Short crossover. Wish they had some sort of transportation available on the other side to rent like bikes.

Up to date ferry which caters to tourists and locals to get to islands.

On time ferry to Chappaquiddick which is always in time. Easy off and easy on. Make sure you go see Dike bridge which now has railing.

Had to wait in a pretty long line of cars both ways. Once you're finally aboard, trip is very short and easy. Should be a bridge here though.

This historic ferry is a proud survivor of a less intense automotive age. Taking only a couple of cars, bikes, and passengers at a time, the ferry provides the passenger a wonderful slow short ride during which the scenery of the port can be enjoyed.

Very reasonable rates. The line for cars is sometimes long but these people wastw no time loading and unloading. Seams like 5 mins intervals. They will take just about anything: cars,trucks, trailers, motocycles, bicycles, & people.

The only way to get to Chappaquiddick. It's called the 'On Time' because it doesn't have a set schedule. It makes a trip when people show up.

The Chappy Ferry is for the most part (without spending close to $200 for a OSV beach sticker and relying on bird nesting and tides) the only way for most folks to get to Enjoy the ride and take some photos on your way across as it's a unique experience.

Easy process! You can buy a ticket with a credit card at the kiosk where the ferry loads in Edgartown. We got stuck in severe weather on Chappy, so the ferry shut down for about 20 minutes, but then everything ran normally.

Small ferry. Cars arrive EARLY or wait in line. Park on the edge of the flat boat. $16 round trip.

A staple. Great a lobster roll and watch the ferry work

Three vehicles max. Great little ride, old school setup. If you pay for a round trip, they give you a laminated card that you give back to them when you re-board. Almost always a line, they have streets on the main island side that they use for queues. The staff is pleasant, but didn't say much more than was necessary.

Chappy ferry is an icon. I've been riding on it on and off for fifty years. MV wouldn't be the same without it.

Fast & good. Only way to cross to the Chappaquiddick Island with the car

The smallest ferry I've ever been on and the results are wonderful.

They can certainly squeeze a lot of cars into very small spaces

This thing freaked me out. Everything is safe, you cars are safe, but it just gave me a panic attack having a brand new 2016 car on a little plank over a river. My heart tells me to give it a 1, but the quality of the service was a 4 or 5, so I has to oblige. If you are prone to anxiety, this might not be the best thing for you, but your car is honestly safe and it's just a short distance across. They do it pretty fast, and the locals were friendly and helped us get to where we needed to go.

You can feel like Huckleberry Finn for 5 minutes while crossing super-busy Edgartown harbor on a ferry barely big enough for 2 cars.

I was a little scared, was waiting for the big shark! Such a beautiful place!

The shortest ferry ride ever! Definitely take the ferry to Chappy if time permits. There is a sense of peace on the other side. Gorgeous view of Edgartown.

It is a cute little Ferry caring a few cars, bicycles and standing people across the channel to the island. It always seems to have a line of cars waiting to cross. If you go across you need to plan your day ahead. On the other side you don't have much for stores. You really need to bring your drinks and food and whatever you need for the day with you. Just plan to pack a picnic and a cooler.

2 ferries running today, it's like a well oiled machine. It was much quicker to get to and from back in January

Good but crowded and not a lot of people wear masks and WiFi is so bad just wastes battery

It's a quick trip across to the island where you're on the ferry next to cars and bikes. Operators are friendly.

Love Chappy. And even though it's gotten pricier over the years, the Chappy Ferry still adds unique enjoyment to the short jump from Edgartown to Chappy.

Great ferry service to chappy. Really quick and nice ride with friendly owners and staff.

Efficient small ferry. Fast service and very easy. You can just show up and buy a ticket in cash or at the kiosk that takes credit. Car with passenger costs $13 for round trip and every other passenger costs $4. You can get on with your bicycle or just yourself. Ferry ever 5minutes but waiting in line takes more time than the ferry itself. 10-25minute wait and 5minute ferry. Only problem is the wait but other than that great everything. Would recommend if you want a nice day in chappaquiddick or edgartown. Thanks!!

This is a fun ride out to the Vineyard. Great views of the coastline. Comfortable boat, with services on board.
