Spirit of Endeavour Review

Meals took half hour from ordering to being brought to the table, sweet and sour chicken, and classic mixed grill was ok but the stilton and mushroom chicken was no better than a child's portion

All the food apart from steaks are microwaved and burnt

We went on Saturday for tea. Place was unusually quiet. I had the chicken and BBQ rib combo. Well all I can say it was ok. The biggest thing they forget to tell you on the menu that it comes served on a sizzling plate and the meat on a bed of onions. Well it totally ruined it for me. I like onions but a bowl full was way too much. Chicken and ribs were not that hot considering being on a sizzling plate. Hubby had gammon which was ok but everything could've just been a bit warmer. Could understand if it was really busy but it was very very quiet.

Food was good and the prices are ok. 2.45 for a pint. I advise booking as you could wait over an hour just for a carvery, but would be worth it.

Toilet floor wet needs a urinals looking at food ok ba staff ok

In a group of 7. 1 meal was served ages after the others no explanation. Doonbar beer was cloudy

Food was ok. Nothing special although it did come out quickly even when it was really busy!

Food is OK, service pretty poor. the softplay is completely separate from the restraunt and needs to be paid for separately and no food is allowed in there.

Steak was a poor cut fatty and tough.
From what we ordered three items were missing
Onion rings were ok
Garlic bread burnt

Not great wheelchair accessible areas but mostly accessible main family eating area up one step.

Nice stopping point in my journey food was good quick service with friendly staff

Grate for families and unbelievable for kids foods good as well

Food and drink has got a lot better recently I would return x

Been here about 5 times now as always a nicely ran and organised pub and restaurant, quick, smooth and prompt service. Food cooked with experience. Looking forward to returning as always.

11 of us called in on spec for a birthday meal. Found a large table to fit all 11 guests, ordered food which came out altogether, nice and hot and tasty. Good value too!

Was pleasantly surprised at how good the carvery was. Would definitely go again.

Met some friends for lunch nice food but where has the veg and side salads gone

Staff were good ordered 3 meals all said they were of a good quality. pub was clean and we had no issues we were there early evening

One of the better Sizzlers the food was actually nice, not just edible

Good Pub and good food staff are really nice, the pub is also very clean as always if your passing call in and see for yourself

Food is good and it caters for children with a play park

Meal wasn't very good beer ok just small portion served .. chicken stack was nasty horrible with all the fried onions on bottom and dried up bacon...

Great food, service runs well. Waiters are a pleasure to be served by. Deffo come regularly for special occasions

Starter was fine, but the main was cold, as if it had been cooked at the same time as the starter and left in the side.

I went to the breakfast buffet and although the food was good and fairly priced, after the initial dozen or so people went to the buffet, the eggs ran out. It took another 15 minutes for more eggs to be cooked and before they arrived, the bacon ran out. So yet another 15 minute wait. Poor planning and attention to detail spoiled what was otherwise a pleasant breakfast!

Good food and reasonably priced drinks. Lacking in atmosphere since the refit.

Was ok but wouldnt rush back. Went as a big party but seating was unsociable.

We were all seated quickly upon arrival. Food was brought out quite quickly after ordering. Staff were very friendly & helpful however felt that the tables were too close.

It was ok and plenty of room but my wife is in a wheelchair and not a lot of room in some places just to get round as there seems more tablets put in.

I really liked this place! Very spacious and have it s unique vibe. Food variety is typical for English pub/restaurant in itself food was tasty and portion were big, price like it wasn t too cheap or too expensive but right in the middle especially now when now from Tuesday to Friday it 50% off. Also place well prepared in terms of social distancing, track & trace.

Nice family restaurant, quite loud but caters well for families with small children. Lots of meal choices and drinks at reasonable price.

Was offered a table to eat outside the Toilet area... there was no beef at 1 15pm the other two meats gammon & turkey the gammon looked like it had been shredded and had no taste the turkey was dry one of the worst meals we have had here in 2 years.
Complained there reply was sorry no complementary meal.
Place has gone to Pot very disappointed !!!!

Main carvery food was delicious, although had no beef left up on my arrival , and the dessert wasn't the best . Overall was nice and would defo recommend.

No welcome on arrival bar lady barely said two words to you .. packed in like sardines so no space for conversation and food was ok but not the best. Would not reccomend the place

It's not bad. All the food is your standard chain-pub cook-from-frozen and associated easy-on-the-wallet prices. I like the decor and ambiance over other chain pubs and staff are always friendly. Lots of parking and decent sized bays if you're precious about your paintwork

The restaurant was very cosy, family friendly, with tables that has large wooden wall puzzles for the children (big and small) to keep them occupied, and free individually packed crayons and puzzle leaflets.
Food was amazing, I had "Blue and Black Sirloin steak" and service was very quick with friendly staff. Grandchildren even enjoyed their lunch, and emptied their plates.
It was recommended to me, and I would most certainly recommend you to try this place.
There's a bonus too!!!!!
A children's soft play centre too so spent a couple or 3 hours in there too.

Its ok. food hot but steak not cooked as well as i wanted.
