Just west of Main St, Squatters houses its restaurant and brewery under one rooftop, with plenty of in-house seating at tables or bar. Naturally serving their fine local brews, Squatters also has a selection of traditional pub fare ranging from tacos to macaroni and cheese to fish n' chips.
You'll find there is often availability at lunch for a nice relaxed bite in an unassuming and comfortable setting, with plenty of options on tap to relax with before heading back into the office.
Like a light, wheaty pairing with your pub goods? Ask for an American Wheat, one of the better hefs from local breweries in my humble opinion.

This is a phenomenal place to eat great environment, awesome customer service some of the best food I've had in a pub, excellent prices, great location. Definitely go there again multiple times while I'm around in the area so if you're ever in the area I HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone I know family and friends if you're single, you got a family, going ON A date IT'S a excellent place to take them. Highly recommended. I'd give 10 Stars Plus.

Excellent Gastro Pub. Fun atmosphere with quick friendly service. Our table shared the Buffalo Wings as an appetizer and they were delicious. I had a the Greek Salad topped with toasted tofu and my wife enjoyed the Chicken Mesquite salad. My daughter reported her Fish and Chips were tasty and delivered piping hot. If you re in the area I could recommend this spot for a nice meal or drinks.

Wasatch and Squatters lobbied to keep taps restricted to 3.2% in Utah. That's bad and they should feel bad. I don't support them every chance I get and you shouldn't either. They don't care about you, they only care about protecting their water-beer monopoly.

This place was great!! The service was fast and the food was amazing. Of course the beer was fantastic as well. If I had any criticism it would be their gift shop area. The selection of shirts was pretty sparse and were all out of XL. Not a big deal and doesn't mean anything if you're there just to eat and/or drink.

We started out trying for Gracie's but you can't bring children. A kind patron told us about Squatters Pub. Good for the kids and great for the parents. Plenty of great beer and food choices.

Some of the best beer and food in Utah. If you're visiting, come here. Outer Darkness is the best with a buffalo burger. This is a little slice of "not Utah" tucked away in downtown SLC.

We were in town visiting family and stopped here for dinner on a Monday night. Remarkably busy. The three of us were seated quickly and ordered wine and beer from their great selection. This is almost immaterial until I get to the BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH I have ever eaten. It was Southwest Chicken sandwich - nothing fancy in the name - but oh, so delicious. Starting from the inside, the chicken itself was tender and moist, as expected. Then a healthy amount of cheese, enough to taste it in every bite. (This is important to Wisconsinites.) Was there avocado? I think so but I don't remember. But then peppers! They had just enough bite to know they were there. Surround it with an anything-but-plain soft ciabatta bun and it was heaven. Pair it with garlic fries and this customer left delighted. I couldn't be bothered to put down the sandwich until the first half was gone before snapping the picture.

Good for beer and beverages not so good for food. There is some room for improvement when it comes to food but the drinks and beer selection is what I come here for. Pretty laid back and a good place to kick back a few.

We got the Appetizer Sampler and the Reuben to share. The sampler was great tasting at a great price. The Reuben was delicious and had a load of fries. The apricot hefewiesen was wonderful! Would recommend this place.

The highlight of this dine-in was our server Johnathan. Service is half the experience and he was attentive and friendly. The food is consistent with flavor and accuracy. The beer menu is smaller for a brewery but has many great options. Always enjoy coming here by myself or with friends and family.

A Hole servers... we take 20 minutes for a beer because we are busy . Sorry, not buying it. Skip this place and get better service at McDonalds.

Update #2: they were angry that I complained they didn't serve drinks to the table after 20 minutes!!!! Then wouldn't serve me a drink even though they took my order with every other person of our 20 person party, so fine. Good bye with zero tip. Worst experience in SLC yet.

Being from Belgium and spent a 9 nights' hols just now in SLC.
I loved Squatters so much that I
enjoyed going there practically every night.

Very nice buzzy atmosphere, very good bar service, outstanding friendliness and the music they played was completely up my alley : Rock.
With Belgium being "beer country #1" surely I was curious to find out about their "Hell's Keep" : so tasteful, easy-drinking and this could definately be a genuine Belgian beer! So well done, Squatters! Today I tried out the "Ghostrider" which is also a very yummy one
As for food :
Tried the "Taco's with battered fish" which was very tasty but as the portion was too big for me, I was unable to finish it.
Had the "Salade Nicoise" twice last week and highly recommend this one! I thouroughly enjoyed it. In Europe they serve the tuna in this salad differently than at Squatters. Well, personally I prefer the way Squatters prepare it
Also their "Sirloin steak with sauteed veggies" was delicious : steak perfectly cooked to my wishes... yummy!
Been here every night during my stay and will definately miss Squatters once back home.
A big thank you to all of the Squatters' staff for making my stay a memorable one
I highly recommend Squatters and is a definite "must" when visiting SLC!

Great beer brewed right here in River City. Some of the best low-alcohol brews available worldwide.
Good bar style food. Friendly servers, loud but happy.
Covered patio seating in the summer.
Prices reasonable.

Normally the only reason to go to a microbrewery is for unique local beer. Squatters definitely has good locally brewed beer, but they also have a very good menu. I have gone on company outings and with friends, I have always had good food and a good time

I've had their beer back home and had no idea they had such a great brewery here in SLC. The servers were really nice and pointed out good beer and food to have. Cool setting and vibe there.

