Hotel location is wonderful and service is excellent
There is a charming atmosphere, located on the banks of the Nile, whether it is watching the flashing lights on the other side at night, or the river scenery stretching during the day is great! Also like the hospitality staff enthusiasm~
Authentic place that used to be the king's palace. I admired how they maintained the original style and atmosphere.
It's a nice old Hotel. You see the spots on the couch in the lobby. Spend 300,- Egyptian Pounts for entrance Fee. What can be consumed on Beverages in the Hotel. A bit dark interior in the Bar. Nice view to the Nile. Friendly Staff.
Everything was excellent. From the amazing views, spacious rooms, beautiful gardens and great service. Loved it. Wish I could have stayed longer than 1 night.
One of the most beautiful hotels in Aswan and Upper Egypt is characterized by the distinctive location of the last Corniche Nile Aswan overlooking the most beautiful landscape in Aswan on the island of Alfantin. Excellent service. It is the highest price in Aswan and it is rated five stars with one swimming pool and the most beautiful on the Nile. It was the time of King Farouk Palace and next to the garden of Princess Ferial.
One of the nicest and brightest hotels in Aswan and all of Egypt
It is considered an archaeological museum
I can not believe how majestic it is, it is a true legend.
Very nice Hotel and room facility & FOOd service &out site location very nice
A wonderful place, old, pleasant, upscale and luxurious
A historical heritage place with a beautiful and charming view of the Nile with 7-star service
Famous because it was home to the recording of the film Murder on the Nile.
One of our best memories. Wow ...
A living picture. Just shut up, watch, walk around, have a drink facing the Nile where the minutes take their time. Dining in this beautiful dining room is a must, for the atmosphere and history it has experienced. I collect money to go back. The rest is described in other notices. I only mention here why to go.
I think it's a PARADISE
i want to thank everyone i met special thanks to young girl AYA she has a wonderful smile amazing accent , helpful and great representative for this hotel i will back soon with my family
Beautiful hotel! Wish we could have stayed longer than a day. Best breakfast bar of our entire trip
Charming nature and tranquility like a piece of paradise
Wonderful
Located directly on the Nile next to the Ferial Park
wanted to enter to have a look they said no unless we pay money.
Nothing to say about the price proves everything, the room is a bit old and needs to be refurbished
Extraordinary Place , This ravishing hotel with its legendary guest list of royals and dignitaries is an ideal getaways.
Great Hospitality and very friendly service from a professional team headed by a great GM Selim Shawer.
Thank you Mahmoud the Guest Experience Manager for such professional Experience .
Gorgeous hotel. Beautiful view from our balcony. Very good pool. Didn't have the pleasure of using the spa which was also beautiful. We never made it to any of the Restaurants but ordered in room service which was excellent. (Except second time I ordered the meza they forgot to put the dressing on the tabouleh).
Hard to rate this hotel as we had an unusual experience. We had our room reserved by our tour company. When we arrived we were given a room with 2 twin beds. We had said that we reserved a king bed. The person on duty explained that there were no king beds in their premium rooms. We agreed to pay for an upgrade to a king bed. We contacted and told our tour company about the mistake with beds that we had to cover. In the end we were not charged for the upgrade. However nowhere on their website does it mention any rooms that don't have king beds, so I am not sure how this mistake happened or was it a way to have tourists pay extra.
It is a magical palace , I still shocked and wanted from my deep heart to go back . Every thing is present and the staff was so polite, helpful and friendly .
The first good thing about this hotel that strikes one is the view. Guests in rooms in the old building looking out over the Nile toward Elephantine Island and the spectacular desert beyond will understand why so many luminaries ranging More
Hotel 10 stars, elegance, tranquility an excellent tea in the afternoon ... certainly a recommended place to meet.
Amazing hotel to enjoy luxury and friendly hospitality
The hotel has good service, rooms are good, food and drinks are good
The legendary Old Cataract is undoubtedly a dazzling experience.
More details about the atmosphere of the place inside and booking
It's one of the most luxurious hotels I've ever seen, it's very high class and has so many beautiful sights, in addition to it's wide, green, amazing and well taken care of, garden.
When you enter this hotel, you will be thrown back in time, a time of British class. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The view on the Nile is literally fabulous. The breakfast is extensive and the restaurants are of a high culinary status. Really a top world class hotel. Needless to say, I think Old Cataract is a must.
Beautiful hotel with exceptional views of the Nile at sunset
Very nice architecture both inside and outside. totally recommendable
Good place
Good view
It's my second home
Amazing place with luxury rooms very kind stuff and high quality of service
I was fantastic staying in Sofitel legend old cataract Aswan service was great room amizing lots of history in our room very clean outstanding room view
We wanted to have a drink at the bar of the old cataract and have dinner, impossible to pass security. .. !!!
It is not enough to live on 1 legend, it must also be assumed!
Too bad the reception is so bad. ..
I advise against
Super stunning hotel however the food takes hours to serve and it ain t the best. Breakfast on the other hand is great!
For an unforgettable stay in a mythical place. We do not get tired of the daybreak on the Nile.
It s the must stay place in Aswan but for the price, the service and food let it down and don t quite deem it worthy of the 5 stars it could easily get. We had a Nile view room which was huge and beautifully decorated with a stunning view. It was in the large annexe which, whilst unsightly, does give a good view of the main 19th century palace hotel. There isn t a huge amount to do or see in Aswan, comparative to Luxor for example, but it s worth a couple of nights if you re happy to sit an watch the Nile drift by in a beautiful setting.
Really it is a very pretty hotel with good landscape I love it
Above the excellent, something like that from a beautiful time
#1902restaurant Unbelievably beautiful place! One of the most striking restaurants I ve ever been to. Everything was curated in every detail.
Demanding house, demanding guests. Pleasantly high price level, therefore interesting audience. No annoying low-cost tourists
Nothing can express my feelings towards the beautiful moments that passed at Sofitel Cataract
It was a great accommodation in this legend hotel..
Magnificent place with a lovely view. I recommend 1902 restaurant for its historically royal experience.
