Not a bad place to work, good people and decent management
I currently work here and it is such a breath of fresh air in comparison to my last job that was very high stress.
I had a great team. The managers, the supervisors, the senior tech agents all were great to work with. Sometimes a team can accomplish more then the individual. Only thing I didn't like was the high prices of the cafeteria.
You cN tell it's a go contractor by lack of personal attention or interactions
Been here for 6 years, and have no intentions to leave
This is by far the worst place that I have ever worked at. The management, terrible. One reviewer did mention the 15 days of PTO you get, but most of the time your time off requests get denied. Schedule changes frequently (In a 9 month period of time I worked 3 different schedules). The insurance they give you is awful. Yes they have a cafeteria, but the food made there is food that you would make at home and they charge you a lot for it. (I paid $3 for a baked potato with sour cream and pace salsa on top). The opportunity for advancement is sparse and I noticed favoritism when the opportunities did come up. The pay was sub par and the raises given were small. In the same amount of time at my new place of employment, I have better insurance, I have received two raises of $1.50 each, (and I started getting paid $2.00 more to begin with) making my pay $5.00 more than what I got paid there, the management listens to me, and wants me to do well. I will never work for this company again and encourage all to run far from this place.
Wake up and put your cold feet to the floor and don't look back... We got work to do.
This is a pretty decent place to work. You help assist a variety of clients in the Enterprise environment with a variety of needs. You are usually sectioned into teams based on the client or clients that are you are going to support. There are a variety of shifts available for those who need a position either in the day, evening, or grave. Managers are attentive to both your success and the teams success and interact often as does the Tier 2 technicians. The pay is also pretty great for the work. Would recommend applying here!
You can learn a lot if you take advantage of their classes and try to get on other projects but management is a joke.
Good coworkers, but Unisys is not a company that does well with humanity, regardless of what your issue is if you need to call in absent (sick, family issue, weather), you get a point towards attendance. You have a total of 8 points, none of which can be earned back save for special occasions, and managers are unable to work with you if something does come up.
Good place to work. Environment and the people I worked with wasn't bad. Upper management could use some help in managing (ironic).
I was here for two years, moved up to Level 2 support and realized the team managers would pawn work off such as coaching agents and other managerial work.
I was trained for taking calls for the service desk for 13 clients by staring over peoples' shoulders for a week while they took calls. When Novartis was added to the list of clients which I had to take, I was given 2 weeks training, which I was thankful for. When Novartis was added to the list of clients assigned to me, although they made sure that all my tools for Novartis were working while I was training, they had taken all my tools for Novartis and given them to someone else.
I was taking calls from some of the most hateful people who I have had the displeasure to deal with without so much as the ticketing system, so that I couldn't even write requests for someone else to perform the necessary tasks.
For the first month of my taking calls for any other project, I had nothing except for the ticketing system, though I had put in requests for the necessary tools. The job is cake; it is an easy job that you only need a modicum of technical knowledge and the tools to do. I was actively seeking a different job immediately after they took my tools for Novartis away, so I didn't put in a request that they give me tools again.
Worst place I ever worked. They treat everyone like dirt. Your immediate managers and supervisors can be nice, but upper management and even HR, treat everyone like a number. You are expendable here even if you are doing a great job. McDonalds or Walmart is a better workplace than Unisys!
I have been working here for the past 8 months. So far everyone in the building seems to be friendly and knowledgeable. I have had no issues with management and have become sort of acquaintances with a few of the supervisors around here. The atmosphere is friendly and you are paid well for the work that you do. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get experience with customer service as well as technical support.
eeeeeeeeeeeh. I mean they have a cafeteria so thats kind of cool? Otherwise place is kind of a disaster. Which is basically call center 101 but what can ya do?
Company can't maintain there client contracts and give promotion to drug addicts.
This is a great company to work for. If you like IT or technology, and enjoy helping others fix their problems, this is the place for you.
Working for Unisys is a great experience, my manager and coworkers treat me well and we have mutual respect to each other. we have fun sometimes, sharing food and our experience.
