FABULOUS EXPERIENCE!!! When my very scared little 4 year old girl broke her arm - this hospital and the entire staff made everything better! They got her in quickly on a Saturday night. Every one was so nice and sweet to her. They were so thorough but also got us out quickly. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Wonderful staff!!

I can't be more grateful for every nurse, technician and doctor there. Even the cleaning lady was a darling. I was almost in tears to see them taking care of my little girl explaining everything with care and patience in a loving way to her. Absolutely the best.

Brought my 11 year old daughter here. She was Covid positive, chest Xrays showed she had pneumonia, rapid heart rate, blood showed we needed to be on blood thinners (given as a shot) her oxygen levels were low, so she also needed to be on oxygen.

We ended up having to stay for 4 nights. My daughter's first IV, first time in a hospital since birth, and was very anxious about everything happening.
The pediatric nurses were mostly great.
There was one that was not so great (she would do better with adults, was not good at comforting scared children).

But one nurse we had made a HUGE difference in the amount of fear my daughter had, Kelsey. She was absolutely phenomenal. She was caring, supportive, went way above and beyond, staying late One night when we had a doctor issue. She even apologized when it was something completely out of her control. Kelsey would explain everything, spoke calm and clear, and just overall personable. My daughter actually was asking for her, hoping Kelsey was the nurse coming back in the morning.
We were unable to nominate her for a "Daisy" award, but I hope this review will be enough. We appreciate her so much!

My daughter was in John Hopkins All Children s Hospital for over 2 weeks. I pulled her out of a local hospital here after three days and took her to all children s because previously I had a micro preemie who was born at 23 weeks and she was in the nicu for 4 1/2 months. All Children s saved her life so I was comfortable with trusting my kids lives in their care. She was admitted for two weeks then she was discharged and was home for three weeks. She relapsed and became very ill again so we had to bring her back to the hospital but I chose to bring her to your hospital, to Saint Joseph s Children s Hospital and that was the smartest decision I ever made. The neuro team has a lot of the same staff that work in both hospitals so that was a plus but the fresh ideas, new outlook, and the loving, professional manner that was by every employee we came into contact with was the kicker for me! St. Joseph s will be our first choice from here on out! Thank you for all you do!

Prior to my daughter's scheduled cardiac procedure we were advised payment in full needed to be taken care of in order for her to placed on the schedule. We were told an amount that we owed by the hospital who said the insurance company was already contacted and given an amount we owed from the deductible. We paid up front to ensure our daughter was placed on the schedule. Prior to the actual procedure there was a HIPPA violation long with wrong information marked on her chart.

Contact was made to the admitting department and Nanette Wilcox regarding these concerns. Advised I would be contacted regarding these concerns and received no follow-up. We never received an actual bill from the hospital and after speaking with billing we were advised we would be reimbursed within the next couple of days which has not been done. Multiple attempts to contact billing department results in being disconnected.

If I owed money and did not pay on due date my guess we would be charged with a penalty fee. I feel the hospital should pay us a penalty fee for not reimbursing in a timely!

Every staff member with whom we interacted was amazing, kind, compassionate, and put our stress and anxiety at ease. Everything ran smoothly. Fantastic job by Dr. Jorge McCormack. He was amazing and the procedure was successful.

We are new to the area. Overall, the experience was good. My only complaint is about one staff member. Stacy, a paramedic working in the emergency room. She was extremely rude, unsympathetic, confrontational, and completely unprofessional. It was clear from her lack of compassion, that she should find another career. Her unprofessional behavior towards the patients and their family members in the emergency room waiting room brings a huge dishonor and discredit to your organization, and the nursing staff as a whole.
I ve been an emergency trauma nurse for almost 30 years. I have never been treated so rudely. Nor have I seen such abhorrent behavior tolerated by an employee.
