Maybe I'm too picky but I was disgusted with the mold, lack of basic safety features like test and tag, thermostat missing from heater, peeling paint and more. See photos for proof.
Really disappointing motel. There has been no maintenance done on this establishment and everything is very tired. When we spoke to the reception staff about our issues there was no sense of urgency. Window without a latch(not secure), front door would not shut the next morning, bathroom mouldy and stunk from the dampness, bathroom door would not slide shut, hair-dryer didn't work, light broken, no free wifi(rather 'affordable'), and the swimming pool is actually a duck pond! The positive is that it's a great location and handy to everything.
Standard motel fare. Kitchen facilities well kept and housekeeping is prompt and friendly. The WiFi signal is weak though. Nothing breakthrough but nothing much to complain about either. Will book again for its price in the city.

Shabby. We were also appalled that when we returned shortly after checking out to retrieve a near full bottle of vodka from the room that they claimed it had been thrown out yet the rest of the rubbish was there and the room still in the process of being cleaned. Dishonest in our opinion.

The place itself was good, good spacious rooms and it was nice and clean. The staff at reception could definitely be warmer and more welcoming. Had very loud people park the campervan outside our windows, they were making noise all night long. I suggested to have no parking signs there, but not sure if they understood what u was saying.
Nothing fancy, but great for the price. We paid a little extra and got the spa room which was lovely to relax in after travelling for a week or so. The lady at reception was very friendly and welcoming, and there are lots of cafes around the place for an early morning coffee!
For just 100 nzd a day It's a great deal. You get 2 bed rooms and 4 beds. Will definetly stay here again once I visit Christchurch again.
Nice little place. The pictures of the website represent the rooms better then what it is. But for its price it is a nice little place. Shower could be improved.
Not very impressed. water damage in bathroom basically lent on it and my hand went straight through the wall!! putting a massive hole in it. thankfully i didn't get charged as u can clearly see theres massive water damage all over the wall. also earwigs in the bed!! The room smelt like cat piss have no idea why since it says no pets.. so over all my opinion is aboustlotly rubbish.. not a good experience..
Room was clean and well presented and staff were helpful. Despite being a city centre location there was very little noise from the near by road or other guests.

Do not book this motel if you are wanting to make use of the pool and spa. The photos on the website must be very old as the pool now doesn't have water in it and the spa was cold and slimy with no gazebo on top like pictured in the photos. Was false advertising not impressed.
Was very clean. Comfy beds. Sports and movie channel's and at a great price!
We came before the check-in time. They allowed me to park the car there. We stayed in the ground floor. Room is clean but you can hear any single step on the second floor.
Super nice. We had a big room with kitchen right next to the pool. It was very clean, nice kitchen and a nice bed. The service was super nice and we had place for our big Van. Totally worth the price und near II the center. Good location.

Very good value for money. 15 minutes walk from the city center and only 5 minutes from Hagley Park. Possibility to leave luggage at the reception during the day.
Great place to stay! Clean and tidy! Beautiful structure! And they gave us an upgrade of the room :) The only thing was there wasn't enough parking.
Excellent bed had a really good sleep. Shower was the best I've had in a motel.. only thing it could be a bit bigger. Only criticism is no bucket in bathroom.
I didn't stay here in the end because I booked the wrong dates but the service I received was amazing they didn't have a cot available so they rang another motel and sorted us a place for the night thank you so much we will be staying next time we come to christchurch
Good motel, booked 2 bedroom apartment and was very impressed with the space and amenities in the rooms. Warm bedding and heaters in every room. Double shower with ample hot water. Ground floor so was safe for kids. Close 2 everything, would definitely recommend.

Modern feeling room with huge amounts ta of space. Everything you need in the rooms. Genuinely good value. Wonderful location. Truly helpful staff. Only possible negative is, as a 6"1 rugby player the shower was a little snug. But well made up for by its power and ease of getting the right temperature.

Went to stay here to get the experience of watching the famous Christchurch aves then I found out that this motel is why there dieing then when I went to book a room and saw a cockroach by the door I wouldn t touch this place with a 10 foot barge pole didn t end up staying because of how rude the workers are

Someone tried using my credit card to book a room and then abused me because I would pay the $100. They then sent me an absolutely disgusting txt message. So would never recommend or stay there.

Booked this motel room for two nights 3 weeks in advance, Once arrived after our 8hour drive she told us that the room had been cancelled and already booked out , No messages , calls , emails too let us know our booking was cancelled. Terrible Service , Wouldn't recommended for anyone to stay
Unfortunately nothing like the motel description. Advertised that they had a swimming pool, but clearly the pool had not been cleaned or filled and used for several months. Room had a big hole in the wall. Springs had completely gone in the couch, so they had just covered it with another topper pad. No fans or ventilation in bathroom. No storage for bikes. Also very noisy at night and early hours of morning as rubbish trucks would come in an empty skips from the restaurants next door. We booked in January was hot, so thought the pool was a winner for the kids. No such luck. The hole place just looked very run down, compared to photo's on their website. Disappointing!

The location is very good and you can walk to the Christchurch Botanic Gardens on a short walk. However, since the hotel is located beside the road, the sound of the vehicle is still heard in the room. The person who is sleeping may have to choose carefully. I personally did not sleep well. There are some in the room, even the electric cookers that Asian people cook. The only drawback is that the induction cooker is not very sensitive and requires more patience. The overall CP value is still very high. The counter staff is very kind and very welcoming! I will visit again next time.
Will not be returning. The room was very dated with paint flaking off the wall in the shower and covered in mold. We continuously had issues with ants and had to be careful with what we left out. Found it noisy and enjoyable. I told the receptionist and all I got was .. yes I am aware and we are doing renovations. I hope she was right!
This is the best value for money motel anywhere in NZ. The rates for the rooms are incredible value at the moment. The room are clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating. A must if you come to Christchurch.

The accommodation is clean and comfortable, I love the Kitchen and the bathroom the most! The bed is a bit too soft for my liking.
The hotel rooms are absolutely lovely,I couldn't fault them nice and warm and clean ,the only one downfall is the location sadly the weekend we stayed there was just too much noise there were couples having Domestics etc and being on Bealey Ave it's just diabolical, so if you're looking for a quiet getaway I wouldn't recommend this place other than that it's awesome.
Spacious room. Although it looked like some maintenance or improvements were in progress, the room has comfortable with the regular things needed for a hotel stay. Close to the city.

We had an ok stay but would I recommend it to my family and friends? No. Pros - good wifi which was fast - bed was comfy - had all sky channels so we were able to watch movies in bed which was nice. - nice decor Cons: - very loud being on the ground floor from the people above - toilet was broken and leaking and when we spoke to the owner he basically told us someone very big had sat on it... - bathroom was so tiny you literally couldn t close doors and shower was very very average with no fan. - provided tea and coffee yet no milk? - very run down and needs a lot of work
I pick up people here for high country tours. This looks like a nice place to stay while in town. Close to town and the park.
I would not recommend this motel and would not stay there again. The couch was stained and had an old curtain thrown on it to hide stains, the dining chairs stained, the hob was thilthy, the skirting boards rotten and holey, bedspread stained, mould around shower. Price is reflective.
Dont stay here if you want your bond back they hold for 7 days and do not tell you. then ignore you so you leave.
