We love this place! We come here all the time and our favorite old fashioned and mule is here and the food is incredible!

Whoever thought to fry smoked chicken, is brilliant. The chicken was crisp, moist, perfectly seasoned and a generous half chicken portion with 2 delicious and perfectly baked sweet potato biscuits. The spoon bread was good, though seemed a bit more like grits with a sweet/salty flavor. The macerated strawberries and vanilla cream were really tasty, though I wish there were more berries.

Great service. We had a wonderful selection of appetizers. I loved the greens and mac & cheese. The smoked chicken was good. 4 of us had it. I had to take the skin off though, didn't like the double fried and honey. Our table of 8 shares 2 deserts- bread pudding and a lemon custard. Both very different but good.

The Chicken and Biscuits was awesome. The staff was great. Definitely on the recommended list.

Just had the best vegan burger in Lafayette called the "impossible burger ". It tasted so well I thought I had the wrong burger. I will definitely try this burger again. Thanks Social

I've traveled all over the country for several years as part of my job and have been to to Lafayette several times in the last few months. I love to try new restaurants and foods from the different places I get to go and several people have recommended Social Southern as the #1 place to try. Now I know why. Rena was our server and I would give her 5 Stars all of her own. She was excellent! I had the Steak and Frites, which came highly recommended. It was great. Everything was great!

It tasted divine though. The food is even more divine. I am big on restaurants having vegetarian / vegan items so i decided to try an impossible burger and a mushroom flatbread pizza. Hands down one of the best vegan burgers I have eaten. It pretty much tasted like meat. The mushrooms on the flatbread pizza were full of flavor and juicy. The servers are amazing and I really enjoy when they do specials for lunch.

This place is great for food and drinks!! A very foodie and evolved twist to comfort food with a farm to table mentality. Lots of local beers to choose from and try with flights!

The staff was very nice and welcoming. The atmosphere was laid back and comfortable. Extensive drink menu...will definitely return for social hour. I ordered the chicken and biscuits, brussel sprouts and roasted corn...the portions are dedinitely enough for 2. I enjoyed the sides and the 1/2 chicken had a unique flavor of smoked and fried...the honey made it a little sticky. I would not order it again.

The food is amazing and there is a huge selection of drinks. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. This is my go to spot in Lafayette.

Always great service, I would recommend getting the specials whenever you come since they are seasonal and fresh! I have had some experiences where when I ordered some staple menu items they ended up lacking, but I have never been disappointed with seasonal specials!

Social is a very professional, courteous, and delicious restaurant. Their sweet tea is unique and their sharables are a great deal. I had the pork gumbo and the shareable Mac and cheese. Both were wonderful. My companion had the shrimp and grits and he found it great. They were not empty or busy but a nice in between. The prices were fair for the high quality you received. They have a large and wide selection of local drinks including beers, wines, and spirits. I would go there again.

The waitstaff are so polite and friendly, and very helpful. The fried green tomatoes and the krab wonton nachos are delicious! I also love their house salad with seared tuna, it's huge and very tasty, quite filling!
Extensive bourbon and beer selection as well as a solid variety in all other spirits.

Brian and Jeremy (our waiter )were awesome. It was my husband's 50 birthday and he always wanted to try Pappy Van Winkle 23 yr. And Brian made that happen. This place is awesome, food is Great. My new favorite restaurant! OMG!
I visited this place on my lunch break and I'm so glad that I did. I ordered the SWAMP DADDY pizza. It has Spicy Red Sauce, Mozzarella Cheese, Smoked Gouda, Crab, Crawfish, Shrimp, Andouille, Tasso, Cajun Sausage, Green Bell Pepper, and Green Onions . It's like Subway. You go down the line and they ask you what you want on your pizza...

I could not have been more pleased with out food from Social. We ordered TO GO for the whole office. Not only was the food amazing, but all of the orders were correct. The staff had the food ready at the time we asked for. We pulled up and they brought it right out to us. We highly recommend Social!

The service was phenomenal. Julie did a great job of describing the dish I ordered and explained that the sweet tea was brewed and sweetened with in house ingredients and their recipe. The cost was fair. Atmosphere was comfortable. The ambiance and lighting keep the mood welcoming and there s just enough space to not be cramped with other tables. I will definitely come back.

