Horrible horrible hospital especially if you are pregnant!

Here's the story, my wife was set to be induced here, the minute we came in we got attitude from the nurses for no reason, next we had a nurse who had no idea what she was doing. She checked my wife for dilation and after a few seconds she said and I quote "I can't feel it so I'll just say you are a 2".... Ummm okay, sure, let's just start guesstimating my wifes dilation. After that a women next to us was screaming her head off with contractions, how many people helped her you ask? None... for 30 minutes. Then the doctor finally came in after 1 hour and asked what's wrong? I mean WOW, What's wrong? Not a Sorry I kept you waiting, not a hello, just... What's wrong (With attitude). After 2 hours at this hospital we just decided to grab our things and leave before they induced my wife, thank God we did.

Seriously stay away from this place. They just want the money, they don't really care. If you need to go to the Hospital find elsewhere please, I wouldn't want any woman going through pain and agony just for the nurses and doctors to care less.

Also the place is DIRTY. I'm not sure who can say this place is clean. There is dirt on the drapes, graffiti in the restrooms and the floor is just... You don't want to know. It's pretty on the outside but the inside is in ruins. Trust me.

Expect to wait forever. Even if you came by ambulance. The experience was horrible. No one paid any attention to your needs. As i entered Where the EMT guide you there were people lined up on the hall way. Crazy mess. I was holding my son and a doctor rolled a table so fast it almost hit my sons head. My son is only a month old. That place needs major work. Professional staff. Be more welcoming. More comforting. If your a big complainer, you are catered too. If you dont advocate, you will be ignored. There is just so much going on the place lacks organization and updated technology. I wouldnt step foot in there again.

My dad fell off the bed under their care. Worse place.

My 1 1/2 year old daughter was sick and inconsolable and the silly security guard didn't want to allow me or some family members in, INDIVIDUALLY, to help my 8 month PREGNANT wife, or bring her WATER. Absolutely ridiculous.

I was very critical of this hospital due to all the negative reviews, however, my experience in this hospital was not bad at all. Even without insurance, they gave my father proper treatment and made sure to attend his every need. We were properly informed about the necessary procedures he would have to go through. Overall, it was a pretty adequate experience and was nowhere near as bad as I feared it would be.

Near the entrance the receptionists were dead in personality, you will see. The Hospital was clean and nice looking but the Dr./s i feel withhold information that would ease your worrying by strategizing the diagnosis with a "Protocol". In other words they clearly wanted to milk the Insurance company. Kinda like a car mechanic.

This is the worst, my granddaughter who is 13 years old went to the emergency room, after sitting there for 3 1/2 hours before being seen the only thing they did was checked her breathing with a stethoscope and said she need to drink water, get more rest. My baby had gone to the bathroom for 24 hours. The doctor had an emergency, my daughter was told that they can leave because the doctor would be at least 4 hours.
This hospital has gone down hill. I use to come here but never again. The staff should be ashamed, you took an oath to take care of person.
I am a patient advocate and I will take this further .

The most stupid hospital ever. My aunt had surgery here this morning i came to visit her and she was no where in the hospital according to their records. No one knows nothing. I later call my aunt and she's been there since yesterday in the 5th floor but no one was able to tell me this. Unbelievable!

It is a hospital crap my grandmother is hospitalized right now and it is 8:55 am and she still does not bring her medication and the nurses are not told to stop worse than carseleras when the little girls are never never go to that hospital never please tell My grandmother who let her out and the doctor or his lights as it is 11/25/2015 I am sure he is going to celebrate Thanksgiving and I will leave it here until he returns that courage and claims and they take you to crazy don't pay attention to anything that courage

One of the worst hospitals, they do not cater well the nurses are very rude they treat it very very badly to one. I arrived with labor pains and instead of helping me, they sent me to the house because they did not have beds available. HAPPY HOSPITAL !!!

If it was possible to give negative amount of stars I would surely give negative 10. The absolute filthiest health facility I have ever stepped foot in. My 92 year old grandmother was admitted to this hospital, the staff is sloppy and below average. They take forever to answer her when she needs something. She can't walk so sadly she depends on nurses to assist. They allowed her to sit in a soiled bed all night. Horrible experience.

