This hospital is unprofessional. No one has sympathy for any patient nor the visitors. Everyone was rude. It was like talking to the wall. When me and my family tried to ask multiple nurses doctors and security guards for help they walked away, had no eye contact plus the security down in lobby was on her phone and had volume on high. Mind you the security in the 2 floor was eating and didn t seem to want to be bothered. I would not give them any stars. Dont recommend this hospital at all. So sad due to family and friends have no choice but to come here due to emergency reasons.

My mum went here but all doctors who saw her never really listened to her, now she is scared to go there because of the poor services she received there
worst place ever not caring.. people sick and screaming in pain and the nurses joking around and stuck on the phones never they answer any question to the patient very dirty place I dont recomend to noone this place is a nightmare..
Please be cautious before going to St. Francis. As a resident in in this area for over 20 years and living in close proximity; I still do not go to this hospital and unfortunately I should of stuck with my instincts. In June of 2018, I was severely misdiagnosed by the ER Doctor here and prescribed a medicine that could of resulted in me losing my eye-sight if I took it and did not follow up with my own doctor who informed me of this. This was negligence. Please do not go to the hospital. If you can get take the extra time to go somewhere else; you re life may depend on it.
I recently had minor day surgery at this hospital. From pre admission testing to the surgery itself, these nurses and staff went above and beyond. Very friendly and outgoing, if I have to have more surgeries will not mind going back. A+ cafe
Unprofessional, dismissive of patient complaints and to top it all off gave my sister discharge papers belonging to someone completely different, which means they didn't even bother going through the 3 steps of identification. We still do not have my sisters discharge papers and have already filed a complaint against the hospital for HIPAA violation and poor patient care! Never again! Oh and my sister had to be admitted at a hospital in NY for 4 days because they ACTUALLY took her case serious and cared for her the days she was with them!
Excellent! I had the best care from pre-admission to surgery of my knee. Every doctor and nurse were truly the best. I thank them for taking such a good care of me. I was so pleasantly surprised. Thank you.
There is no reason Registered Nurses and Doctors should be misinforming patients! I went to the ER Thursday night and I was told that my lab results would be available in 2 days and if I did not receive a call, to call anyway to double check. I call today and I m told by whoever answered the phone in the Lab department that it is HIPPA Law to not give results over the phone. SO which one is it!!??? l don t understand.
As far as hospitals go they are either new buildings or old and have a history. I didn't judge this hospital by its age or location and I am glad I didn't. From the time I entered this hospital, I was well informed of what was happening, treated with respect, compassion and kindness. In my opinion everyone from the time of admission to the time of discharge had demonstrated professionalism and had knowledge of their field of expertise. I had heart surgery at this hospital and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hospital to someone.
I could not believe how great everyone treated me I went to the ER today with symptoms of a heart attack Dr Ben Nurse Ron and Kevin also Alyssa were wonderful kind people who made me feel at ease with everything they kept me informed and were truly concerned about my well being Thank you all for making my time there as best as possible Dr Ben and Nurse Ron keep up that great sense of humor you have again thank you to all the staff involved with my care
On oct 28 I went in because I had swelling in my face after taking antibiotics. I was concerned and went to the er. When the doctor walked in she asked me what brings you in today so I say well as you can see my face is swollen and before I could finish she said and I quote "well I dont know what your face looked like before" when you could clearly see the are impacted. She was with me less than 10 mins and told me well you have to be on antibiotics for 24 to 48 hours so theres nothing I can do just go home and wait for them to take effect. I was given my discharge papers and since I wasnt feeling well I didnt look at them until later on. That's when I realized they gave me someone else's discharge papers with all of that persons information and everything she had done at the hospital. A few weeks later I was admitted in a hospital in new york for the same symptoms I had went to st Francis where they went above and beyond. I had an infection which had spread to my side of my face and turned into facial cellulitis. They did catscan and put me on antibiotics through IV, did blood cultures and released me to and oral and maxillofacial surgeon. I feel if the attending physician would have done something other than tell me to go home I wouldnt be in the predicament I am now.
Someone from upper management needs to inspect different sections of this hospital. The section we're you bring prisoner in is so dirty the sheets don't get changed and the room have not been cleaned. People leave your Dirty hospital with staff. Tell your CEO to took into this. He probably doesn't care but I do. He should also look into cleaning the bathroom.
