Sportsman's Golf Course Review

Please please fix the unlevel tee boxes. Add some dirt and level them off. The practice green should be mowed the same time as the other 18 greens.

Past its prime . . . average in every way . . . greens in decent shape, traps OK . . . love the fact they offer Tee Time pass holders a free round (cart fee only).

Horrible staff. Horrible course. Just go to bumblebee down the road and hit balls so you can save money.

Poorly maintained course. Half the bunkers are overgrown with weeds and labeled "ground under repair" and have been this way for some time. Tee boxes unclean (stones, sticks, etc.). Pay a little more and go somewhere else.

Great course for the average to golfer. Prices are reasonable and the staff is always friendly. It s my go-to course for after work weekday play.

Staff was rude and acted as if they had better things to do, would rather go somewhere else

Very fun golf course with great holes, its $10 for 18 holes walking (if you're 15) which is a bit more expensive if you're older but still affordable. The cart paths are a little rough but the golf carts were fine and it overall was a fun experience. Been there 3 times and will probably go back again

Rangers need to patrol the course more. Played yesterday afternoon and course was empty until we got to the back nine. A fivesome (divided to 3 and 2) were in front of us waiting at hole 10 while they finished eating their lunch. When we approached they teed off and assured us they were fast players. The one guy took 2 tee shots both 50 yards, and was all over the course on subsequent holes - taking time to find his ball on the out of bounds areas. Every hole they would meet up with the 3 in front at the tees to talk. When we asked them to play together to speed things up they got belligerent and criticized our play which was funny because we outdrove them (we are husband/wife senior citizens and they were both about 30 males). When we asked them to play together, they made a point to flag down the 3 in front and told them to slow down more. One guy even sat on the green to make a point. We never saw a ranger.

Course is decent. Bartender is rude and unpleasant.

We had a pleasant day on the course, which we play often. We thought we d end our day at the bar watching the end of the PGA tournament on TV there. What we found on TV was a movie. The bartender never asked if we wanted to watch something different... I guess because she was engrossed in her movie. Wouldn t you think golf would be on TV at a golf clubhouse? Very disappointing. She also seemed a little pushy about collecting money from customers too.

Played 18 and although this has been an exceptionally rainy season in central PA, the course was in terrific shape! Pro shop and club house folks were very helpful and friendly. Will visit again soon!

A great value and the staff is always friendly. The course could be kept in nicer shape sometimes, but its by no means unplayable. Overall it's a great course to play in the Harrisburg area

Absolutely beautiful course. Big thanks to Heather the manager and the maintenance staff for keeping such a wonderful course. We will definitely be back!

Very well manicured course - greens were a good medium fast. Very straight with minimal hazards. Excellent staff!

I love this course and the people who work here, what a gem!! My dad and I come here all the time. He likes to play from the short tees cause he does not have the distance he once had, he makes me play from the tips cause I can really bomb it off the tees. Challenging and forgiving just how we like it , is always in great shape. Sportsman's can rival any course double its value no doubt about it. You would think just having a beautiful course was enough but the staff inside is some of the most friendliest people I have ever met at a golf course, I love spending my money at places like this!

Great course to play. Challenging layout for some holes. Considering the situation the conditions of the course were great. Greens were in great shape. All around good day out.

Nice golf course. Well maintained and the course is nice for those who want to work on their long game. Price for a round of golf is a good value as well.