My sister gave birth to two twin boys by the amazing Dr Chavira. He saved my sister from having a c-section. One of her babies was frank breach and the other baby was complete breach. Due to Dr Chavira s expertise, he delivered the babies vaginally. I am so grateful for Dr Chavira who is a pioneer for his time with delivering breach babies vaginally. The twins were born with no complications and my sister had very little tearing. He made my sister, her husband, and me feel comfortable and confident with him. He took extra time to talk and text with my sister and to answer any questions she had. The nursing staff were fabulous. They were attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable. Karen, Marwa, and Alex, thank you very much! I would highly recommend this hospital, staff, and Dr Chavira.

Fatal service I got bleeding, losing my baby and they did not care I arrived before 2pm and I lost my baby at 4:30 pm and they still did not take care of me, it was the first and last time I went to that hospital ..... and for a change then I tend to because I lost my baby and I leave until 10:00 pm and only 2 pills were given to me, the nurses, they just walk from one place to another.

Please do not come here even if you have a really bad emergency it is ghetto and discussting. Security does not care they let people break into your cars and they let anyone do anything they want.

No cousin is in an emergency. Since last night because they do not have beds, it is impossible that the hospital is very big if they clean the rooms quickly.

A good Medical center. Friendly staff. For majority of the place is clean. Down fall I found a cricket and a spider on the floor while we were waiting for recoup from a endoscopy.

Bad condition in the hospital and the elevaters are fill of pee and it stinks in side and also the people that are sick escape from their rooms and it's better to go to littel company of.marry whith 4.5

Horrible. the "Staff" is the most rude and Not Profesional ever. stay away from this hospital.

I just had surgery last Friday and at first I was scared cause reading all the reviews I was having second thoughts, after my surgery i was in the hospital for 2 days and let me tell you, the doctors and nurses even the cleaning crew where amazing and caring, I did not have any issues at all now I'm back home recovering and happy my surgery and care went well.

The Worst Service I had ever have before, they don't let more than 1 person at the time for a new born baby visit, also they didn't let my 13 yrs old son as a visitor and the attendance are mean!!! All I have to say and remind then is that EVERYTHING AND EVERY SINGLE SERVICE are Charged And PAID!! PLACES LIKE A HOSPITAL HAS MILLION AND MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN ANUAL GAINS FROM ALL OF US!!!

your operator is the worst! if the line is ringing continuously, when someone picks up they talk and hang up its ridiculous. I've called 4 times today with either issue! you need to fix your entire system because this is unacceptable

Do NOT come here for any surgery that may affect the remainder of your life. I am currently hospitalized here. I came in for a routine hip replacement on 6/18/2019. During this surgery they fractured my leg, I know this only because it slipped out of a nurse. It's been over a week and I'll I've been told to this moment is that I will have to be here for an additional 2 weeks for physical therapy. I still don't not know to what extent the damage is in my leg because neither my surgeon Dr. Mehta or their department head Dr. Young have had the common courtesy to come by and tell me where they screwed up. I am now going to refuse to eat, take medication including pain pills or allow any staff member to touch me. Let's see what happens next!

Worst experience here... my pregnant girl came here by emergency due to a migrain she has had for the last couple of days and other issues. She has been waiting since 1pm bruh its about to be 8pm one for hour and she completes a full shift. Terrible emergency room do not recommend it to anyone change your spot. While you can.

Waiting time is long they don t keep you updated so slow for everything.

Hospital trash, if someday they bring you here, run away, because you do not have a hospital.

Honestly the WORST hospital to go to. Dirty, ghetto,and a majority of the staff is rude, unorganized and hardly any of them actually know what they're doing. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE GO HERE.. horrible.

The staff from the security guard to the nurses and doctors are so rude. They don t look you in the eye. They keep their eyes on their cell phones and are not interested in helping you. I spoke to about 10 staff members and not one was nice or even professionally decent.

We were very grateful to the entire ER staff, the nurse who was assigned initially was so gracious and kind to us, while maintaining professionalism. Both doctors we dealt with were also very kind and efficient in their handling of mine and my daughters' injuries. Thank you sincerely.

