Good location off the ctrain for a wife variety of events. Acoustics are quite good here. Lots of mid size shows happen here.

It is what it is since it's the only performance location for any shows in Calgary
Fantastic concert venue in Calgary. All seating is good, although a little cramped. Great sound and easy venue to get in/out of.
If you're attending or planing an event here, BEWARE. The Jubilee is VERY behind the times. Drink service here is some of the worst, slowest, and most overpriced in the city.
Their "bartenders" dont actually know how to mix any drinks, so dont bother. Liqours are bottom shelf, with zero selection, and the only snacks are stuff that was popular in 1987. Twizzlers? Really?
And my goodness are the staff undertrained and therefore SLOOOOW. An order for a single beer in a bottle will take them 5 minutes. The whole train wreck reminds me of the sloths at the DMV from the movie zootopia
Lines, even for a soda will regularily stretch the the entrance doors at events. Been to several shows here and had to pull the chute in the drink line or risk the doors closing.
Coat check is undersized, and the bathrooms are also totally insufficient, so get there early and use the bathroom at home.
Saw the Harry Potter with the CPO and it was amazing. Excellent timing and a whole new way to enjoy both the music and the film.
Great concert room. All I've ever seen there is stand up comedians though. I should try it with something else one day.
IF YOU PLAN ON BRINGING LITTLE ONES...
I was here for my daughters graduation. The school specifically asked not to bring young children. I witnessed a Jubilee staff member escort a mother and young children out of the auditorium when she couldn't get her infant to stop crying! I thought it was one of those bluff rules. Like when they say to not record the performance or use flash photography, yet everyone rationalizes: "Well, I'm exempt", and "there's quite literally nothing stopping me". Although I feel deeply for the mother, it's cool to see the level of professionalism. Like the poetic justice of actually having a cop around when you need one!
The Jube used to be the crown jewel of the theatre and stage circuit. However it s been slightly tarnished by the fact that their concession offerings haven t changed much in the 30 years plus I ve been going there. Needs more food. Needs more than just bars. It doesn t need much. But anything at this point would be welcome.
Been here many times to see lots of shows, can be expensive, but is a classy establishment if you don't mind the college setting. Drinks and snacks are pricey, but it's the theatre, what do you expect. The scotch they have at the bar is solid.
Went to see the Harry Potter movie with the symphony and really enjoyed the show. I suggest you get the Hang Tag app before going so you can avoid the lines for the parking and you can pay from the comfort of your car especially when it's -20!
Good venue to see a show but lacks in concession service. Last couple of shows I've attended there in the past year, they only had one bar open on the second level. Not sufficient service for the amount of customers they have attending.
I've been here way too many times. I peformed here in junior and high school for band, I graduated high school and college here, and I've seen musicals, symphonies and ballets here. It's just a magical place for major events and shows.
Beautiful venue, easy in and out. Wonderful experience, lots of parking :)
Parking is always a nightmare for big shows. But all is forgiven after experiencing the magnificence that is The Phantom of the Opera!
It was a nice hall. We watched the ballet. Nice performance.
Taking away the quality of the shows I've seen here (most of which were quite good), the jubilee is a fantastic venue. The main floor is slightly pitched, though perhaps not enough to save you from tall people. If concerned about sight lines, choose seats on one of the balcony levels. Drink offerings are super limited, but the coffee bar is quite nice.
Some of the most amazing acoustics ive heard in an auditorium. Seats less comfortable than is optimal though hence 4 stars
Great place..great seating everybody there was so professional great parking. Was there for my son's graduation so proud!!
Very nice, comfortable and clean, good parking, nice staff
It's just beautiful! Attended a symphony there "Legend of Zelda" it was fun! Enjoyed my time.
I find that the shows here can be on the expensive side, but it is a beautiful venue.
Good location and getting in and out is a piece of cake. Had a few bad experiences but generally good. Don't book tickets on top floor if you have any walking disability, it can be tough to access
We saw the nutcracker here three years in a row and it's always absolutely fabulous!
Always a great place to see live entertainment. The acoustics are amazing.
Very good stage viewing from all areas, the acoustics are great! Parking can be difficult at times. I just park across the road in the Sears pay lot for $6 per day. It's quite a bit less if you're going to be less than 2 hours.
Loved the Nutcracker performance at Christmas. Perfect date night idea.
