El Kababgy has the worst service and staff. Waiters are rude and they took a very long time to come to our table to make an order, the food was below average and does not match the very high prices. I do not recommend at all

5 Stars hotel in the best location on Cairo , was completely renovated and converted from Sheraton to Sofitel Al Jazeera

Amazing view of the Nile River, variety of restaurants: international, Moroccan, bakery and pastry shop. Out door seating over looking the Nile. Ramadan buffet at Le Sud restaurant was wonderful and the selection of food suits every appetite. Staff at the restaurant and reception were very helpful and friendly, they helped us resolve an incident in no time. The furniture/ decoration at the restaurants may need to be changed to something more modern and light. Wonderful terrace for an afternoon tea or dinner as well.

Lovely atmosphere and engaging even as you drive down the long access road leading up to the entrance ... An enchanting drive past the Revolution Command Center dating back to 1952, with a captivating path alongside the Nile in a spot arguably second to none!
The cobblestone entrance is enticing, leading to the cosy and warm lobby, half Oriental half old French style.
An excellent open buffet welcomes you on the ground floor.
Enjoy the super and superb view from the terrace on the first floor (from the Opera Ballroom) with an unlimited view of the Nile opposite the mega fountain.

The restaurant is Kababji dinner is terrible and eat delicious and honey people

Casamia restaurant is a fabulous restaurant to visit in Sofitel al gezira!
Food is amazing and staff are very welcoming especially Amr Said,Hayam ad Hala the musician.

Not that clean for a 5-stars hotel. Room service is too slow and usually they ignore your request unless you keep asking.
