Great winery with a very nice tasting room. Wonderful architecture. As nice as the tasting room is I recommend sitting on the deck if the weather permits. Wonderful view of the fields and surrounding hills.

These guys bottle some of my favorite pinots in the valley. They don't always have them open in the tasting room, but maybe you can get lucky! Otherwise, Evolution is a great entry level, the pinot gris is solid, and the rest of the lineup is pretty amazing as well.

Highly recommend a visit. You can grab lunch somewhere and come by and hang on the patio when the weather is nice.

We came here the first day the new tasting room opened. They were working out the opening kinks, so I won't judge too hard on that.

A key feature: you can reserve different rooms to have your tasting experience in... I recommend the kitchen for a ~4-8ish sized party or the downstairs for 15+.

Wine quality was solid, but the view and experience is the draw.

World-class pinot noir and an array of interesting whites and blends. In the summer, you must try the dry rose. Idyllic hilltop setting and a commitment to sustainability. Friendly, laid-back and knowledgeable staff (especially the fabulous Jenny). What more could a oenophile girl ask for?

07/29/17: 5.0 out of 5 - By far one of the best, in my opinion, when it comes to tasting, service, and great wine choices. The experience is so wonderful that my wife and I chose Sokol Blosser to be our first winery to become members. Such a wonderful place to experience.

My wife and I were on a weeks' long vacation to the Gorge and to the coast of Oregon. One of the last things we wanted to do was stop by a few wineries as we made our way back to Portland driving through the Willamette Valley. After Googling wineries in McMinnville, we decided to stop at the Sokol Blosser and Penner Ash. The Penner Ash winery was very nice and had a wonderful patio view of Mt. Hood but it seemed a bit too commercial. When we stopped by the Sokol Blosser estate we had an amazing experience. It wasn't super busy but I am guessing that is because it was a Wednesday afternoon. The servers were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. Loved that the wine was done in a sustainable and organic manner. They had just moved into their beautiful new building and everything was immaculate. The wines were also incredible and we decided to become members of their connoisseur's club right then and there. I definitely think we found a gem.

We loved our experience here so much we became members our first visit. The location is beautiful and their unique architecture allows for cooler shade in hot summer and dry outside seating in the wintery months. The wines are delicious, they specialize in pinot noir, but really elevate other varietals as well. The staff have been nothing but accommodating and helpful, they have called me personally many times to see if they could help save me money when I order from them! Customer service is a big deal to me, and they deliver consistently. They just changed to seated tastings to give a better experience so call ahead to make a reservation or bring a picnic to enjoy while you wait. A must stop in this area of town!

Lets start off with the positives: the architecture of the tasting room was impressive and beautiful and the staff were polite.
for the negatives: (1) severely overpriced for the quality. $25 dollars for the tasting and if you want a palate cleanser while you drink, tack on another $3 for a fist full of popcorn (excellent spices on the popcorn though). (2) pretentious atmosphere to a fault. Complete with reserved area for members akin to a frequent flyer lounge at the airport where us plebs were not welcome. (3) Did I mention it's expensive? for the purchase of only 3 bottles of wine (25 bucks a piece--for the cheap ones) they will refund you the cost of one of your $25 tastings.
In reading some of these reviews, I seriously question their authenticity. There was literally nearly nothing noteworthy at sokol blosser (except the exorbitant amount of money we spent for 5 sips of wine). Taste at your own risk.

Sokol Winery is a must! The views are stunning (although the smokey air crippled it a little for us) and the tasting room is gorgeous. Zach helped us today and he was fantastic! He explained a lot about the area and took a lot of time educating us on the grapes and wines. I learned more from Zach than any other winery I have been to. My favorite was the Old Vineyard Pinot Noir. They offered two different tasting menus which was nice. I highly recommend stopping here, it was a lovely experience.

I have purchased wine in house and online and am very satisfied. The delivery method is safely packaged and arrived in perfect condition. I only drink red, but their selection is great and all taste fantastic.

