Southeast Tacoma FISH Food Bank Review

Very good food bank to visit! They have a clothing bank as well, but they have weird rules about only being able to go to the clothing bank after the food bank.

No ID required be prepared to stand in line the doors open I believe at 11 the line starts at 9:30 make sure you bring adequate bags very friendly and we think all the staff for their time their talents and their support for the community Monday Wednesday Friday

All the volunteers working they were very nice and helpful and it was a very good experience for me.

The volunteers here are very friendly and helpful. Waiting time has always been very minimal.

The staff are helpful, and it didn't take very long after we got a number. They truly got a great system for dealing with high volume of people. Way to go Nourish Fish Food Bank.

Love the place but hate the new volunteer that dealt with the meat yesterday, Wednesday, July 31st! He was rude and racist they assume that people people come to food banks because they are dumb! Even the lady at the freezer with 1 leg is rude assumed that everyone is there to steal! The mission of Nourish is to provide nutritious food and support services to people in need with compassion, dignity and respect. yeah right! You guys need to change some of your volunteers, and please stop taking all the good food home and helping yourselves to the good stuff, giving out garbage to the people!

The staff was very friendly on 01/11/19 but some time you get a volunteer that acts like it's there food and act nasty.. Really! Brush up on your people skills other then those days everyone is welcome no address restrictions nor family sz.

Great food bank, they give a decent amount and it is weekly which really helps in times of need.

I stopped by this pantry for two clients who were in need. Everyone was kind and helpful.
And my clients were very thankful.

I went late in the day, so I missed out on the sweets, milk and eggs. Other than that, which was my error, I received a lot of food and enjoyed being in an environment with a calm peaceful vibe.

Best time to go is an hour before closing on last day of week. Line moves quickly and help is right there.

I showed up there with 48 Christmas presents like I do every year. This guy that I have never seen there before was very rude to me. I had my 4 year old grandson with me now he is crying because now in his eyes the children that did not see Santa will not get their toys. I am very upset about this. I give to this food bank through out the year and Christmas Too. The toys are new just bought yesterday. I will find some Santa that wants them.

The people are amazing. The quality of food is perfect. I absolutely love this food bank and will recommend to anyone in need of food.

I do love this food bank compared to the food bank in the area we used to live. Only thing that bothers me is one of the volunteers is very loud and rude, says rude things about strangers and even other volunteers. Other than that this is a very good food bank, all the other volunteers are very nice, they give out a decent amount of food especially for the fact that you can go every week (I m used to every 2 weeks).

This time I got some fancy icecream that I would have never been able to buy. It was so rich and delicious. Food was awesome. Very greatful for what they gave me.

Good place but there are lots of people here waiting early. Come inside to get a numbered ticket so you don't have to wait inside if it's crowded

This is a food bank they have parking but you made need to wait for a spot. Open Monday Wednesday and Friday.

I attend the food bank once a week. The people working there are always so friendly and helpful. I would recommend this particular food bank to anyone seeking out a little help with stretching their food between paydays.

People are really nice here except the 1 lady that works the clothing bank. She seems to get an attitude and snap at people for no reason. Over all nice place & nice people.

Great selection, they let you pick items out!! Comes with a complimentary shoppers basket too.

I couldn't believe how much food I got and the workers were amazing and very helpful!!

was good earlier in the year but now if you go on monday you don't get hardly anything. they have only 2 paid volunteers and wednesday has 10. so the food comes in after it opens on monday so the food isn't all out until it's about time to close. as an example we got a single package of mini donuts for our family of 2 for 3 days. so we get 1 donut each morning. if people are paid to work here why are they not spread out evenly between the 3 days and why are people given food to take home because they are "volunteering"? volunteer to mean means out of the kindness of my heart not because you will pay me something. they are getting food before those of us actually signed up for the food bank are. this is unacceptable. have had 2 managers and we didn't see the last one or this one. apparently wednesday must be the day maybe at 4pm. argggg. bad enough i don't have much income,, but those that do seem to get lots there.

The people are rude and do not know how to properly store food. I will be calling the Health dept. you don t leave dairy products or frozen food out in the heat all day.

There's a short wait or a long wait. But u need food, they're willing to help u get help for food

It was pretty empty for the first time I went back in a couple months. Normally it is crowded badly.

Better food selection than other places near by. Fresher food.