I have always used St Francis as my go-to hospital, mainly because Its so close to where I live, but after my ER visit last night, I am changing to another hospital and WILL NOT be returning to them. I went to them because of a high blood pressure and trouble breathing - they checked it and it was 180/90. They initially acted concerned (and I have to say the one nurse who took me back to the room, was great), but when they couldnt figure out what was wrong with me, decided to diagnose me with Anxiety! Even after I told them I dont them I dont have that! Ok, so that is understandable if they couldnt figure out what was wrong with me...But here's what is scary- they tried to give me a xanax to "calm me down"- I looked at the nurse and asked him how more calm could I be? I was laying down so tired I could barely talk. I kid you not, I felt like I could pass out..all I wanted to do was lay there....why would you give someone who feels like they could literally PASS out from the high blood pressure something to "calm" them down? That's when my alarm went off!
I have a co-worker who is in the process of getting his wife's records changed over to another hospital (for several reasons) but one of them was they tried to prescribe her Depression medicine when she has CANCER! My eyes have been opened- I would NOT trust your life with this hospital-Go somewhere else if you can!
I was admitted an my respiratory therapist is evil i dont know her name but she has dark hair ponytail swooped to the side.. its currently 11:55 a.m Tues. March 12th 2019. shes just leaving my room.. mind you i asked for a treatment at 11:10 a.m. I asked my nurse to give it to me she of course said ok but she comes back 11:30 a.m. after i constantly cried an complained to the people cleaning my room. she kept saying she was waiting for respiratory, meanwhile I was crying saying I couldn't breathe mind you, I'm a open heart surgery patience as of Oct.2018. who was dealing with heart failure. Highblood pressure An also suffer from Chronic Asthma my entire life. So I started to panic an get anxiety really bad as I was crying an asking for a different nurse my Resident Dr. came in tellin me not to cry hes goin to make sure I get it now. He consoled me for a few seconds saying you asked for respiratory relief over 20mins ago they should have been here. As he was leaving the "respiratory therapist" was finally showing her face. I said can I please have my breathing treatment? Ive been waiting a very longtime and my breathing is getting worse, and Im sure my blood pressure an heart rate is higher while obviously in distress an crying, SHE REPILED: IF YOU COULDN'T BREATHE YOU WOULDN'T BE TALKING AN CRYING. IMMEDIATELY MY HEART STARTED RACING BECAUSE SHE WAS VERY HOSTILE AN UNCARING. SO MIND YOU SHE STILL HASN'T GIVEN ME MY TREATMENT BY THIS POINT. SHE STOOD OUTSIDE MY ROOM ON HER COMPUTER OM PURPOSE FOR ATLEAST 9 MINS WHILE I CRIED GOT UPSET AN BEGGED FOR MY TREATMENT SHE LOOKED AT ME AN SAID YOU JUST HAVE TO WAIT.. SO I KEPT RINGING THE NURSES BELL ONLY FOR HER TO SAY JUST WAIT. BY THIS POINT 10 MORE MINS HAD GONE BY.. SO THEIR WAS AN AFRICAN LADY WITH TWIST IN HER HAIR WHO WITNESSED THE ENTIRE THING BECAUSE SHE WAS CLEANING A ROOM ACROSS FROM MINES AN CLEANING MINES.. SHE REPORTED THIS TO HER BOSS WITHOUT TELLING ME AN I'M SO GRATEFUL AN THANKFUL FOR HER PAYING ATTENTION TO THESE " SO CALLED HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS" AN HOW THEY TREATED ME LIKE I DIDN'T MATTER. AS I SAT AN THOUGHT ABOUT THEY DIDN'T CARE ABOUT ME AT ALL SUM1 CAME IN TO TAKE MY VITALS LETTING ME KNOW MY BP HAD WENT UP TO 168/70. I'M STILL HERE AN I'M VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. I WANT TO LEAVE I EXPLAINED THAT TO MY RESIDENT DRS. BUT THEYRE SO GOOD TO ME.. THEY JUST LEFT MY RM AGAIN WITH A HEAD DR. I EXPLAINED THE SITUATION THE HEAD DR. WAS VERY UNHAPPY TO HEAR MY COMPLAINTS. THE LOOK ON HIS FACE SAID IT ALL HE ALSO SAID HE WAS VERY VERY SORRY THIS HAPPENED. BUT I WILL BE CONTACTING MY LAWYER. AN HIGHER PEOPLE IN THIS HOSPITAL. THANK YOU, Nickeshee Tyus
Needs to be a way to leave NEGATIVE STARS !!! Medically speaking this was a good facility. Everything beyond that is ATROCIUS to put it mildly. Couldn't leave because the floor was understaffed and they could not find ANYONE from security to let us out the door. This took over an hour. BILLING IS HORRIBLE !!! I had checked in advance with my insurance company and had no Copay due. At 4:30PM the day before my procedure their Billing department called and said I would have a copay of $896.06 and that I would have to make a payment by credit card or they could not perform the procedure the next day. I paid that amount over the phone which I do not like to do at that time. I check with the insurance Company the next week and the insurance company confirmed the there was NO COPAY DUE and that I should not have paid the $896.06. The insurance company conferenced me in with this lousy billing department and they confirm that the payment was unnecessary and assured me a refund would be issued. No refund has been received but I just received a Bill Demanding payment for ANOTHER $96.06 within 10 days. The Insurance Company has already paid in full and just conferenced me in with this scummy billing department that confirms that they received the insurance companies payment last week but have not posted it and I would receive a refund 30 days after I pay the $96.06 because I could be placed in collections if they, the billing department, do not post the full payment before the 10 days is up. THIS IS A RIPPOFF !!! How many other people have they scammed out of money like this who just give up fighting over it..... This shows just how broken the healthcare system is......