My Husband and I enjoy Park City's Squatters every time we pass by, and we decided to see if SLC was as good - we weren't disappointed!
Although cheerful, our service was a quite slow- but the restaurant was packed. I had the Street Tacos, and my husband had the Fillet. We were with another couple that had the Jumboliah, and the Fish & Chips. (Our food was MUCH better than theirs!)
The perfectly spicy Street Tacos were just like the tasty morsels in Park City that kept us going back - my entire party vowed to order them next time.

We chose Squatters to host our wedding, and we couldn't have been happier! We rented out the top two floors, and it was a beautiful venue that provided everything on site. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and were willing to help out with a few extra steps our wedding required. Not to mention the food and drinks were better than we expected. We'd absolutely use them for a big event again, and we look forward to returning in the future!

Service was great after Keely served me!! Waited at the bar for almost 20 min watching the Sox and Yankees play. Food service was quick and ok. Would have given more stars buy my wait was not justified with all the staff working. Also asked for a table for one and was told the bar was open or it would be a 10-15 min wait with open tables.....

Squatters is a classic brew pub with an amazing atmosphere. You can tell that all of the food is made right there. We got a humus plate that had homemade bread and hummus complete with delicious sun dried tomatoes and feta. The burgers was done just as I requested it, medium-rare, and the fries (garlic) were delicious. Squatters recently bought Wasatch Brewery which means that the beer list is very extensive. They allow you to purchase tasters for $0.50 a piece which is great when trying to decide which beer to get. I'm a guy that likes a hoppier beer so the IPA was perfect for me.

I went here on a Wednesday night and WOW! It was absolutely packed. I waited 25 minutes to be seated. With a wait like this, I am expecting some food and beer to KNOCK MY SOCKS OFF. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. I sat in the corner next to the bar, the booth wasn't comfortable at all. The server was pleasant, however; you could tell she had too many tables to handle, so the service was compromised. I ordered a heff and I must say, I was disappointed in the taste. I thought a brewery would produce a better taste than that.

The good - I took the waitress' recommendation and ordered a turkey burger, and I must say, that was the best turkey burger I have had at a restaurant.

Would I go back, yes. Would it be my first choice, no. If I did choose to go back, it would be strictly because of the taste of that turkey burger. That's why I gave Squatters three stars instead of two!

Service was meh waitress was 100 yrs old and had to constantly sit down. Had to enlist the help of another server. Beer was AWESOME as usual. Food was pretty good considering it was cooked in an airport.

First impression was a big, very generic, trendy-price brewpub. Everything in it looks like it was designed to cater to a target demographic that is more concerned with style than with substance. The substance is mediocre. The beers are light on body and on flavor, the food forgettable. Neither is actually bad, but neither is it any more memorable than what you get at any other faceless forgettable brewpub chain, like Ram or Rock Bottom. I would go here again if I were staying in a nearby hotel, eating on an expense account, and in a hurry. I can't see ever again going out of my way to find this place. In that connection... their place at the airport is about the same, which is good compared to the alternatives at the airport. So yes, I would eat at the airport pub again.

The atmosphere, food, and service here is incredible. One of my favorite places to eat and have a beer when I m downtown Salt Lake City. Huge selection of beer on tap. One of my favorite items on the menu is the nachos with sirloin tips or pulled pork, both are delicious.

Good downtown atmosphere here. Nice selection of unique beers including the more popular nitro brews. Friendly service and the food was pretty good. Balsamic pizza was better than the chicken sandwich.

This is a must for breakfast! We started off with the scones (which are more like binets rather than scones). We had veggie omelet, French toast, brewers breakfast and breakfast burrito. Everything was so good. Their house jam is to die for - you could literally drink it, it s so good!! Price is reasonable. We went during covid so the menu was limited - but we were able to get inside sit down dining - great service and friendly staff.

Service good. Large popular spot. Pulled pork sandwich good. Fries very soggy. Asked for crispy fries. Waitress very understanding. She ordered right up. They came 20 minutes later. Just btw happy with weekday you get. Note only 2 tv's at a very long bar. Lumpur one block away has a tv for every 3 stools. Just sayin

*** New Review 11/9/19 - I still love Squatters Downtown, it still rates 5 stars, however, the menu lacks any true substance. Not sure who change the menu, but they have taken off all of the items that were good. Being in the hospitality business, if you take food items off the menu, you replace them with something. Noting was replaced, so now the menu is very limited on the selections. When you make changes like that, get your staff involved. Your staff is on the front line, ask them for their advice. Most senior management are just sitting behind a desk and looking at reports, making decisions and have the line manager dictate the orders. That is not the way to continue the success of Squatters, we will still come in because of the staff, not because of the food. You have now dropped your level to a few other micro brewery's. The other idea would be get your customers involved that have been coming in to squatters for a long time. I believe that you will start seeing some of your loyal customer shifting to other brewery's,.

The taco salad with grilled tofu, is a nice change of pace. Chelsea is the bomb of a sever, great personality, all around funny. The only thing is you need be careful of the finger nails. If, they change color it can be good or bad depending on the color
