Even though I'm allergic to horses I still work here! The tournaments in the summer are a lot of fun and bring people from around the world. Every year they add more strings of lights for the holidays and put on the Christmas Market to support local mom&pop shops

This place is a really nice area to walk around whether you're a local or a tourist. Lots of events happen around here and if you take a look at their website you can see when events are happening.

This is a beautiful facility. It is very well taken care of with some amazing art. We were not allowed to tour the grounds outside of our event which was quite disappointing. The parts we did see were amazing.

Thanks! Spruce Meadows I ordered BOT fingerless gloves to help with the arthritis in my hands and I received them 3 days earlier then expected. They are warm and comfortable and fit well. I hope they help with the stiffness and aches. Again thank you for being in stock and speedy service. Other Web sites were averaging 6-8 weeks for delivery.

Beautiful location, easy to access and they frequently have family activities. Home to numerous international riding events which brings in riders from around the world. Shuttle service from the Somerset LRT station provides the best and easiest access to guests attending from anywhere in the city. During the Christmas season they have one of the most beautiful light displays in the city.

I cannot commend the staff of this excellent venue enough. From security folk greeting us as we wended our way in, to the chap driving the golf cart that assisted a couple of the less-mobile of our group, and on down. The Southerns have done Calgary proud in creating this magnificent facility.

A couple of days ago, I tried to order tickets for the Master's tournament on Sept 8, 2018. When I went on the website, it said Club International East Tables were $275.00 each. At Check-out, the total was $530.00. i tried to order the tickets by phone, and Nick (the person I was talking to on the phone), told me the itinerary was printed in March, and that the price had gone up. The website still said 275.00, and there was no way I could buy them at that price. The website had not been updated, so I feel I should have been able to buy tickets at the advertised. within five minutes of ending my phone call, the website had been updated to read $500.00! I feel that this is a gross example of very poor business ethics.. Nowhere on the site could I find anything to say that prices are subject to change without notice. I am still upset by this action, and I will not support Spruce Meadows in the future. I even sent an email to SM about this procedure, but I have not heard back yet.

An awesome place to go - admission is only $5 and if there are shows in the international ring those are the best to go to. Eating and drinking there adds up but the grounds are gorgeous and there is a lot to do for kids and adults. Dogs are welcome on leash. Beautiful in summer and winter - check the website for the schedule.

Re MARKT - outrageous shipping fees

Re MARKT - outrageous shipping fees
Just an FYI my daughter spent hours purchasing some of her favourite Christmas items and was shocked at the checkout when the shipping cost was $160.00. I later gave it a try and they wanted $27.00 shipping on a $26.50 order. Save yourself some time and don t bother with this.

Attended the 2018 International Christmas Market. There were 40 new vendors this year. The food is always good. The decorations are great. We have made this a family outing every year. We will come back every year for sure.

We volunteered for a soccer game as ball boys and opening parade flag carriers. Work at the end after game cleanup should have also involved more staff to get it done properly, not just 1 very energetic girl. Too tiring and not enough benefits for the boys involved. Also very long long drive from far NW!

I go to S.M for Cavalry FC matches.
Spruce Meadows is a great facility and a very gracious host for some very picky (and sometimes unappreciative) fans.
Other than a few hiccups they've done a good job taking care of the team and the fans.
Points are lost on a few things though; mostly service and price.
If you haven't been to an event be ready for some sticker shock. Beer and food is pricey and the kiosks run out during really busy games.
Theres a couple spots that have a couple regular staff but for the most part they are rotating and learning as they go so don't expect expedient service or for your order to be right 100% of the time.
I even had one vendor tell me Oxer Ale and Grasshopper are the same thing when they were out of Grasshopper.. :eye_roll:

Spruce Grove is a nice place to walk around and enjoy the equestrian-y landscape; the price of entry is a bit odd considering how little you can do after entering. Everything here has a cost, so it is a wonder why they insist on recouping cost at the gate at all, when basic things like coffee and sandwiches are $8 - $20 depending on where and what you're buying.

About Spruce Meadows

Spruce Meadows: A World-Class Sport and Entertainment Facility

Spruce Meadows is a premier sport and entertainment facility located just outside of Calgary, Alberta. Established in 1975 by the Southern family, Spruce Meadows has become one of the most iconic venues for equestrian sports in North America. With over 500 acres of land, Spruce Meadows offers top-notch facilities for various events such as horse shows, concerts, weddings, corporate events and more.

The Southern family's vision was to create a world-class facility that would attract top riders from around the globe while also providing an exceptional experience for spectators. Over the years, Spruce Meadows has hosted some of the most prestigious equestrian competitions in the world including The Masters CSIO5*, which is part of the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping.

Spruce Meadows' state-of-the-art facilities include six outdoor rings with all-weather footing and two indoor arenas that can accommodate up to 6,000 spectators. The venue also features stabling for over 1,000 horses with modern amenities such as heated barns and wash stalls.

In addition to hosting equestrian events throughout the year, Spruce Meadows also offers a variety of other activities such as guided tours where visitors can learn about its history and see behind-the-scenes areas not normally accessible to the public. There are also several dining options on-site including a restaurant overlooking one of their main competition rings.

One unique aspect about Spruce Meadows is its commitment to sustainability. The venue has implemented several eco-friendly initiatives such as using solar panels to generate electricity and recycling waste materials generated during events.

Apart from being an excellent venue for sporting events or corporate functions; it's also an ideal location for weddings or other special occasions due to its picturesque setting surrounded by rolling hillsides with views towards downtown Calgary skyline.

Overall, Spruce Meadow's reputation speaks volumes about its excellence in providing top-notch facilities that cater both riders' needs while offering an unforgettable experience for visitors alike. It's no wonder why it continues attracting thousands upon thousands every year who come from all corners around North America just to witness this magnificent place firsthand!
