Good service, good food, really good beer. Cool atmosphere. If brew pubs are your style, this place is worth it.

Cute brewery. Servers were nice and helpful. Would definitely recommended visiting.
Great food great service great beer selection great environment love it!
Fried pickles were great and buffalo burger was juicy and well done.
Really went there to try every beer on there menu, and was pleased to find a few that were surprising and unique. The service and atmosphere were both great as well.
Great food, beer is delicious and friendly wait staff.
We were visiting from out of town and were able to walk here from our hotel. The food was amazing (I got the yellow curry and another got the club, both great) and our server was AJ and he was one of the best servers I've ever had. Coming from me that means a lot because I always expect good service but was beyond good. I even tracked down the manager to tell him so! Loved the Juicy IPA!
Great bar food and wonderful drafts. The staff is awesome.
Food is mediocre but service and location are nice.
We love squatters! We come back time and time again. We ve been going here since they first opened. I grew up here my whole life and I still look forward to eating at Squatters each and every time. New manager Ian is fabulous! The experience has never disappointed. Squatters is the go to place for locals.
Great beer, and pretty good food for a brew pub. Lots of choices, probably good for a wide range of preferences of both food and drink. Friendly staff, and a relaxed, fun atmosphere.
Solid food, late night, full bar - this is where it all began.
Server said I don t have that kind of time ... what? Food and beer was great though so props to the kitchen but like really?
Excellent beer and food, a most visit pub when in salt lake city
Love Squatters! Its my go-to place when I want good beer (from a bottle, not tap. Thanks Utah liquor laws) and the classic brew pub setting.
Less than impressed. When food comes out less than 5 minutes after ordering it makes you a bit suspicious. My salad was inedible...thankfully our waitress was kind enough to remove it from our bill....raw bacon and rubbery chicken not exactly what I was looking for in a cobb salad. My other family members left half their food on their plates as well. Beer was good. Gave it 2 stars for the waitress and the beer.
Multiple artists worked on this mural, which is really four different pieces. Chuck Landvatter painted the colorful hop-bearded micro-brew god. Trent Call painted the black-and-white brewery how-to mural. Mackinzie Donovan did the celebratory 25-year Squatters brand mural. Mike Murdock did 25 Years in Beer. Organized by the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, the murals went up on the east side of the building in 2014.
Beer is good, but the bartender didn't understand how to properly make a black and tan.
We recently hosted an event at Squatters Pub and it was a smooth and successful process from start to finish. The event planner, Olivia, was a pleasure to work with, and the wait staff was friendly and helpful during the event. The food was delicious, the service was swift, and our attendees were pleased. I highly recommend this venue and look forward to returning.
Great beer that they brew themselves and good traditional American Styles like hamburgers and fries. When they try and reach a little bit higher with well cooked steaks and traditionally well made hot wings, they fall short with undercooked steaks and dry chicken. Service is good. Beer is great. Food on the menu is 50/50. Get a burger, it's worth the money. Get a sirloin, you would get a better pick somewhere else.
Salt Lake City (or all of Utah) is an interesting place when it comes to booze, and the guys at Salt Lake Brewery know how to poke fun of certain aspects of the surrounding culture with their beer names, but it's not all marketing as the beer is very tasty. The tacos were insane and I couldn't recommend them enough. A great way to end National Taco Tuesday!
Excellent service, outstanding food and great beer!! One of my favorite places in SLC. I would recommend calling ahead so you don't have to wait for seating.
Squatters is one of my favorite places to eat, but the hosts make you feel like they are doing you a favor by seating you or taking a to go order. There is no greeting, or warm smile upon arrival. This is something that really needs to be worked on
entered near nine, it wasn't busy. the place has a great feel to it. food and atmosphere reminds me of atlanta.
Great food, award winning beer. I had the chili ahi fish tacos and my spouse had the ceviche. They were both yummy. He said his beer was the best he's had in a long while.
Amazing variety on the menu and delicious food. Large quantities for decent pub pricing and the food got to our table very fast. The atmosphere is great (especially loved sitting on the covered patio) and the staff is perfect.
Atmosphere very cozy and nice, good food without more.
Squatters has the best IPA made in Utah. Hop Rising is great. Good food and good vibes. Can't go wrong.