tephany Hernandez one of your cleaning staff just divulged a delicate medical condition i have out loud while arguing and aggravating my mother Deanna Rios a patient there. What kind of unprofessional staff with no sense of ethics do you hire there. She disrespected my confidentiality. she did this while on the clock. at working hours.
Very irresponsible the nurses are unprofessional do not care about the patient the doctors are horrible are not caring. My grabdmother went under a open heart surgery her surgeon was hajji shariff MD cardiovascular. And MD sienfeld they both had differrent statements after the surgery as they have been careless during the surgery and unfortunaty we lost her life. Only because of doctors negligence.
I literally left and went to another hospital while I was in so much pain because of the wait I could have been seriously injured and thankfully I wasn t and didn t injury anyone when I left but I rather risk my life then to wait in the place it s horrible I see why everyone says your better off dying then waiting at st francis
Staff is good , but the maintenance , upkeep in this hospital is horrible. I have been coming to this hospital for a while and noticed a leaky pipe in the basement that has not been fixed for the past 5 months. They keep a 50 gallon plastic barrel under the leak to collect the water.
don't take your HAMSTER here!!! unprofessional, uneducated, unqualified MORONS!! had more than one relative check-in for "routine" procedures and NEVER check-out. it's a one-way ticket to the after-life! ur better off goin to a VET!!!!!
Here waiting In the emergency room in a bed for about one whole hour in pain and agony for anyOne to attend me and my next door roommate female person told a nurse she was leaving and someone attended her after waiting for 3 hours in the emergency room right next to me with a chest pain, unknown condition of her well being she than walked out with her small daughter. I still remain unseen in the emergency room waiting to he attended.
I came to the ER for trouble breathing. The wait wasn't long in and out in 2 hours. Staff was professional and knowledgeable of what was wrong with me. Nothing bad to say about this hospital.
This hospital is horrible, they are completely incompetent, my family has been here for three days and still there is no clear diagnosis as to what is wrong with her. She has received blood work, labs, and urine analysis echocardiograms and still nothing she has seen hospitalist, nurses, case manager, physical therapist, occupational therapist still no diagnosis, this is completely, unacceptable, the doctors here are completely uneducated and play on levels of medicine. This is a complete disgrace to doctors who have practiced in prior years, the building dirty, the elevator's don't work, the light fixtures horrible, the smells, the sheets this is ridiculous how the patients are treated.
The Emergency room is incredible and most of the staff in it is to. Sadly though once past E R the service goes down hill, first suggestion is bring any of your own medicine, top of that list would be any pain meds you have, they will give you a Tylenol for severe pain when your regular Dr has had you on something like percocet 20mg for years because it's an existing and continuing issue but hey that's not this Dr's concern in here he just wants to string out your stay to fatten his pay or he or she maybe a foreign Dr with poor English skills and afraid to do what's needed for you or maybe they want to keep you weak so their terrorist friends can take over more easily for whatever reason if they say they are going to admit you past ER run or bring your own meds or you'll be sorry.
One of the worst experiences in a hospital. Filthy and run down. Nurses were not caring or kind. I will never go back to this place. when I asked to speak to a supervisor, no one came. Horrible care. I've been in hospital a dozen times and never received such poor care.
My wife suffered a TIA and was admitted to St Francis Medical Center. Everyone from the Admission Staff, Emergency Room Staff, Nursing Staff, and Doctors delivered the Best Care available. The Medical Center has been mostly renovated where needed and is clean, efficient and comfortable. Adding to all of this the Catholic aspect and the daily visit by the priest made everything the best. My wife is well and doing fine. Thank you St Francis!
The worst hospital in Mercer county! If you have the ability to choose between st. Francis or one of the other 4 hospitals nearby, make st. Francis your last choice. Workers fall asleep on the job, workers were rude to my family who were there to visit me during peak visiting hours and several of my HIPPA rights were violated. I do have pictures of the staff sleeping while on duty, but for legal reasons, I can not post the photos publicly.