Training was terrible. The person who trained me admitted that he provided "crappy training and that i feel bad" if i was not a technical person i would have fell flat on my face at this job. Pay was fairly decent but the treatment of agents was not that great. For a company as large as unisys I would expect better training procedures than other call centers like say Alorica? I worked there too and felt more prepared to hit the production floor than i did here.
Worked for over 2 years for this company. Training was extremely basic if you could get it at all. By that I mean that I was expected to support products that I could not be authorized to use or look at. Work hours are a struggle to get anything worth having a personal life with. Time off is fought tooth and nail by management. For example: A very personal friend who also worked in the same department had to use several days of FMLA to care for his pregnant and critically ill wife. They attempted to deny the request until a letter by the Utah Labor Commission was given to upper management threatening legal action. Payroll is regularly "missed" for some people, even for months on end. Before I left, I had found that my own paycheck time had been miscalculated by payroll for as far back as I could see (that calendar year). The insurance was extremely costly with very poor coverage (Without insurance we paid about $650/month for prescriptions of 2 people. With insurance costs added in, we paid about $600/month) High performance will likely get you more work and higher demands on you rather than increased chance for advancement as more often than not, "friends" of management are more likely to get the promotion than someone who has been there longer. I was consistently in the top 3 performers of the entire department and because I worked hard was left in that position to make the company more money by making my team look good, rather than allow me to work towards any management level.
I have only worked for one company worse. And they had cockroaches in the cubicle walls. (Alori**) I DO NOT recommend working for this company or employing them in any capacity. You are merely a drone-cog in the machine they care nothing for pushing until you quit and then replacing.
Worked here for almost 2 years. If you are in between jobs, I highly recommend this place for a job. If you are looking for something to get comfy in, you are better off some where else after a year. Plenty of businesses pay several more an hour for less work. Use term "helpdesk" or "help desk" when looking for job.
This job is infamous for giving employees additional work and consider it a "privilege" to do so. You as a chum, will accept for hopes that you will get a dollar raise...6 months later.
People who get promoted are notorious for quitting in a short time span due to the workload and sometimes depending on the schedule, they actually pay you less before you got the position.
Management is not the worst or the best....it's a call center.
The 7-11 account here is a miserable experience. The management will lie to you about what you do, your schedules, anything to get you in the door. Also, if you are a contractor, they can fire you on a whim.
The management also has very entitled/hypocritical behavior, constantly doing things that they don't allow the general agents to do, and then yelling at agents if they ever do something similar.
IE - reading a news article while you wait for a call, or coming back 1 minute late from a break. ALL of the higher teir agents and managers watch videos, read the web, etc, and at least one manager takes many extra breaks, but if a regular agent does anything, you will get yelled at.
The scheduling is a joke. I was hired on for one schedule, and then 2 days later told if I didn't take this other (much worse) schedule then I'd have to leave. I also saw brand new hires getting schedules that people that had been there for more than 1 year had requested. Totally screwing over existing agents because the management doesn't like them.
The list goes on and on of how terrible the management at this place is.
DO NOT work for them.
Hi there, Ive been trying to reach someone who is locally responsible for this facility.
I have a remodeling and janitorial business, Id love to talk some business but for now I haven't had success in hearing back from them.
Thank you
Worst management in the planet. I can t believe this place hasn t been shut down by a law suit.
I liked working there. Unisys paid me well for the work I did and it had been a very good fit for my skill set. Management was always professional, reasonable, and helpful each time we interacted. There were only two managers (whom I will not name) that I could really complain about, and that was in the beginning and mid part. It was easy work, but it got too repetitive after 3 years in the same position... and I had been denied every advancement opportunity I applied and interviewed for, for over a year, so I decided to move on.
easygoing place to work. the company does everything they can do to help people hired on
Not only do you work for incompetent people, helping idiots perform basic tasks on their computers, but in the summertime you also get to be eaten by an infestation of mosquitoes inside the building.
Best place I ve ever worked. I love my job and the people I work with. I m given the opportunities to grow within the company. They took a chance on me. I was able to get out of the customer service based call center and actually learn how to become a technical support agent. I am beyond grateful for this. It s truly changed my life.
