I went to Sorellina several years ago as a celebratory dinner, and now it is my number one go-to for special occasions. I had the best meal of my life there last week - started with the delicious buratta with fig. Absolutely delicious. Then had the gnocchi with lobster and Vermont butter for my main. The gnocchi were perfectly light and still hearty, and I wiped the plate dry with bread to get every ounce of sauce on there. For dessert (it was a tough decision) but had to go with the chocolate lava cake and it was a perfect end to the perfect meal. The ambience is relaxed and elegant. One of my favorite restaurants of all time.

The food is phenomenal. But the experience with the receptionist totally ruined the night. She was rude and careless. When we arrived, she just point us to a table without showing us. And that turned out to be the wrong table. And then she just let us wait for anther five minutes before uttering some incomprehensible words.

The place looked amazing, very friendly staff. Great place to dress up at and special occasions. The food was slightly expensive but expected with a restaurant like that. I got chicken it was great but mashed potatoes wasn't what I expected

We first ordered from this restaurant online when they opened for takeout during the pandemic. We loved the food and ordered repeatedly when we were all staying at home to be safe. We wanted to try eating there. We called and made a reservation on the phone ~ for outside because we don t feel comfortable eating inside at this time. We arrived for a 545 reservation and were told that although all of the tables outside were empty, they would only accommodate us inside. We left. We will never be back. Please don t trust this restaurant with a special occasion because they can t get a reservation correct and were not kind. #offthelist

Made dinner reservations while staying in Boston for a conference! Everything was absolutely delicious, but what drove up the stars was the attention to detail and service. Each and every single staff member was sharp and on their A game. I was absolutely impressed!

Wow, Expected a great dinner and was totally disappointed.

Had 90 dollar truffle pasta that was served without the shavings in front of you ,the kitchen did it and it tasted like buttered pasta.

The service was horrible ,the top dish pasta with meatballs tasted like it was sitting in a pot for days.

It was the second and last time I will go there when I am visiting Boston.

I don't get why people love this place. Service is great but food isn't, both the starter and entree were extremely bland for the price and the only thing I actually liked was the dessert.

The food is really good and the staff is friendly (although we may have been lucky because our waiter was from Colombia). There could be more light, but I guess it adds to the atmosphere.

While expensive, it is one of the best places in back bay for after work drinks with clients or celebrations. The food is well-made and priced accordingly. Although, I'd come armed with reservations since its popularity doesn't always lend itself to good seating.

We want he based on a recommendation and it was well deserved. The restaurant has a modern atmosphere open and comfortable with tables well spaced out so even though you may have neighbors you do not feel cramped in. The food was presented beautifully and tasted as good as it looked. The service was as good as everything else attentive to the needs of the table without hovering or pressuring to turn the table.

If you get the chance I would recommend paying Sorellina a visit.

Upscale Italian, very stylish decor, great food. While there are other places in town to get a more authentic Italian meal, this place never fails to provide a great meal with an outstanding wine selection. I pretty much go here for the Lobster Gnocchi and the wine/dessert.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Sorellina. The wine list was very inviting, even though there were many wines which would not fit into our own budget, we found a really good bottle of Italian red, which fit well in with the dishes we had.

The cocktails are something to write home about, while the desserts were great. We had a hard time deciding which primi and secondi plater we wanted to take, because almost all the options were something we wanted to try.

The service at this place is superb.

This place screams history to you from the moment you enter till you slurp down your last slice. It actually feels like an institution. Getting a single, seemingly lonely stool at the bar I got chatting to a lively gentleman on my right.

One of the finest culinary experiences I've had the pleasure of enjoying. Everything, from the crudo to the veal, was cooked to absolute perfection. The flavors were intense, yet subtle, and the experience was amplified by a delightful atmosphere and impeccable service.

I dined at this restaurant recently and it really was top notch - excellent service, great food, and a warm and quiet atmosphere. The halibut with lobster, mushroom ragu, and lobster creme was terrific, as was the Orecchiette. It's not an inexpensive dining experience, but one I recommend to anyone looking for a special meal.

Went on february 15 for dinner. Server was not attentive at all. They poured us tap water without adking what we wznted, so we had to ask specifically for sparkling, which required them to have to remove the already poured water. We didnt get our bread until after the apps came out and asking twice. The food was okay, but very unimpressed with the service.

Sorellina is a great date night location. Their service and attention to detail is one of the best in Boston. Staff are friendly and attentive. They accommodated the requests for a birthday celebration for my fiance. Overall the food had elegant presentation. My only complaint is that food was a bit overpriced and very similarly seasoned. The butter sauces were tasty , but lacked a little flavor / kick. However the food was prepared with great finesse.