This is one of my favorite spots when visiting SLC. Great food and ambiance. The thai curry was excellent!
Good service, tasty food, and great selection of craft beers!! Add in relaxed atmosphere and a patio- what's not to love!
Great food and great service! Always a good choice!
Watch your credit card statement for after you go here. On more that one occasion, I've found that they inflated the tip for a greater amount that I signed for.
I loved everything about this place great beer amazing bison burger
Great location, great food and beer!
I had a flight to try a few different beers and I actually loved them all (the Juicy IPA is the absolute best though...so tasty).
Outdoor patio is very cute and spacious.
My first time eating here I saw Quinten Tarantino. The food was good too. I've been back countless times. Love this place.
I have been going to this place since Bandaloops was were pf changes is. So over 20 years. My mom would take me here for lunch and some growlers!!! Awesome memories as a teen. Then as a young adult, adult, and now middle aged. When the food and the beer and service are consistent tou go back!! One of my favorite places. Visit at least twice a month. Except since this covid19 stuff. Dont miss out...
Don't buy the Mug Club membership. Not worth it when you have to wait 2 hours in order to get a table on the first Monday of each month. Manager was extremely unhelpful or willing to let us use our membership a different day.
I only go here because my job goes here for team lunches. I've had the mac'n'cheese with chicken- no flavor, the chicken mesquite salad- the "frybread" was a frisbee that i couldn't cut even with a knife & today the club sandwhich- the bread was so hard it was inedible & the sweet potato fries were more skin than potato. I'll be suggesting other places for the team lunches from now on
I went on a Friday night with a group and the place was fairly empty, but the service was terrible. We did not receive refills on our drinks. I received food poisoning from the lettuce wraps that I ordered. It was very overpriced and average food. Would not recommend.
Fun place! Beware of the "squatters" in the parking lot!. Angry homeless guy trying to sell us a parking ticket.
Awesome staff. Going after Classic Burger. Place is packed. Staff handling it with no problems....
Not being a Utah native I ve been overall unimpressed with the beer in SLC, but I LOVE the beer at Squatters, and I ve never had food there I didn t like (to be fair I get the Mac and cheese a lot, but everything else has always been excellent). The decor and ambiance is perfect for a brewpub lots of different options for seating, and very convenient for downtown. Always take friends here when they re in from out of town. 10/10!
Nice micro brew, if you are from out of state you should know that draft beer is state limited in alcohol content. So don't be surprised by the 4%
You can get better beer in a bottle here. Exactly the opposite of Michigan.
The pub has good food and relaxing atmosphere with great service. Had the bacon topped meatloaf and was not disappointed. Good selection of beer to match the food. The chasing tail ale went down smooth. I recommend the place especially a friendly get together.
Always enjoy stopping here for dinner and drinks when I'm in town.
great food , great atmosphere, great service. I will go back again and again
Love the IPA's. Came here 3 yrs ago, and was really looking fwd to this return visit. Ordered eggs Benedict. Terrible: Came out cold, muffins hard as a rock. Dirty flatware. Must be a leadership problem somewhere.
Squatters is a local favorite. Good food, great atomosphere and amazing beer. Love this place. Also good for brunch with mimosas.
Maybe Sunday is the wrong day to visit. I have enjoyed a few good meals and beers here, but the food quality and service is so spotty. I was delighted to find their new(?) Hell's Keep beer here in the last week. I learned that it just came back after a long hiatus. Then (on Sunday) it was almost like they gave up any effort to give good service. I was ignored for ten minutes. After I got my sandwich and beer, I looked for some additional service - there was an employee on break at the bar with a meal, and five of her co-workers chatting with her rather than helping guests. I finally told my waiter I'd have another beer. and finally gave up and asked for the tab after an unreasonable wait. I went to their front desk where they have a beer-to-go counter, found that the fridge was out of that beer I liked. I asked the cashier if there was any more, she rang someone on the phone, and echoed that it was out of season - clearly not knowledgeable since it had just come back in season. This is the 3rd time that their Sunday customer service skills left me feeling really disappointed. Their food quality and beer quality isn't good enough that I'll ever return. They're off my list.
