A chain pub but it was friendly and the the food was good and excellent value for money. Separate vegetarian menu.

Sorry but as Head Chef of Liverpool Football Club you would expect fellow professionals to get timing right and temperatures of food not forget items on your plate and demand why it took so long for a half empty establishment to deliver your food and be cold

What can I say? Brilliant. we had the carvery, was it the best food or the best choices of veg etc? no but it was just like home cooked food without the washing up. Lovely home feeling to the place and staff very friendly. 3 choices of meat, which was very tasty, gammon, turkey and beef. Second time we have been and it definitely wont be the last. It is highly recommended you book as it gets very busy. Well worth going.

Good food, reasonable prices. There is outdoor seating here and usually plenty of seats for everyone. I'd recommend booking around seasonal times to avoid disappointment.
There is a large indoor and a reasonably large outdoor play area for the kids to keep them occupied. There is plenty of free parking too.
The staff have always been friendly and helpful. I'd recommend a visit! Find it on the edge of Boston :)

Seems like the microwave has forgotten how to cook, ordered food at the bar and within 6 minutes the food was at the table. And as for the onion rings, did they use a crematorium to Cook them. And a grilled tomato that's just been cut in half and lobbed on the plate.

Another pleasant visit, reasonably busy for a sunday afternoon, fabulous carvery, good food, great staff, very reasonable pricing especially the carvery if visiting as a family, plenty of parking, what's not to like

Good choice of pub favourites. Food was piping hot and good value for money. The spirit of endeavour was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Toilets were immaculate. The place is big enough that even at peak times of the day you should be able to get a table

Food very reasonably priced, nothing to write home about but well exceeded expectations given the cost. Beer selection poor, just a selection of boring lagers. Staff appeared disinterested and service nonexistent. Waited 10 mins at bar to order food whilst a handful of staff milled around. Waited 30 mins to have plates cleared and dessert for little one brought out.

All you can eat breakfast with CHARCOAL GRILLED Bacon disgusting and flavourless. Maybe its to stop people eating lots of bacon - Well it definitely works Bring back the traditional way of cooking it. BACON SHOULD TASTE LIKE BACON!

Absolute Shite....
Went for a meal yesterday for my mother in-laws birthday.
It was a hot and warm day so i decided to have the chicken and bacon ceasar salad.
Bacon was almost cut in to strips, large bit of bacon with cuts along it.
Over done it with the dressing but this did help cover up the taste of the soapy tasting gem lettuce..

Fantastic and really enjoyable meal ,First class and service was excellent too.
I can not fault this place.

The staff are friendly but the food is very poor. All the food was overcooked and dry and had bits missing and mostly cold. Only good things were the desserts. We stopped going there a few years ago because the food was horrible and after tonight I think it'll be another few years til we try again. What a shame

We all enjoyed our meals they were tasty and plenty. We did have rather a long wait and our orders weren't quite right. Quickly sorted though to our complete satisfaction.

Terrible food ...the skillet was so hot I couldn't touch my food for over 15 mins by this time my steak was over cooked my scampi was like rubber and chard on the underneath and my food was covered in black bits as the skillet was far from clean ..

Visited today as my daughter wanted to go to Fuzzy Ed's. Unfortunately the place was dead and we left after a short amount of time. The Spirit offers free play on Tuesdays and everyone very much takes advantage of that so can only assume it's pretty dead on other days too. Food was 'ok' but the fish goujons were a little too oily for me and the baguette had been microwaved so went very chewy when it had cooled. The place could do with a revamp too as some of the seating is worn away and looking very tired. All in all... Kind of what i expected but nothing special at all.

Good food, reasonably priced. Family restaurant. The model ships provide unusual decoration. The decor is a bit dated but serviceable and the menu was diverse enough and not just burgers and steaks brought sizzling to the table. Good value.
Worth stopping there instead of sitting in Boston's rush hour traffic jam!
It has carpet so not as noisy as places which haven't and the canned music though well chosen was a bit too loud for some of our party. I'll be back.

Our first venture out since lock down and I have to say I was under whelmed by the visit. Good social distancing was in place but very surprised that the serving staff were not wearing face masks or face shields as they are leaning over the customers attending the tables. The food was strange in so far as the Lasagne tasted more like cottage pie with oregano to make it taste slightly more Italian and pasta on top, not beef in a rich tomato and wine base with Bechamel Sauce and pasta layers. The cheesecake desert again was odd, although tasty it was dry and crumbly not the soft, smooth and creamy filling you would normal expect. I doubt that we will visit again

Newly decorated, updated menu. We both had Hunters Chicken which now comes on a bed of onions on a sizzling skillet. Very nice. Hope other items on the menu are of the same quality.

Meal was lovely, I asked for a diet pepsi they didn't ask how big and served me a pint I said I didn't order a pint and was told I've served it now.

Thought would try as not been here for ages. Love the new decor and seating. Food was great and so was the service. Was greeted with a smile and was so relaxing x will definitely come back soon

I been here many times for food also take my son 16 months with me always free entrance to children zone. But today Sunday 4 December

And last Sunday we came it free no charges
She not agree then we paid. I would like to make sure come back to asking staff in front of the bar she Desing table for customers name Sophia I got information should be free entrance she let me go to talk with lady who looking children zone. The lady so engy she said no and go to speak with her manager

Okay that fine I can pay and cancel my table
Go home . If manager can not Desing any thing
Always agree with staff where your stantdard
Owner should not pay for manager just pay for staff they can Desing every thing . you will got a lot of profit from children zone not from food and drinks

Sorry not very good. Burger and chips Luke warm had to send back. I was given a replacement which was hot but it spoilt my experience and has put me off.Staff very obliging though, they were very nice.

Food was very good, atmosphere was nice, reasonable prices, restrooms was clean and well maintained, nothing wow happened however so this is why marked as 4 stars. Thank you for a lovely meal. Would definitely go again on a journey home from the coast.

Much better than before had a lovely breakfast sausage was nice this time. Price good staff really nice ,only one guy looked ruff serving don't know if he is the owner but could of smartened up and had a shave,but everyone else looked great.

Had to be a 5. This is how Spoonies should be. Clean, friendly, fast, nice surroundings, cosy (very busy on Sunday due to carvery and tables reserved all over) lots of parking. The food is pub food but is well put together/tasty/decent ingredients (try the beef/ale pie) and amazing value. Always tempted to stop by!

Had a lovely meal last night, couldn't fault the quality for the price. Social distancing measures explained brilliantly.

Pleasent staff and a wide range of drinks available, more than most pubs. The food is cheaper probably than anywhere else I've ever been but you get what you pay for, hence 3 stars only.