Food was so good! Great service from our awesome waiter Mason. As usual I wanted everything I saw pass by my table. Then we got a big bowl of fries in the house when we sat down! Not sure why but it was awesome! We will be back!

I loved Social and truly wish we lived nearby, because we'd definitely be back. I had the smoked fried chicken & sweet potato biscuit with chili honey, and spoon bread with macerated local strawberries and vanilla bean cream for dessert. Whoever thought to fry smoked chicken, is brilliant. The chicken was crisp, moist, perfectly seasoned and a generous half chicken portion with 2 delicious and perfectly baked sweet potato biscuits.

my wife and I tried social about 2 weeks ago and Rena was our server. She made our experience more than just a regular sit and eat experience. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and honest about what she reccomended. I worked in the restaurant industry for years, and that was the service I gave to almost every guest.

Pulled pork is absolutely to die for. Not your standard BBQ version but still bursting with flavor! The servers are attentive and seem well versed in the cuisine which occasionally changes. The drink menu is unique and I usually try something new when I go. I've been several times at lunch on the weekends and really enjoy the flatbreads! Overall, the ambiance really sells the place and it's a favorite date night and lunch spot for my group.

Great restaurant with a fun rotating menu and good cocktails. Service is consistently solid, and they just keep getting better, love that they now take reservations. The smoked fried chicken entree is a particular favorite.

Great atmosphere, great staff, fresh cocktails and delicious food honestly. I've gone more than a few times and always left satisfied. I Had a lamb burger with cantaloupe and herb pesto that I thought was Such an interesting and delicious dish. Their mimosa is by far the best in Lafayette.

Chicken and biscuits are the way to go but everything I've had here has always been great! Wait staff is excellent and the atmosphere has always been low key and perfect.

The Mac and cheese was awful me and my son agreed we did not like it.our server was rude and it took 1 hr to get the food never again!!!!!

Best Fried Chicken I've EVER had! Amazing service, great atmosphere, great Sunday Brunch menu!

This place has one of the best ambiance. Bartenders and staff are friendly and are very knowledgeable. The menu changes often and has some fine dining options.

Our first experience here was great. The inside of Social is very modern, upscale with a rustic feel. The alcohol menu is beyond reproach. In particular they have a large selection of brown liquor including flights. They have a decent wine selection and cocktail menu. The menu is seasonal and they pride themselves on farm-to-table. I appreciate the fact that not everything has a Cajun spin on it which is a nice relief. Everything on the menu looked like it would be a good choice. The only reason I'm unable to give this place five stars is the fact that everything was way too salty. It was almost inedible... that's how salty everything was. I wanted to love my food because it tasted so great but the salt overwhelmed it. Even the desert was salty. My husband and I love to bake you can't use salt in your recipe and salted butter without turning the cake into a brick of salt which is what happened here. Hopefully it was just an off night. I do want to try more food so the over salting didn't completely detour me from going back but if it's the same way next time I think I'm done eating here but would go back just to drink.

If you're looking for a fresh, modern approach to fine dining (with no pretension) this is your place!!
Also, I can't say enough about how wonderful Lyndsey Darbonne is. So welcoming, informative, and efficient! The service here is really top notch!

My 2nd time here. Im going to go ahead with the 5 stars. I usually save them for when u knock my socks off with the food or a great all around experience. Granted I ate a burger ($12) instead of the steak ($36) (ate a awesome angus steak last night off my own grill so...wasn't risking being disappointed) and it was a very good angus burger, the fries were awesome.
The service was great once he warmed up to me.
I'm not a fan of their beer selection but there are few Louisiana beers that I love. La & dogfish head (60min) are all they have on tap.

This spot is worth a visit. They have big portions for affordable rates. Regularly neat and with good character. I highly recommend this place.

Service superb.Jordan was excellent. Old fashion superb. Reuben not good. Menu limited...prices absurd... atmosphere superb..wedge salad not iceburg lettuce as is customary . Lettuce was limp but dressing great.cream brulee pie the bomb.my mom enjoyed her shrimp and grits.

Huge bourbon selection, like 5 different Pappys varieties!!! The food is great too. I had the hanger steak and fries. The chimichurri on the steak really set it off, it was cooked perfectly. The fries with the spicy mayo were perfect. Like Douglas McArthur said, "I will return"