If you re planning a trip to Williamette Valley wineries, you ll definitely want to include Sokol Blosser on your list. The is a quality winery that knows what they re doing. And the wines are really good. I almost wish we had started here before we numbed our palate with some of the other wines.

Loved their Farm and Foriage experience! Excellent food and wine pairings (6 small bite pairings with 6+ different wines!) with intimate time with the chef in a cute private kitchen. Zach did an awesome job guiding us and making it a personalized experience. Wines were excellent. Would highly recommend!

Considerable selection of quality wines. If you decide to drink your wine here you can do so from their outdoor spaces which have treated me well in rain and sun. The staff is usually very knowledgeable without being pretentious and always friendly.

My favorite winery in Oregon! One of the very few ORGANIC wineries, which is all my husband and I drink. We used to go here before the pandemic and the grounds are gorgeous & staff super friendly. Since April, we've gotten to purchase/pick up our favorite Sokol Blosser wines 100% contact-free, once at the winery and a second time at Parsons Farms fruit stand in Lake Oswego (which was super convenient!) This sets Sokol Blosser apart from other wineries for me, since I'm still sheltering in place and social distancing 100%. My favorite wines are their Rose, Riesling, Evolution Red Blend, and Evolution Lucky No.9.

My favorite winery! Love everything about this winery, from the great architecture, the woody smell that fills your nose once you step inside, to the great wines that they have for their tastings. Also, they gave me a free tasting of a rose of pinot noir. Others who came after us got the rose AND sparkling wine in addition to their tasting. The guy helping us with the tasting was SUPER friendly and helpful, and explained so much about the wine we were drinking, and about how wineries work in general--- this was only my third time going wine tasting so I had tons of questions!

We came at the end of March, and the vines were pretty bare since they just pruned them, but it was still beautiful. Also since it was the slow season, there was barely anyone else doing tastings and we practically had the place to ourselves!

What's not to love? Great wine, their wine club is one of the best in the region in terms of value for your money, and the new tasting room (more like a tasting complex) is amazing with it's multiple settings for various kinds of tastings to private events. Since this is on one of the major routes to the coast traffic can be bad on the weekends, but that's just a good reason to spend more time out there!

During an afternoon excursion through wine country I decided to try Sokol Blosser because of its Google reviews and the friendly reception when I called. This is an expansive property with stone patios overlooking beautiful vistas as well as a warm, friendly, knowledgeable staff. They have unique tasting rooms and a gorgeous contemporary wood building. They offer an excellent Pinot Noir flight selection with a relaxed sense of serenity. You won't be sorry...

An excellent place to come to visit if you like wine, landscaping and tourism. Excellent attention and friendliness from the guys who serve you. A very nice and cozy atmosphere. Nice decoration. Very good quality and variety of wine. A spectacular landscape environment. Highly recommended to visit if you are in the state.

The wine is really good. The staff is helpful and welcoming. The lush green shade at the patio invites you to spend hours enjoying the views of the winery. Was worth the trip from Portland for those who are not very well-versed in wine. Recommend. (check the prices before you go)

I have had a wine club membership here for at least three or four years and love Sokol Blosser wines! The new tasting room is a little too fancy for me but I have the membership so I try wines I would never think to pick out myself. Some of the wineries in Dundee charge outrageous amounts of money for not very good wines but not this one - they know what their doing and have been in business for so long for a reason!

This property is classically beautiful, an expansive slope spreads out below the main building covered with the rows of vines. The main building has huge windows on both sides, and there are a few nice sitting areas outside. I just stopped More

Our first exposure to Oregon wineries. What an experience!! They set the bar very high for the rest of our visits. The wine tasting was excellently designed. We sampled a wide variety of wines, hitting some of our favorite varieties while getting a taste of some wines quickly becoming our new favorites!

The tasting room is located on a hill with indoor and outdoor seating. The tasting room has floor to ceiling windows giving us a great view. The outdoor seating gave us a spectacular view of the vines and the valley which produced this great wine.