This hospital has gone downhill. I went to the emergency room having an asthma attack and my lips were blue and they still made me wait 2 hours. I will NEVER go back unless I'm dead even then I don't want to go there. Sadly my grandfather worked there for over 50 years and I know he is rolling over in his grave at how unprofessional the staff has become. It's all about the paycheck now.
Terrible experience between here and rwj I don t know which is worse. You tell the nurses and doctors what is actually bothering you and the downplay it and don t actually do what they should and try to help you. I ve been in the er almost 5 hrs I ve seen the dr once. And a nurse once since I ve been here. I still have chest pain and they aren t going to do anything besides and X-ray. If I have a blood clot how in the world can they see that on an X-ray? Like poor service,I feel terrible yet going back home. These doctors are terrible and they make so much money. It s a damn shame.
Some staff members are extremely rude. There don't show any compassion towards a patient or their condition. Customer service is non existant. Some staff require sensitivity training among other things. Horrible experience. I will be following up with a call to Administration. I wish there was a way I could rate them less than one star.
They re rude. If you re going to the emergency side everyone behind a desk and every security guard is beyond rude and this is even goes before covid happened. Now that covid is in place it s even worse. They have no sense in how you should speak to patients or the patients family. They should be ashamed of themselves. Acting like they weren t raised to respect people.
This place is awful. The facility is old and outdated and dingy. ER Doctor didn t seem confident at her job. The transfer from ER to room was a mess and forgot to hook up my brother to a heart monitor. Doctor never ordered a stress test and he hadn t eaten since the night before waiting for a damn stress test that was never ordered. 20+ hours without food. Room had a broken clock, didn t receive room orientation when we arrived. After 30 minutes of waiting, I had to hunt someone down. Awful place.
The worst emergency services ever...Dirty sheet, dirty blanket.Security starting a fight with a patient un-professional nurses who talk about every patient that comes in,And not about there treatment.I went in with left side pelvic pain was made to lay there for two hrs in pain to be sent to catscan of my belly my stomach was not hurting but had test done I ask Dr why she sent me for catscan instead of ultrasound first she says she wanted to rule out appendicitis.Ummmm I'm not a Dr but pelvic pain and belly pain two different things I'm not running a fever and that's on your right side not left she threw her hands in the air walked out room told my nurse let her sign herself out. To be told I would need a ultrasound two hrs later but called tech on call waiting but no tech ever showed up.My opion my ultrasound should have been first test to run.But Dr only wanted to give me morphine I refused I'm not here for pain meds I'm here to find out why I'm in pain .They wanted to give me morphine to put me to sleep as they did two other people in E.R Area cause u hear everything there. What they need to realize not everyone is a junkie looking for a fix....I was looking for an answer and by the way I left hospital without ultrasound cause the tech they called in fell back asleep as I said u hear everything.
Worse hospital you can ever go to. And if you need a neurologist do not go to Dr. Kosowski (or however you spell the name ). I was having some bad migraines that lasted for weeks at a time what he did was gave me medication to make me high instead of solving the issue . I wa sin college at the time and I asked him to sign off to the office of specialized services because I was having trouble in class because of the lights and many other things so I needed accommodations, but he refused to help me. This was about February 2017. Months later I reported him, and some RN had to come in and write down the situation and while I m talking to the RN kosowski just walked past as if I wasn t standing there reporting him. So I kept calling and then Kosowskis nurse called me to say they had already sent over the stuff to my school which was a lie, then later they claimed my mom picked it up that was a lie, then they said they lost it and had no idea where it was. Then they called back to say they found it....Then a month later when I left the college because I couldn t be in the classrooms without accommodations he sent the packet in December , when I had been calling , reporting, and coming in since February. Now I thought maybe I was the only one with this issue with him but my mother has MS and she s been having issues with him just pushing her issues to the side, now she s about to lose her ability to walk she got a MRI done last night and he was saying in front of everyone last night how he s going to make time to see her before Friday and go over the results with her she just needs to call in today and make a time. I called in today for her early October and his nurse said she can t even schedule her until November 27. Basically December , so I said until then she s just suppose to be in pain , barely walking and they said it s nothing they can do about it. That doctor is lazy and does not care about his patients , with me he just drugged me up to get me out his face. With her he keeps pushing off her MS and pain when she lumps , and even her feet have turned blue but she still has to wait 2 more months to get her results , then once she gets her results next step with be make another appointment probably 2 months after that to see what the next step is. He is the worse doctor to cross paths with and this is only part of what he s done , I don t care how much pain your in don t go to him.
Bad when I went to the emergency room today the guards checked with the a metal detector she checked my whole body it didn't go off but yet she still patted me down. sad I went to the ER for help but I feel like a criminal