Love the Jube. So many rad performances roll through here.
Collective Soul was an amazing act! Great acoustics! The sound was amazing...unlike our local auditorium, the Esplanade
Line ups were a little long. Excellent acoustics and comfortable seating.
Watch out for the odd lost earring; slippery! Wine overpriced for quantity
Staff were extremely helpful and nice! Parking lot is a mess, the flow off traffic to leave an event leaves much to be desired.
Really awesome place for a concert. People need to put their phones away though... its very dark so phones are really annoying.
Our convocation was held here, it was my first time to enter this place and it was well maintained and awesome good inside. Theres a foot bridge that connects sait, ctrain and acad. Very convenient for those who take the ctrain.
Big Amphitheatre, with excellent shows and theatrical plays throughout the year. This year's Phantom of the Opera was fantastic. The Auditorium is showing its age as the seats have lost most of their 'cushion', making the 2.5 hr shows a little uncomfortable towards the end.
Amazing performances! Great staff, beautiful place!
Very nice and comfortable place. Chairs are comfortable and even if you're at the top rows you still have a decent view of the stage.
Great venue! Not a bad seat in the house and the sound is superb!
Acoustics are great and great parking (or use the C-train)
State-of-the-art acoustics and comfortable seats make for a terrific live theater venue but there are a several negatives which make what could be an incredible night out into a substandard experience:
Washrooms: the men's washrooms has absolutely no lineup, whereas the identically sized women's washrooms have lineups 30-40 deep during intermissions. The obvious solution is to either convert a few of the men's to women's, or reduce the size of the men's washrooms to allow for expansion of the women's. My 6-month pregnant wife was struggling to wait 12-15 minutes without a hope in hell of making it back before the end of the intermission.
Parking: there is a single corridor leading to the parking structure.it's probably about 12-15 feet wide but they had it roped off in one section due to some construction to a ridiculous bottleneck passage that only allowed 2 people through at a time. So you've got 2,500 people trying to leave by squeezing through a metre-wide passage two-by-two. Poor planning and atrocious execution.
Refreshments: packed house showing of Les Miserables with 2,500 in attendance but only the main floor bars are open? Seriously? The second and third floors each have one bar at either end, but all 4 save the main floor are serving only water bottles. Good luck getting a drink in time to make it back for the second half of the show. Bonus points if you're able to pull it off while trying to get your pregnant wife into a bathroom while keeping an eye on your 8-year old.
This is a great place to watch live music. The acoustics are absolutely fabulous. Always prefer to sit on the lower level personally. The concession can be a bit pricey with a water bottle costing 3 dollars and a pack of twizzlers 5 dollars. Parking is 7 dollars for event parking, and there is a LRT station at Saint, so it is a short walk away
Beautiful place! Wish they had more food options. Seats were comfortable, parking options were good.
Such a fun venue to see a variety of shows, that come to Calgary. Parking can be challenging, but with security helping to direct, it's much easier. Still I recommend getting there early to get a close spot. Food and drink are expensive, with long lines, and they can't be taken into the seating area (most of the time). Overall it's a great place to visit and watch some very talented performers.
Great view no matter where you sit. Drinks are expensive.
A very stunning and beautiful place to spend you last days of highschool, amazing lighting and sound that echos the stage.
Nice stage. Saw Phillip Phillip here and was great
Went to see Jim Jefferies. The theatre and employees running it had the standard artsy pretentious attitude which gets old. Very nice theatre though. Seating was very comfortable.
Seating is very narrow and cramped. Good acoustics.
We saw Celtic Women perform, they played a very safe performance. I wasn't blown away, it was just... nice. The seats need an update as they are really tight together. I hope you don't sit next to someone with size as there's not a lot of room.
Comfortable, big, well prepared and organized hall for all arts occations.
I've preformed and watched here! The lobby is really fancy and nice and it seems as if its only fit for super posh people! The auditorium has many seats and one giant stage. Very comfy and you would definitely enjoy the show. Also, when i was preforming here, it was nice. backstage is big, and there are many rooms which you can wait in if your doing a big show, which was what i was doing. going to the stage was not that scary because it was dark so i couldnt see all the people. I will definitely be coming back to see my friends performing there! (they preform there every year)
This auditorium is beautiful and I've seen many different shows here and always feel classy and get warm welcomes from the staff.