This is a great restaurant with great atmosphere, clean space and immaculate service. The food was perfect. Their appetizer "The Polpo" was exquisite. Octopus with couscous on point. The Lamb Chops were cooked to perfection and the "Veal" was extraordinary. To end their desserts are the icing on the cake. I recommend this place to anyone, for any occasion!

Hands-down the best Italian restaurant in Boston. The food is always sublime (in taste and in presentation), the atmosphere brims with refined elegance, and the team of waitrons are always present without being obtrusive. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough -

I took a friend for a special birthday dinner here on a Tuesday night. The food was amazing, but the server was definitely not happy and had managed to ruin our meal. I usually don't have a problem with servers because it's hard for someone to ruin my mood, but she definitely made us feel uncomfortable throughout the course of our meal.
I don't want to be biased with the servers, because the couple next to us had a very funny, friendly server who was making them laugh. We were looking at the other couple in envy.

I really want to give a good rating, but the server actually managed to ruin an almost perfect dinner. She was cranky, and gave us faces when we didn't want to order drinks or dessert. I hadn't ordered dessert because I had made a note to the host to have something special for his birthday. When I asked our waitress if she had received the notice, she made a face and said "....something about a 22nd birthday?" instead of letting us know that something was on it's way or that we would be receiving anything. For a classy, modern, and sophisticated restaurant, I thought that she did not represent the restaurant in a terrible way.

The food was amazing. The service was not.

Sorellina is good, but not worth a 5 star rating. We dined with them this past Saturday. The atmosphere is sophisticated and classy. While we saw a few t-shirts and a ball cap at one table, the dress is upscale casual. A sport coat for guys and a dress for the ladies is spot on.

Their service was very good and our location by a window added to the evening. We started off with several appetizers including the Polpo (octopus), Cavatelli (rabbit and pasta), and Maccheroncelli (meatball, sauce and parmigiana). All were prepared excellent and challenged the palate with sophisticated tastes. But that's where the good food ended and the main courses were average. Two of us got the Milanese which was presented well, but dry and with little flavor. The other dishes, Veal saltimbocca, and the Filet Mignon were again bland. I don't know why the appetizers could be so good and the mains fair at best. For the prices paid one would expect much better than average.

The 4 stars is a reprieve do to the excellent appetizers, but if it wasn't for those it would have been a 3.

The complementary bread was warm and came with a light flavored soft butter. In addition, the free starter, razor clam, was cooked perfectly. I don't ordered razor clam dishes in western style food restaurants since the shells and sand are very hard to clean. However, the razor clam here only came with the mellow meat part and the sour taste increased my appetite.

The restaurant is comfortably elegant. Our server was pleasant and eager to help us choose from a menu that was filled with many beautifully described delights. We began with Mozzarella Di Bufala complemented with figs and persimmons along More

The food is.... bad. The quality and the taste are not even worth mentioning. Burrata is tasteless, bolognese is of level of a cheap take away place, scallops are over cooked. The only good thing is the staff of the restaraunt

Sorellina's is finally off my bucket list of restaurants to try! Reservations is definitely required but I lucked out as a walk in due to a cancellation. Service was very attentive from the Bus Boy to the Waiter. Wine menu is more intensive than the food menu but don't be fool. Overall it met the expectations both in my head and hear say.

Been there several times, great food and service at the table but this time eating at the bar ..1) they could not provide the password to wifi and 2) could not figure out how to use the gift card 3) too busy to take food order..may just be because of staff that day ..has not been my previous experience..

The branzino for 2 was amazing and so were the fried oysters. I don't like oysters, but these were amazing! Everything from the service to the food to the atmosphere is just perfect!

Great ambiance but average dining

Beautiful restaurant with soaring ceilings; amply stocked bar with experienced tending, so the meal did not meet the expectations. Fois gras was cool to touch, lacking flavor, and the good portioned medium-rare ribeye was sadly mostly rare and off- temperature; at the end it was a chore to finish.

That said it is worth another try.

My husband and I went to dinner last night to celebrate our Anniversary. We both felt so safe the moment we walked in. The server was wonderful and the food was amazing as always. We absolutely love this restaurant the food is consistent every time! Can't wait to go back!

My wife and I went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. The food was unusually tasty without being too complicated, and unusually light for a gourmet restaurant. We had a very tasty, crunchy snow pea salad as well as oysters for appetizer, and then monkfish and sea bream, both prepared well for the main courses....
