Very friendly and helpful staff. Answered all my questions and advised me on what was available and what suited my personal preference. I was greeted in a friendly/helpful manner several times by different employees as I browsed the store. Will definitely be giving them my business in the future.

Sportco is a very good sporting goods store. They stock the equipment you need to be successful. This is a local outfit catering to local hunting and fishing. Not like the national chains, that carry a bunch of junk.

2/10 experience with the gun counter. I purchased a firearm back in February. I wanted a Walther PPQ 9mm pistol for home protection and target practice. They did not have it in stock (which is fine). They were able to order it for me and I would have to come back when it arrived to fill out my background check as they needed a serial number to register it to me (again which is fine). I come back a week or so later to do so, they informed me that it could take 3-15 business days before local law enforcement could accomplish this as I did not have my CPL (which again, understandable). My background check comes back two weeks later and I get a voicemail from someone at the gun counter stating it s all good I can pick it up. I wasn t in any hurry so I let it go a couple weeks. Just this Monday I get a second phone call reminding me to pick up my firearm. I ve put it off long enough so I ll go ahead and pick it up this Saturday. I get there and I meet with Tom. Hi I m here to pick up . He retrieved my order and met me at the computer. He then has to go to the back for a while, only to return and tell me that I m four days late, and had a 30 day pickup window from when my background check was sent out. I exclaim What?? Why didn t I know this?? Why didn t anyone tell me?? He just stares blankly at me with no answer. And says something like that s why we called you a second time . I explain again that no one said anything to me about a 30 day window (with the 15 days it took to get the background check, it was really just 15 days). He continues on that I need to input my background check a second time as my 30 day window has expired. This law makes sense, rules are rules - but this is an important piece of information to give out, it shouldn t be this difficult to communicate. Tom wouldn t even deal with me after I re input my background check information, he got his lead man to come help me. It was break time for Tom. The lead man tried to make me feel better by stating you re not the first and you won t be the last or some such. No kidding I am not the first and won t be the last! POOR COMMUNICATION. I wish I would have saved those two voicemails so I could have called the MIC of this store to have some solid foundation. Unfortunately this google review will have to do for now. For anyone reading this who is purchasing a firearm and waiting for their background check: YOU HAVE THIRTY DAYS. There I did their job for them.

I've been going to this establishment for several years never purchased the membership could I didn't need it and I didn't go as often as I do now. However, lately I go down there two to three times a month now to check for ammo, targets, camping gear, and And just overall miscellaneous things that will help me in this date and time. Sense I found myself going down there more recently I purchased a membership online about 5 months ago and going in in standing in those long lines at times I watch the lines I watch the cashiers sometimes I see they ask people for ID When a ask him if they have a membership or not how ever what I have noticed over the last several months of going down there most of the people that I see in line that they ask for ID for when I have a membership are people of colour and I was in there today November 17, 2020 and I was asked for my ID but yet the 3 white males that went in front of me and put in their membership numbers were not ask for ID that is a problem for me as a black male in America why are we targeted ask questionable about the credentials that we have Or the memberships that we have yet anyone that looks like the cashier or resembles the cashiers family Get a free pass and is off the top believed that they have a membership in there not using their friends membership number and I even asked the cashier today why do you need to see my id you didn't ask that white guy that just came though your line... I am a legal gun owner I am a father I am a brother I am Uncle I am a son. So to the sportso management if the employees are going to ask for ID for particular customers in order to keep your customer range wide and plentiful you need to instruct your employees to enforce and ask for ID from every single customer that comes to that line that has a membership black white Spanish Indian pink green purple or blue I don't give a good damn what colour they are you need to enforce this because this will make you lose many many customers

Friendly and knowledgeable staffs, great prices, and abundance of stuff. What more can you ask for?

We drove to many, and I mean many places to find out outdoor gears. Finally we stopped at Sportco before they closed. Found our tents and many more. There were two young gentlemen working at the tent section, and they were very helpful in helping us.

We made out camping trip plus more. Stop here first before you go elsewhere.
