct myself to when I called the next day, she refused to provide last names and didn't clarify who I was to ask for. She only provided a first name until I inquired if they were management or staff. I asked for her last name and she said, "Uh, no!" She asked for my name, I provided my full name and the practice I was calling from. The entire interaction felt rushed, unprofessional and I got the sense of entitlement Linda with no genuine care to address my call the entire time. I was placed on hold twice, once without warning, I wasn't sure if she forgot I was still on the call. Linda refused to continue the conversation due to having "too many calls". She disconnected the call while I was still speaking. I have no words to explain this type of behavior from what I expected to be a professional community serving agency. I truly hope she was just having a bad day and this doesn't reflect St. Mary's as a whole.

Thank you Jessica Bass, Child nutritio Program Specialist: Thanks for giving me the helpful information about how St. Mary's Food Bank coordinates with the school district, especially during the pandemic to make sure children continue to get their food needs met during school year and through the summer. Thank you, Sandy Burgess, NAU student

I m thankful that they are willing to help out the community, but the people there are rude. I went to pick up food with my mom and the lady said she got the food already today which isn t true. My mom did pick up the food yesterday. I told her we haven t pick up anything today and she said we have the computer system and stop trying to take advantage of the system which wasn t even in my mind. I honestly didn t know I cannot pick up the pandemic food drive through two days back to back. I only knew it s twice a month. There aren t any sign or information on the website about it. It was embarrassing because it wasn t my intention and she didn t have to be rude about it. I have volunteered there before several times. I will not be going there again because it s embarrassing and got talked down when I was only there to help my mom pick up food. I hope the people there learn to be more respectful because not everyone likes to ask help and everyone is not there to take advantage of the system. Its already embarrassing enough to ask for help.

I had tried to start a food box in front of my home to help people...but someone stole it. I took the donations I had gathered, along with donations neighbors had contributed, and dropped it all off yesterday.... I was SO HAPPY to know they were willing to take pet food, so families with dogs/cats get help with feeding them too!!!!!
I am going to continue to collect donations and try to drop off items a few times a week, to a couple of places. I was SO moved by the positive attitude and gratitude they felt for the little we could offer...
Thank you to St. Mary's for being a beacon of hope in a time of need. And thank you to all of your staff and volunteers who shine and show us we can always do a little more to help spread God's light and love! You're all amazing and appreciated!

The only food bank that I go to. I know a lot of people that have to bounce from one to another but they have single bags if you want to come back. This is the main place most food banks get their food from.
