It is a beautiful boat accompanied by a very good museum perfectly complete. Everything was magic. Note that the visit is long, minimum 2 hours to see almost everything. 1h30 will be enough if we press the pace. Take your afternoon if you want to explore the historic site from top to bottom.
NB: do not forget to ask the audioguides which are free and ultra complete (the best I have ever used)

Alhough I baulked at the entrance price, I quickly realised it was worth every penny. Very well restored with a lot of effort and attention to detail. If you take your time walking through the ship then you get all the more value, taking in all the nuances. I spent half a day here and could have spent more if I hadn't have needed to get home.

Really enjoyable few hours with 2children. Fun and educational in our home city. Well worth the cost of the ticket although can return again for free. Reasonably priced carpark right next to the ship. Staff were lovely and keen to interact. They were very pleased to see us having just reopened following the lockdown. One way system and measures in place to keep everyone safe. Cheap things for the kids to buy in the gift shop and decent fish and chips in the cafe. Come on Bristol support this brilliant friendly attraction in its time of need!

At first was a little taken back by the price however once in the exhibition it was great! Really detailed accounts of the history of the ss Great Britian and all its journeys. Would definitely recommend stopping in while in Bristol!

A great piece of history, well displayed.

Whoever thought of the "sea level" glass deck with water on top is a genius!
Staff were all very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

We loved our day out here! I thought the 4 year old would get bored after an hour or so, so was glad that tickets can be used for 12 months, but in actual fact she was fascinated, and we stayed much longer than I expected. She loved the interactive bits in the museum, especially the train carriage in the Being Brunel museum. We will definitely get money s worth from our year tickets!

This is one of the best ship museums in the world. Bursting with history and interesting facts and fun. An absolute must for visitors to Bristol. Very happy to award a Phillip Du Saint star of excellence

Great exhibition and restoration of our maritime history. We really enjoyed the time spent exploring the ship and museum. All the staff and guides were very helpful, a special mention for Ryan. If you are visiting Bristol I can highly recommend the experience and I have the t-shirt....

Set in the old port, still a busy and part modern area, the ship is located in its own Dry Dock allowing you to to explore both the outside of the ship and the amazing interiors. Disabled access is very good, lots of information and interactive stuff for kids and big kids! Staff and costumed interpreters are always around to chat to you. Gift shop and cafe are also very good, GF selection available for snacks. The old port is well worth a walk and there are boat tours and ferries when you are flagging.

Good piece of history. I ve never experienced the ability to view a ship from a dry dock before. The experience wasn t just about what you can see but also what you can smell (a foul old stench at the front of the boat) but hey, that makes it even more historical :D

Ticket valid for a year once purchased also 5% discount if you book online.
Great for all ages you can also climb the rigging included in the price and if you like heights. New Brunel exhibition also good for all ages that's where you will find the giant head.
Also good if the weather is not as great as most things are inside.

What a fantastic tourist attraction to be able to negotiate this ship in a wheelchair is beyond my expectations. I think this goes above and beyond accessibility for people with disabilities. On my visit I was able to visit all the decks and the hull and the staff were very friendly and informative. I thoroughly recommend this to anyone.

A Fabulous place well worth the visit. Such a lot to see and to learn about the great man himself. Great storytelling of the ships history & makes you feel as though you're part of the voyage. Along with background character dramatisations, ship voyage sounds, smells and visual layouts, it's very well put together and a great experience for young and old.

Amazing. Such a great place. Feel so proud of Bristol and all the work the volunteers are doing to preserve this amazing asset for the city. The ticket is great value allowing you to return for a year. Thanks to everyone for their great efforts.

Really lovely place to visit in. In the summer time it's absolutely amazing and totally beautiful. When you buy a ticket you get to return again on the same ticket. Perfect for a family day out or a romantic day out. The water front that it sits on is so nice to be around and there is loads of restaurants, bars, clubs, and it is a generally nice place to be .

Amazing, Brunel was a genius and the drawings in the museum just show you how much of a genius he was. The ship is very impressive. The only thing I will say is the entry price is a little steep (I know you can go as many times as you want within a year, but I don't live near enough to take advantage of that), that's not to say I don't appreciate what that money is going towards, just feel a lower price would get more people in.

It has been some years since we visited SS Great Britain and the advances in the displays were wonderful. It was really worth a revisit to see how they have brought the past back to life. Would recommend it to anyone wanting an excellent day out. The cafe was good, coffee, soup and tea were well worth the money
