This is the worst place imaginable for mental health care. I was kicked to the streets and I am a veteran. They do not deserve to be open and "helping" people in crisis. Do not and I repeat DO NOT go there. they hold people weeks at a time against their will. They lose thousad dollar phones and steal your cash. Not to mention the autistic man named Mason who is kept in a room 24 7, 7 days a week. they drug him severely up so he will cooperate with being yelled at all day and night. This is disgusting

was a great job at first no problems until sue markham became housekeeper supervisor.used to like her a lot before she took on the hassle of being supervisor, she is absolutely horrible has zero skills of handling business.asked her to come to me about any problems or complications ,but instead she continued to report to other employees.so the first initial time firing me she complained I wasn t cleaning properly but she didn t explain or couldn t show me the proof, then tying to do so a second time through the same employee.then later fires the other employee because (sue)slipped up and stated on the phone this little mf showed up then after she relized it wasn t who she Intended to call ,she immediately hung up the phone up.she did not have any logical reasoning for firing me nor the other employee ,and not to mention she hasn t done her full job as a supervisor yet, constantly getting help from other employees and then complaining about what little work she has.housekeeping has gone down hill the first week she took the position!
You should come here if you wanna be more mentally damaged when you leave than you are when you go in, they tried to hurt me many times, but that never worked, you cannot hurt someone messed up as me without facing the consequences, also I have dirt on a lot of the staff including the owner who leaves the replies so hmu on ig @vlxde.exe if you want info
I went here for residential and I will say it was kind of nice. The main thing that I didn t like is that when I was injured by another patient and was in pain the next day, the nurse practitioner kept giving me muscle relaxers and didn t really do anything expect say here you go this will work and it never worked. It turned out when I got home and was able to get an X-ray that I have mild scoliosis. Another thing is that some of the higher up people need to start paying their staffs medical bills if they were injured on the job. Some of the staff here are not that great. When I just needed to calm down and vent in the quiet room and I requested to go the first staff member told me that I couldn t go because there was no crisis. Another staff member came and took me because they knew that me asking was a giant step in my treatment. All the therapist and most MHA s are wonderful. The kitchen staff are amazing but do have their days where they are upset and then everyone judges them off of that. I had retainers broken here and they were never replaced. Just be cautious if your child is going to come here. In addition if you want to get help go somewhere else, because if you come here you will most likely be traumatized. I thought this was going to be helpful not at all. They don t answer phone calls that much and almost never reply to emails unless you threaten a lawsuit. This place hardly digs into medical problems. I had 9cm ball of poop and they wouldn t do an X-ray just made sure I had a bowel movement every day. Want to be healthy? Go somewhere else. Also most of my peers were not autistic.
My son has been at Springbrook for over three years now. We tried two different facilities before this one. My son has made major improvements during his time there. He calls me twice a week, his unit director calls weekly with updates, the nursing staff contacts me any time there is an illness or injury and once a month there is a call with the psychiatrist and all departments to update and discuss any changes that need to be made. Highly recommend this facility for anyone with an Autistic child that needs help.
This facility was amazing to work with, being from Idaho and having a very young autistic youth age 8, I was fearful of placing him at a facility. Springbrook has an amazing staff from the bottom up. Communication is frequent and clear, staff knowledge of autism treatment is amazing. This facility changed our lives and I would highly recommend it.
I have worked here for over two years. The facility is the only one of its kind and we truly strive to care for and treat kids with autism and psychological conditions achieve their best level of function. Through a team effort that is unlike any other model I've ever seen, a patient's mental status is addressed from both a medication and therapeutic standpoint. Behaviors of all kinds are addressed by behavioral analysts (BCBAs), and plans are put in place. All patients receive group and individual therapy including family sessions via Zoom. They all receive group recreational, occupational, and speech therapies (once a week on the residential side and 6 times a week on Acute) and they all have school during the week year-round via Einstein Academy with live teachers. Each residential patient has a 30 minute conference call treatment team meeting where professionals, patients and caregivers discuss status and plans for treatment and, once the patient has left the room, discharge. It is weekly on the Acute side. I have never seen this level of collaboration in any facility or setting I have ever worked in. Professionals also talk with each other as needed as they are all in one building...this is unprecedented in most cases. We as professionals also have great access to information and the nurse practitioners and doctor who treat them which leads to a better outcome. We also have dieticians and an excellent cafeteria staff who address dietary needs. Each child is treated individually as we all know that they are individuals with unique special needs. This is not a cookie-cutter approach and is a challenge, but I've never had the priveledge of working so closely with professional staff and caregivers to get these kids as close to their best as possible to go home or to a lower level of care. Autism with comorbid psychological conditions is what we do...and we're good at it.
This place has had an array of lawsuits, My child escaped this facility and was able to remain out for over 24 hours in a metropolitan area, they then have his name and photo to the police without permission and when they found him he was taken from the police by two employees into their personal Cadillac without seatbelts. They did not give him shoes for six months, he was not allowed to be in the bathroom alone, the therapist repeatedly yelled at him during phone sessions and other children have been able to manufacture shanks out of plastic objects using their bathroom grout to sharpen it, this is not a mental health facility, this is a way to teach your child how to be violent and aggressive. It s not like they have an option when the staff will bet on the outcome of the fights.
After many tries of getting into different locations, we came across Springbrook and our son was admitted there in 2018. It was wonderful. The treatment team, the staff, everybody came in with a genuine concern for our son a total love for him. It s not something you would expect when you go into a treatment facility. The respect, the caring atmosphere; not just from one or two but from the therapists, the nurses, everybody that we talked to the doctors everyone had a genuine concern for our son. And we appreciated that because we d needed help for so long with him.