The staff were very friendly, answering all of our questions while giving knowledgeable suggestions for us. Their service was to give us the outmost experience while letting us sample their wines.

We had great wine tastings, superior service, and an impressive view. We took a little of this experience home through the wine club membership we started before leaving.

Wonderful wines, especially the Pinot Noirs and the Chardonays that are very flavorful and yet gentle and sophisticated... Entertaining wine tasting experience. Tasty appetizer plates (fromage and charcuteries separately, a bit small and pricey, but very good taste). Beautiful picturesque setting, heated outdoor seating during chillier days. Not too far from the center of Portland, easy drive through Newberg. The winery owners are thoughtfully providing a charging station able to charge a couple of EVs simultaneously, so forget about your range anxiety!

My wife and I went to four wineries in the area, and this is our favorite one. Most importantly, they have the best wine, but they also have the best staff. They are very friendly, available, and helpful without being overbearing or overdescriptive of the wine. In addition to that, the winery has an amazing view from the front porch of the beautiful, modern tasting house. The architecture is amazing - by far the most interesting, beautiful building in the area.

The wines are barely passable, and outrageously high priced. I drink a load of $25 to 65 Pinots, theirs are $60-75, and not that great. For that price, I want to be stunned (see Prive or Willakenzie) The "Evolution"? A cheezy blend, too sweet, boring. Yes, a beautiful place, fantastic setting. The wines do not live up to the architecture.

On a trip to Dundee, this is the one stop I remember best. The tasting room was very intimate and packed, however the hostess was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. On top of that, all of the wines we sampled were superb.

The tasting room is very nice- really light and airy. The server was very friendly and knowledgable. We shared a reserve tasting, and there were a couple extra pours of wines he thought we would enjoy. We ended up purchasing a bottle and the tasting fee was waived, which is always very nice. The property was very beautiful and a good spot for some photos. There is definitely better wine in the valley- but I still give them 5 stars for a nice experience.

Wonderful place totally worth the visit for some of the best wines in the Dundee Hills. The service in the tasting room was great. Lots of estate single block wines and a bottle to for every budget. From $15 evolution wines to $100+ single block library vintages. No shipping discount on a case purchase caught me off guard but still worth it.

Very Rude and snobbish servers. Husband and I were on a our way to McMinnville for our Anniversary, and we were treated like we were homeless people. I've been to several wineries and usually their tasting rooms are very welcoming and very polite but these people thought they were a notch above everyone else. As I looked around, the grounds were nothing special.

Excellent wines in a contemporary tasting room. If you like architecture then this is a refreshing choice amongst the mom and pop places and the rustic french/ Italian style farmhouses. The view from the tasting room is great, plus there's several outdoor spaces, for picnicking and a partially covered space for lounging.

Whats not to love about Sokol Blosser wines. They produce a good range of wines for those that need some everyday wine or something to serve at a nice dinner. Even though they get busy they take the time to tell you about each wine they pour and answer any questions you have about the wine. Take a picnic and enjoy the grounds, they have a great patio under the trees. They have some great club events if you join.

Driving up from Napa and prepared for a different experience due Covid19, I was still completely surprised during our visit to Sokol Blosser. It felt like they are using the Pandemic to strip the service completely down. We were not greeted at arrival but after ten minutes of waiting at the wait to get seated sign we had to reach out to them to get seated. There was no explanation/tasting notes of the wines we were tasting. We ordered the mac&cheese which was tasteless but couldn t get black pepper. Also, the butcher s plate had more cheese and jam than meat (why calling it a butcher s plate?).

All this ruined our experience which is such a waste as the wines were great and the view is fantastic.

Was nervous to go indoors during covid as an immune compromised human. They made it SO safe and I cannot tell you how thankful I am! All flights are pre-poured, tastings by reservation only, and staff kept their distance when checking in. We will absolutely be back!!! Thank you so much for putting health and safety at the forefront of your reopening!!!