Terrible service. The nurses do not keep you informed on procedures. Have been here since 630 this morning time now is 3 p.m apparently they are waiting for a room so my grandma can recover. Nurse Ben would get me information on my grandma and I was never informed. Called the help desk three times and still nothing. Last time they hung up on me. This place is
terrible. They should be taught common courtesy on informing patients family members on what's going on. TERRIBLE SERVICE. DO NOT COME HERE. This place is so bad if I could give it no stars I would!. Nurse Jimmy was very helpful the rest need to take some classes on common courtesy. Dear God!

It s hit and miss with the staff here. The doctor was great but some of the nurses were extremely rude and in-caring to our requests. One nurse in particular was super atrocious in brushing off my wife request to keep our newborn baby with us. She insisted that we remove our quiet sleeping baby and put him in the nursery. I could understand if the baby was keeping mom up of something along those lines. But this nurse had no actual justifiable reason other than yelling at mom and I that it s policy . And acourse the other staff backed her once an argument started. We will deliver at home next time. Five stars for the great doctor and a few great nurses. But minus 10 stars for this cold evil nurse. I hope she gets fired or slips and breaks her hip/back while at home. That s all I can legally write about her on here so I ll end my post now.

I spent 5 days here in the hospital with them shoveling antibiotics down my throat and thru an i.v., only to find out the real cause of my condition which didnt require a hospital stay only required one shot of penicillin...so for 5 days i was treated with antibiotics i didnt need forced to stay in a room without a tv.

Worst service I ever experienced from emergency where you have nurses or nurses assistance laughing and joking around while there is an entire room of ill Patients ... sitting around snacking on food. Worst attitudes... if you hate your occupation change it.. don t take it out on others.
AND Terry in the accounting Dept. Is the worst person to deal with when it comes to payments or questions regarding insurance a heartless rude female .
Seems like the qualifications to work at this hospital are slim to none. Staff seems ignorant.

Excellent place, excellent attention from nurses and doctors

I can't thank this place enough from the Surgeons to the Security staff for taking care of my people, and helping my mom feel as comfortable as humanly possible while she visited my uncle, who was needing a major surgery to help save his life. You guys are beautiful human beings for what you do.

This wasn't the hospital I was supposed to deliver but was the closest one I could get to had a premature delivery .The wait to see someone was a bit of a wait because it was people ahead of me and had bad contraction .But everyone I encounter was very friendly always checking on me it made my experience a good one my baby had to stay a few days after I check out but gave me update as I visit her that was good until I was was to take her with me.would recommend this hospital.Doctors and nurses go beyond and above there job and that's hard to come by now of days from my experience here

They take forever to see you go to Martin Luther king instead they assist you right away..

Except for their excellent skilled ICU, i would not bring someone i cared a little about to this facility.

In 1965 I was born there, they grabbed my head with tongs so hard it left dents in my head. I am now 47 and suffer with very bad headaches, have all my life, where the dents are in my head. It has made my life a living nightmare. Dont go here for a soar throat.

The nurses are horrible rude an very unprofessional bad attitude. Only one nurse at of 10 was cool. That nurse had a great attitude and service of us very nicely. Birth clerk was great too. The security dont know what to do there disrespectful an terrible. If i have another kid never going here.l again. I really hope everyone looks at there reviews an understand how bad of a hospital this place is.

I feel this hospital does not get the credit it deserves. First, the biggest perk about this hospital is they have a level three NICU. This is the only level three NICU on a 25 mile radious. That should be a huge selling point for parents, I know it was for me. I went in to labor and delivery on July first because I was having contrations. From the moment I walked in the door the staff was fantastic. While I was in triage Nurse Emma went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable. She was knowledgeable and made sure that I was admitted because she knew I would end up being back later. Once I was admitted, I spent about four more hours in the delivery room before my son made his debut. We had our own private room and all of the nurses were sweet and understanding. I would love to mention all of them in this post but I was a little out of it so trying to remember everyone is difficult. However, if you are planing on having your baby here please go to the orientation especially if you have any reservations about this hospital based on the negative reviews. My experience here was stellar. The only down fall was during delivery. I did feel like the nurses that were in the room with me could have been more understanding to my pain. Please dont base your choice on deliver by reading all of these negative posts. I wish you the best of luck and many blessings. Thank you to all of the nurses that helped me.

