It was the worst experience I have had since I have been coming there .The heater kept cutting off and on every 5 minutes. They lost power and was stuck on the chair lift on one of the coldest days I have seen..The hot water barely came out. There was nobody helping people get there cars out.The window in our room was cracked. This was the worst experience I have ever had since I have been coming there

This was my first visit with snowshoe mountain, I first off would like to start with making reservations was extremely easy Becky was super helpful and made all my reservations over the phone in a very short period of time.

The mountain itself was awesome views from both sides, I ended up booking the rimfire lodge and enjoyed it from other peoples suggestions.

The atmosphere of the entire area was great the people were great and friendly.

Lifts and slopes were absolutly fantastic we arrived after they got a good amount of fresh snow and couldnt be happier about the turnout we got.

With our entire trip I would definately visit again and will be making reservations again.

Thank you,

We have beem coming every year during Christmas in last 6 years, this year snow condition was the best. It's not fair to compare it with those famous ski resorts in west, it is the best one in southeast. Not too expensive, within driving distance, good choice for 4-5 day trip.

The best skiing/snowboarding in the southeast. If you are capable or skiing/riding black diamonds The Western Territory is incredible. The Snowshoe owned restaurants leave a lot to be desired.

Best runs for the price, that said after the season is "over" they close the back half of the mountain, wasn't really well advertised. During the day the mountain is awesome, I really wish they kept the runs open longer, closing the runs at 4pm doesn't make sense. Not much to do after the runs close. Except spend money...-_- but overall for winter sports, the runs are pretty good.

Mid Atlantic apres' skiing at it's best. Awesome resort with lots of skiable acreage. Nice lodging with amenities. Great after hour shows, music, and games. Affordable restaurants, and snack areas.

I worked and was a mountain rat from 15 till i left at25. 4848ft best on the eastcoast. i valetparking mostly and if it was slow I would strap on my board and go out the door for a few runs. Pocahontas co has the oldest park a civil war battle field and the largest watoga state park. lake river cabins it's also got 8 rivers born in the mountains more then anywhere so fishing is great. there's no walmartI or interstate and only 9k people in the 4th largest co in WV. one of a few places where you can drink the river water. in oh it will catch fire

Awesome resort. They have everything you will need here and friendly service. The terrain and facilities are well kept and employees are polite and helpful. Dont waste money flying out west and renting a car....Also the place is loaded down with MILFS...

I've been here snowboarding several times which is always a blast. Tried downhill mountain biking which was awesome. Tons of trails, good views, and great obstacles, can't wait to go back.

Have worked for Snowshoe in the past. Great vacation spot winter or summer! They have activities all year long. Call in advance to check out what's included with packages or you could end up paying extra for things you may have assumed were included.

Excellent time! Would go again.

Excellent time! Would go again.

Good points:
- decent rental prices
- they have a ton of blowers if it doesn't snow so you'll have the opportunity to still ski
- rescue staff is everywhere, comforting
- wasn't too crowded
- have free shuttle service

Bad points:
- 75% of the lifts close at 430pm leaving only one part of mountain open until 9pm
- lift tickets are approx $85 per day
- absolutely zero cell phone coverage

Awesome resort to visit, a little busier than some of the other mountains in the area. Slopes are well groomed. It's a bit pricey, but we have always had a good time. There are a lot of shops and some restaurants right at the top of the lifts. The best ski experience I've had in the area (VA/WV) to date.

Also, the rentals are better than some of the others we've used. It was a pretty quick process and had us on the mountain in no time.

This is our third year coming here. I love the atmosphere of the town and how easy it is to get around. I usually ski on the tame slopes, no black diamonds for me. But there are basically 3 different ski areas to explore. It's nice to literally unplug (no cell service, but free wifi if you're a digital junkie) and enjoy conversations with people. We stay in PowderRidge, but there are lots of options for every budget. I recommend making reservations for everything (equipment, dining, spa, etc.) early and purchase your lift tickets online. Use the free shuttle service to get around and ditch your vehicle at the condo.

Arriving at 9 p.m. it was EXTREMELY hard to find our lodge. When issuing reservation confirmation, Snow Shoe could easily send detailed instructions on where to check in. The complex is huge and very confusing; like driving around in a maze. It took us over an hour to find our room.

Solid place. The conditions were sporadic, but they did a great job of keeping the slopes rideable, without constantly getting a face full of fake snow. They have several high speed chairs, and while the terrain wasn't as varied as most of what I've found and loved out west, it's the best I've experienced on the eastern side of the country. Accommodations were reasonably priced, food wasn't a total back-breaker, lift tickets were also reasonable especially if you are active duty or a veteran. And having 90% of the accommodations at the top of the lifts was kinda cool! *You probably won't have cell service, except at the base of ballhooter lift. I'll probably go back at some point.

The staff at the lodge wasn't very helpful at all ...

The staff at the lodge wasn't very helpful at all at the lodge on 1/7/17. I attended a wedding at the Chapel and the reception was at the lodge in lounge downstairs on Saturday evening. The Chapel, service downstairs was excellent, but the staff at the front desk of the main lodge wasn't helpful at all. We missed the one and only shuttle back to the Chapel to our vehicles. All they kept stating that the shuttle would be back around every 10 -15 minutes. We waited 20 - 25 minutes and no shuttle and both times we asked them gave the same response and never once asked the shuttles if one could make a run to pick up two passengers. Even though they had radios in front of them and you know they could have used a cell phone. We finally had to walk the close to 4 tenths of a mile at least in -1 degree weather with wind chill of 30 below. So if you plan on staying at the lodge I would make sure to get the supervisors number prior to arriving to make sure if you would need something. And it isn't like the wedding party didn't stay there 2 nights and the rest of the package I am sure wasn't cheap.

