We ve had our miniature St. Berdoodle since 2016 and she is the sweetest girl ever. Very healthy and have not had one issue. I would say that our communication with this breeder was just ok but the puppy we received from them has been terrrific.

We recently purchased a dog from Dakota Winds Ranch. My first call I had suspicions that this may be a very large scale breeding operation - I had some simple questions that could not be answered.

My husband and I talked long and hard before purchasing our dog - we thought of it as more of a rescue than anything (she was a dog used for breeding and was being retired).

I am glad we purchased the dog we did - but at 4 1/2 years old she is missing teeth, is very easily scared and is very shy. I look into her sad eyes and wonder what kind of life she had before we got her. I suspect it was not a very good one.

My husband and I still discuss whether what we did was morally right nor not. After all, our money is now in the hands of a large scale breeder who we suspect does not share the same ethics we have. But one dog is out of there and now has a very happy home.

We will not be using this breeder again and hope that all individuals looking to buy a mixed breed think long and hard about where they get it and ask LOTS of questions and decide for themselves. We will be going to a humane society next time around where our money goes towards a cause we support.

Also, we paid extra money to have our dog "trained," I would not recommend this - the training was minimal at best.

Our dog, having been delivered to us after 9 months, has social anxiety and awkwardness with new people in our house.