We got to ER at 4:00 pm. It's almost 11:00 pm and we're still here! The service is very bad, they don't have large waiting rooms. They pass you from one to the other and, when you get to the office ... you have to wait another hour for the doctor to attend you, then for you to do exams, process your insurance, and now see what happens next ...
We stayed until 3:00 am and the patient ... They only prescribed a medicine to ease the pain!

I honestly don't recommend it. The service is lousy.

They took forever to give us results i would've. Rated 1. Star but some of the people were nice but most were very mean one man was screaming of pain and they didnt care

Just experienced the most horrible service from one of the head nurses! My cousin is currently a patient who is being treated for the corona virus. Today I called to see if I could possibly get an update about her health, her head nurse told me, hello yes? Call your cousin. I can t keep answering the amount of calls you guys make. If you want to get information keep yourself inform, and then proceeded to hang up. Truly awful !

Take my child because he had several days with a headache and vomit and they returned us to the house they told me that it was a virus without doing any exam .. days later I took him to another hospital and my baby had a malignant brain tumor .

I was born here april 10, of 2000. My mom was in labor and was stuck in the waiting room, screaming in pain. And they refused to take her back. Thank god a nice black lady insisted my mom get a room as she was in pain and in labor. Bless your soul ma'am

Satisfied with their service. Most nurses are great! But I did get a few grouchy ones.

They treated me in emergency of wonder and without discrimination.

I had an amazing experience at the emergency room today. Everyone was kind and helped me to the best of their ability. I want to thank Kyle, the P.A for his attention to detail. Most importantly I want to thank Regina Gibson for her amazing, nursing skills. She gave me a tetanus shot and I didn't even feel it. Best nurse ever

I'm thinking of having my baby here but some of the reviews have me worried. This is the closest hospital to me, u really want to just go and have my baby when it's time and not be treated like if I'm not about to have a baby

For the most part nurses were very nice although some unexperienced. The big problem here was the doctor, took 24 hours for us to even see the doctor for 5 minutes, after two days sent my sister home with no medications or causes of her pain, we had to go to another Hospital 4 hours later since she couldn't bare the pain at home. No fast service here and very unprofessional care. Very disappointed for such a beautiful hospital.

This place is terrible!!!! I was transferred here due to insurance reasons from a hospital 5 miles from home. I suffer from an ectopic pregnancy and the first hospital was going to admit me right away until the insurance problem. I waited 6 hours for transport to transfer to this hospital for them to have a room ready for me. Plus I went 3 days without having any treatment on this so-called emergency cuz they couldn't get the medications they needed so iwouldn't have to have surgery. NO TREATMENT. Went day and a half before I finally heard from the doctor. Nurses don't know what's going on. One girl didn't bring me my lunch because I requested the alternate meal. Waited 2 hours to eat. Then staffs like we know that girls like that. Then y the F is she working here. And God knows how long I have to wait to either get transport back to the other hospital for treatment or for that damn medication to get here. I'm literally just waiting for things to get worse to end up bleeding to death. Not to mention I have a baby I haven't seen in 4 days so far. FTS

i did surgery in this hospital and i still there , i was so afraid because the reviews was so bad and i had to come here as my insurance directed me , after 2 days in the hospital i can say it is wonderful , everything is soo good , nurses , care , compassion , they are perfect , bad reviews just a big lie

the staff, the discharge people suck, you hear them say how they're taking their time to do their work because the day/ night is slow.. I'm sorry, but I didn't know that you're suppose to purposely have the patients wait, fall asleep, waste their time because you don't want to be an efficient worker.. DON'T THE DOCTORS EXPLAIN TO THE STAFF THAT THE FASTER YOU DISCHARGE THE PATIENT TREE LESS LIKELY IT WILL BE FOR THEM TO PICK UP A DIFFERENT ILLNESS THAN THE ONE THEY CAME IN WITH?? checked in and saw doctor within 2.5 hours.. have been waiting 4 hours for discharge paperwork

I ended up at this hospital on emergency after a car accident and got stripped out naked and at the end they gave me my completely ripped shirt back but not my brand new Nikey's or my jewelry back. It makes no sense why would they keep my shoes and necklace but give me back something that's obviously unwearable. The nurses here are thieves.