Visited twice during my 4 day stay in town. Service was great, food was great, and their selection of craft beer was excellent as well.
I had low expectations from reading prior reviews but I actually loved it! Delicious food, and helpful staff. Would come again!
Dog friendly patio, friendly service and cool QR tech to keep you from having to touch menus.
Dont complain about your food here and have it remade. The replacement I receieved was poisoned and I was horribly sick after eating here. The kitchen is willing to poison people for sending food back, what kind of people do such a thing? Eat here at your own risk.
Nice pub with a decent selection on the menu. I really liked the patio in the back on a hot summer day.
came here on a saturday. staff treated us so kindly. bring your hunger - portions are generous.
This place is a good place. If you wanna have a slightly more higher end place to eat than a Denny s or village inn type.
They re super nice. They don t use napkins or Paper towels. So if you get caught out in the rain (like I did) it s not gonna be a place to dry off. I guess it s nice that they care about the environment. The beer is good too. I m not a beer person so my quailifications are not too high when it comes to alcohol. All in all it s a good place.
Great beer selection, great food, good atmosphere. Highly Recommend for anyone who enjoy a good pub atmosphere
Beer great! Had the Apricot Hefeweizen! Street tacos were good but not fantastic Chorizo good but chicken slightly dry.
I had the jambalaya and it was bland. I usually like squatters but I guess I need to stick to the things I normally get.
A great brew pub with great food and great beer. They also host many events like beer and cheese pairings. Every time I have shown up to a special event it has been outstanding!
Super location, nice old brick house, good food and a great coice of beer! Welcome to Utah!
Food is delicious, atmosphere is noisy, and servers are kind and friendly.
We had a party of 27, served by a single waiter, individual tabs. The service was excellent, the food on par as well, and their beers are the appropriate antithesis to a state like Utah.
I'm not why the other reviews were so good, maybe we were there on an off night. But holy was it bad! The beer was ok. Just ok. The food however was pretty terrible. All we had were salad and fries. The salad looked and tasted like it was made last week and the fries were no different. A restaurant like this should have fresh cut fries that aren't from frozen. My meal went almost completely untouched. I wasn't asked if everything was ok, or if I wanted something else or heck, if we even wanted a second beer. We were sitting at the bar so it's not like there wasn't staff around. Really bad food and service. I'm still trying to understand the other reviewers...
Good beer, standard pub food, friendly bartenders with excellent service
Had the Greek salad, delicious! Tried a handful of the beer, some really tasty beer. I disagree with the below review. Good atmosphere, really enjoyed coming here, would recommend and come back.
Awesome food, great beer, and fantastic service! The environment was relaxed!
Pretty good food, good drinks, and great dessert. Our server, Steven, was wonderful!
Good food and great service. Tasty beer is also a plus
Great beer, great food, pet friendly, and outstanding customer service. Our waiter, Peter, knew the menu, the history of Squatters, and just what to recommend based on what we currently drink. He was friendly and prompt! We had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this place to everyone!!
Upscale pub, with the best brewed beer collection in SLC.
The prices and atmosphere seem to be for a non-existent crowd, but I'm sure they're hugely successful nonetheless. They do have good beer of course, but even the beer is priced exceptionally high for what should be a lower option than elsewhere since we're "at the source".
If I'm going out for a beer I'd rather hit Proper on Main St in between 800s/900s. If I'm going out for food, at these prices, I'd rather hit somewhere a little nicer with better options.
The service was good but the place is really crowded, the tables are too close together, the food is overpriced and terrible. I had the fish and chips and the fish was hard, overcooked and unseasoned and the fries were cold and flavorless.
Service was excellent and we had a large group of people. Only ine waiter took care of us and he did a fantastic job. Good craft beer and a wide selection of food from salads, steaks, pizza, pasta, etc.
Vegetarian? This is the place to go for beer and good pub food, That means deep fried usually. GO Meat!
This was a pretty nice place. The food was very good and they have a full bar as well as beers on tap. I got the meatloaf and my husband got the mac and cheese. Both were good, but the portions were pretty big. We hadn't eaten all day so I was able to eat most of mine, but my husband's was like two pounds of noodles. I'm not quite sure how anyone could eat that much. Staff were pretty friendly and we sat in the window and had a great time people watching.
