Can be expensive but you can find deals which makes this a great hotel to stay at in the downtown area. Staff was very friendly and service was prompt. Rooms are big and many have good views of the Burj Khalifa. Restaurants are expensive but that is to be expected in downtown Dubai. Would definitely return if the price is right.

Me and my boyfriend had a 1 day lay over before our flight back home and we decided to stay at Sofitel Dubai Downtown. The staff were very helpful, especially to German who did a great job on giving us advice on where to eat a nice local food for dinner. And he recommend us the Abd El Wahab Restaurant. The food was delicious, the view was just fantastic, and it s just right next to the popular Dubai fountain!

The area is amazing - you can get very easily to the Dubai Mall. You have an awesome view of the Burj Khalifa. If you rent a car Jumeirah Beach and Kite Beach are only 25 mins away. All in all I can 100% recommend the Sofitel Dubai Downtown. We are coming back!

The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was good and the breakfast is good and there are options (I recommend breakfast once because the nearby area are many options and deserve to experience especially in Dubai Mall and Boulevard) proximity to the metro (less than 5 minutes walk) as well as from Dubai Mall by subway pedestrian bridge (approximately 10 minutes walk)
Visited the spa, massage was good, however arrogant front office supervisor.
Steam room was not working and we not informed at the time of booking.

Top hotel in top location. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The service has absolute top level. The rooms are bright, large and modern. This is my second Sofitel hotel and certainly not my last. The infinity pool offers a view of the Burj Khalifa. Metro with the almost everywhere, in the immediate vicinity. Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall are also nearby and within walking distance.

The hotel is very clean. Wonderful. Most of all, it is more quiet. I liked it, since it was a busy period. But there was a quiet hall. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is excellent, the design is more than something I noticed. The lack of stairs and the wheel are small. The room is too late to respond! The breakfast buffet is excellent, the crew is interested, wonderful, cooperative with each other, I thank Professor Qasim in the breakfast buffet, very respectable, wonderful, great, providing the driver in case of need directly , approximately a distance of 7 minutes walking to the Dubai Mall, an excellent supermarket close to the hotel a minute, I liked the harmony of the room colors Shi Featured
Had very bad experience with this hotel .
I booked table in one of the restourant in Sofitel, want to arrange surprise party for my Husband's birthday. I ordered one beautiful bunch of ballons and send it to the restaurant before we arrive. I was shocked when reacive the call from delivery company saying that security shop them at the entrance of the hotel and didn't let them go even to reception, NOT ALLOWED BALLOONS IN OUR HOTEL he sad , with no explanation, I was trying to speak with him on the phone , he didn't even listen. Then my delivery was trying enter from loading area , security was very rude, all they was shouting NOT ALLOWED.
Was trying to call reception , duty manager , security duty manager, manager of restourant -no luck , no one could explain why I cannot bring ballons . I ask if it's mention anywhere on paper? No answers .

Hotel impression start with Lobby and there you have very unprofessional bouncers , who doesn't know how to speak or deal with people .

As with so many 5stars in Dubai, they simply don't care enough about the buffet though. I have no idea how much per capita was payed for the lunch buffet, but I feel it was in no relation to the provided food.

Been to Sofitel Dubai Downtown with my sisters and had a great pool experience. The staff were attentive, accommodating and friendly especially to Mr. Michael their Team Leader who warmly welcomed us. The location is great and hassle free in transportation. This would definitely recommend and surely will come back again! Thumbs up! ;)
Great hotel and convenient location but don't mind the food! Comfortable elegant & clean rooms as per Sofitel's high standards worldwide. Cross the street and you can walk right into the Dubai Mall through the foot bridge. Unfortunately the view to the Burj Khalifa tower is obscured by new high rises. So choose a view on the city instead. The restaurant isn't run by Sofitel and is unacceptable by Sofitel standards. Avoid at all cost.

Great Breakfast with one of the best Pool Experiences in Dubai. Water is absolutely Clear & devoid of harmful Chemicals. They also had a great Happy Hour @ the Pool, and they give out Ice Lollies in the afternoons!

I stayed at this hotel for one week because i had training course, at the beginning we changed the room twice each time something not working.. The room was good and cleaned but the room service very poor, you have to call for shampoo, soap, towels, water... Etc
It was really annoying that after long tired day you go back to the room and everything is missing.. And oneday the room wasn't clean or tidying, the operation will answer the calls after hundreds times..
The loppy was ok, i enjoyed working from their, service is ok and the food is delicious.
I don't think i can recommend it and i will not go there again

Very nice hotel located in a quite area 4 minutes walking to Burj Khalifah & Dubai mall Metro station and you can use the metro station to walk to Dubai mall from the hotel. Exceptional service and very nice a views from the room to Burj Khalifah. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Awesome design. I really loved it and will differently come back to this hotel very soon