The way they run the ER is time consuming. The Triage room was nasty and unsanitary. It smelled like pee and was cluttered with equipment and dirty gloves on the counters. I cannot tell you when the last time someone mopped and dusted in there. I did not want to touch anything in there. Nasty.

I'm really surprised at the reviews, I delivered here twice, in 2012 & 2015 and both times were a good experience for me. I had c sections for both deliveries, the 1st time I would Not dilate, I have no idea why or that this could happen but I had to do an emergency c section since my water broke but I couldnt push the baby out. The nurses were really attentive and nice, my son was in NICU and the nurses gave him a beautifully knitted blue hat. It was soo cute and they really treated us well and took care of my baby.
The second time around I was actually referred to California hospital but the nurses there were horrible, I called my dr and told her I would not give birth there and wanted to go with St Frances. As soon as I arrived at St Frances they quickly got me into a small room, I told them I wanted a c section because I felt more comfortable doing that than go through the not dilating again and the doctor said no problem, I also couldnt have epidural because of my low blood plateletes and I requested anesthesia which they agreed to no problem. It was all so easy and again they took good care of me, the nurses and doctors all professional. They also sent this nun into my room and she gave my twins these little blue and pink rosaries and said a prayer over them. Im not a religious person but I thought that was nice, just having someone wish well for my kids. They didnt do this the 1st time because I marked no religion but I guess this time I forgot. I didnt mind though. I felt nothing but cared for and everyone was giving helpful videos and pamphlets. Nothing but praise for St Frances and their staff. Thank you so much

So far I am very happy with the care my father has received. The staff has been very caring and helpful not to mention quick. I hope not to have to return but if my father needs care again I will be bringing him to St. Francis.

The doctors and nurses are very rude and don't care about the patient's feeling at all. And they have attitude and talk very disrespectful to the patience.
I asked for a blanket and I was told no i also told the nurse I couldn't breath and all she said was ok want walked away

I just had surgery yesterday and I was so nervous because of the reviews I read. To my surprise my visit has been great so far. The nurses have been patient with me , never making me feel like I am bothering them and explain everything to me. I am very satisfied with my stay.

Excellent hospital I have tended very well in my labor since I have 3 children and I was born in this hospital san francis are friendly staff excellent service and also very clean and I recommend 100% recommended

September 13th 2018 I'm going to be 3 months that I have my baby in San Francis.. I must say I'm very disappointed with the doctors that did my C-section cuz I'm about to be 3 months already and I feel pain standing up walking and carrying my baby.. I went to the doctor already and he said that what I feel is the string atI first i thought it was Staples inside my C-section but the doctor told me is a string and it feels very uncomfortable!! my doctor told me that I had to go back in 10 days and see him again... I don't know what's going on or what's going to happen but the only thing.. I had to say is that doctor that did my C-section did a horrible job I had a C-section before and I was up and running in 2 months I feel very depressed with this one I don't know what else to do now when the doctors were getting everything ready to do my c-section it was around 6 or 6:30 to me it seems like they were rushing everything for them to leave well I don't know what else to say but I highly don't recommend this Hospital my room did not have AC Service I need to beg them to bring me a fan cuz it was hot as hell this hospital is the worst place to deliver your baby now I don't know what I'm going to do I can't go back to work cuz I feel pain in 10 days I will be seeing my doctor I'm very scared.. can't use the jeans I'm only using leggings I don't feel myself anymore!!

I dont understand why this hospital has low reviews? I had a surgery done this morning, and the staff as well as the treatment was amazing. I couldn't have asked for better care. The nurses Elena, Lawrence, Hasan, and Rhea went above and beyond to make sure I felt safe and at home. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to feel extra reassured, and safe before and after their procedure. Such incredible people there.

Try to make an appointment and the receptionist was very rude. I changed my mind before even go there.