No grocery stores to purchase ingredients for meals. Incompetent and lazy mountain staff. Ski school makes parents run around selecting/ fitting equipment for kids. Outrageously priced for the experience. Restaurants are understaffed providing for an unsatisfactory and frustrating experience. Consider flights to Montreal and skiing in Canada - the pricing isn't that different than this woefully inadequate hill.

The restaurant s food is straight dirt. The aesthetics of the place was good and the bartender provided excellent service but none the listed above could help how the badly the food tasted. The sushi was dry and was incomplete. The rice tasted like small pebbles and the seaweed tasted like sandpaper.
The noodle bowls were absolutely bland. NO FLAVOR. Top ramen would put this dish to same.
For the price this restaurant experience was a complete rip off and I feel like I ve been robbed. I consider my money stolen.

Such a great place to spend time with friends and family. Snowshoe has so much to offer, from bike riding to sporting clays, even a beach to relax and enjoy the sun. Get out and enjoy this beautiful resort!

Snowshoe is my home mountain even though I live in Pittsburgh. For a complete experience, I think it's wonderful. The lodging is plentiful and at several price points, there's night skiing and terrain parks, the staff at the lifts professional, and a town area for downtime.

Bought a lift ticket the night before to go visit snowshoe and mountain bike. In the morning before leaving, I was having car trouble and called to ask if it was possible to cancel the reservation that I had made LESS THAN 12 HOURS previously and if not, if I could get a rain check on my lift ticket, as I was still interested in making my way over there and riding. Instead of being remotely understanding, I was met with the robotic implication of "too bad, so sad" and lost out on $50. I'm sure the trails are great but can not reccomend Snowshoe to anyone looking to visit.

You get typical East Coast icy conditions randomly so be prepared for ice. Snowy conditions? Never seen em here. That being said, since they can't control the weather, oh well! Nice cabins, nice atmosphere and employees. However, as with any resort place, things are INCREDIBLY overpriced!! $30 for a simple pizza with cheese and tomato...guys, $30......

Best place to ski/snowboard in the southeast. Better than the small slopes in the mountains of NC, but obviously not quite up to the resorts out west. Interwest has been putting a lot of money into renovating the snowmaking equipment and other amenities at the top of the mountain. Some of the lodging is a little dated, but you can find modern accommodations if you're willing to pay for them.

Even though it was a warmer weekend, they kept most all of the slopes open. Used snowshoe properties management to find a room and stayed in private condo at the top of the world for less than the normal room costs. Highly recommended.

Shout out to the groomers at snowshoe. It rained till 3am before it turned bitter cold. They must have groomed all night to create a granular base to save the day. These guys and gals are all pros. I'm more than impressed.

I've been going to Snowshoe for years and just recently came back from a trip. I booked a townhome (Loggers Run). I called in to see if we needed to bring our own linens, the person on the phone told me that their policy had changed but that I could bring my own or pay the linen fee. I told her I would just bring my own linens. I call back the next day wanting to know if we needed to bring our own towels as well. The lady on the phone told me that their policy had changed since my booking and that I will be forced to pay the linen fee and no longer had the option of bringing my own linens. I believe if a policy changes after I make my booking, I should not be subjected to the new policy. What if I hadn't called back the next day? Why should I now have to pay a linen fee when your policy changed after the fact AND your employee didn't even know what she was talking about? If I hadn't called the second day, I wouldn't have had to pay the linen fee and NOW I was being forced to. That's just bad business. Then, while we were there, we paid $105 a lift ticket and started skiing at 11AM. The electricity goes out at 1PM and doesn't come back on until 3:15PM. We skiied for 2 hours. By the time the electricity came back on, it was already too late to put back on all of our gear to ski for 30 minutes. The front desk told us that night skiing wouldn't be available that day. Forward to us checking out. We asked if we could get a refund for our lift ticket since the electricity went out and we basically got jipped from skiing. Jessica Lawson at Top of the World told us, they were advised they could not give out refunds, but she could give us a voucher to use by the end of the season. We drove 6 hours to get to Snowshoe, we could not come back before the season ended. So, Jessica writes on the lift ticket that we could use it for next season (handwritten note on the back of the voucher). Who knows if this will be valid. My husband and I check out, tell the rest of our family who were also staying with us that we received a voucher for next season. The rest of my family then goes to Top of the World and speaks to Jessica, who tells them that she CANNOT do vouchers for them (after she helped my husband and I). My family obviously points out to her that she had just helped us and so, Jessica replies "fair enough" and writes them a voucher. What kind of business is this? My family and I are all first responders and showed nothing but respect towards Jessica and yet, there is some shady business going on.

Room in the Summit condos are clean, warm, and spacious. Shuttle drivers are friendly and fast. The runs are beautiful and the food options are above average for a ski lodge. Definitely enjoying our stay!

We decided to relax after a hectic week and we needed a ski condo at Snowshoe Mountain. I contacted the owner and the deal was made. I was amazed at the good customer relations exhibited by the owner. I and my family really enjoyed the Snowshoe Mountain due to the location of the slopes and the friendly disposition of the owner. I will recommend Snowshoe Mountain to colleagues and relations.

If i could post a half of star i would. I booked a 3 night stay at the resort. Bought mountain bike lift tickets for 2 days when a legit hurricane came through and we couldn't ride. They said there's nothing they can do and would not issue a refund. EVEN AFTER A HURRICANE! Staff mostly rude also
