Absolutely gorgeous. I recommend everyone take the gondola up and hike to the peak
Good snow. Terrain is amazing. Vibe is kinda posh and hoity toity. Needs more ski up bar, less fancy.
$75 charged for unused season pass refund due to a medical injury that wasn't my fault. Hmmm merry Christmas to ripoff basin...
One of the best ski resorts around! Lots of varied terrain and lots of snow to back it up. Definitely one of my favorites! And the road is almost always plowed, so pow days mean more time skiing and less time driving.
Still plenty of snow. Hit it in the morning so you can avoid the afternoon slush. The operators are still as happy as can be.
We took the kids and the dog to Beers, Blues, and BBQ and had a great time! Perfect thing to do on a Sunday.
Great place to visit a beautiful view wonderful food reviews of breathtaking on John Paul by the tree on the top of the mountain have lunch or dinner checking out
Great year round fun, Blues Brews & BBQ is so much fun and free to all! My kids love Movies on the Mountain but prep for cold temps even in the middle of summer. Food prices are high but it's good, plan ahead if you're on a budget.
Great ski resort! Little crowded in the winter. Great for summer trails though :)
Very worth while to packed go to powder moutains much better
Awesome brunch at. Snowbasin with Bryan and Angela Vogt Nielson
Awesome lifts and great terrain. Two gondolas that make it easy to keep warm and enjoyable on cold days and other high speed lifts that allow for quick access to a great mountain. John Paul has access to Mount Ogden bowl, which after a storm is the place to be and good trees as well. Strawberry is heaven when the wind isn't ripping, which is rare. The only reason it isn't 5 Stars is that it doesn't have the home town resort feel, its very high class, so if thats your cup of tea, theres plenty to sip on.
Great mountain. Super friendly staff. Wonderful snow. We'll be back for sure
Big resort with lots of runs for all different levels of ability. Large lodges to relax in and lots of lifts to get an offer the mountain
Very nice. Lots of open lounge areas to relax and regroup. Conference and banquets rooms available with any amenity you need for any get together. Warm inviting atmosphere, skiing is great and much less expensive than Vale owned and managed resorts.
Having a great time at the Blues event but really wish the umbrella zone policy was enforced
Great running and mt biking trails. Good atmosphere. And amazing views
Beautiful to hike or mountain bike, never very crowded and lots of nature.
Loved the snowboarders, absolutely stunning view & the trails are a fun hike. All around a fun, relaxing and good environment to drink beer and enjoy a piece of Utah.
Possibly my favorite western resort. Epic snow and terrain and no crowds. Love it!
One of my favorite Utah ski resorts, but there is definitely room for improvement.
Top notch facilities, a truly fun mountain with decent terrain.
Blues brews and BBQ was awesome! Always a great atmosphere and good people. Nice place to hang out in the sun, have a cold beer, and listen to some mega awesome jams. Oh! And did I mention a it's dog friendly so many adorable friendly pups.
Snow was not very good, i know it has sucked this season, i can't blame them for that. It's overpriced and too crowded.
This was not ski season. We just enjoyed the hiking trails. Very, very beautiful.
Woohoo hoooo! Snowbasin! Nice gondolas, beautiful lodges and awesome snow!
All the lift operators are super friendly. We skied with our Mountain Collective pass, so our name is on our pass. They always greeted us by our name. The lodge is very pretty. Nicest ski lodge I've been to in the U.S. Looks like lots of great terrain, but too bad for us that Strawberry Express was on windhold all day.
You can go hiking in the Summer and skiing in the Winter. It is a very peaceful place
Just gonna say Utah's best kept secret hoping no one will go find it out. Operated by one of the best ski resort companies in the world and it shows.
Great resort any time of the year with activities for the whole family!
A huge ski center with beautiful slopes and landscapes.
We love Snowbasin! Great food, even better skiing, and an all around awesome atmosphere. The staff members are so friendly and helpful. They will even help you put your skis or board on the gondolas! Such a fun place to have a crazy awesome snow day.
I believe this is the largest ski resort in Utah. It certainly is the most friendly. It's casual environment promotes easy conversation with other guests. The staff is friendly and willing to go out of their way to be helpful. In terms of driving from Salt Lake International Airport it's not much farther than Park City. I highly recommend it. 5 stars

Terrible employees good mountain if it was ran differently literally only thing going for them is their gondola and that s it because you can get on without interacting with the employees
great place to ski great place to eat! only its a little pricey
Unfortunately the managers response to my review: "Your feedback also goes into racial undertones" is a bit hasty and inept . Furthermore to clarify for those who may not fully undersand , race, culture, and ethnicity are considered separate and distinct identities. Being American isn't a race!!!!! Being American as a whole is a culture due to the obvious fact that America is a direct dirivitive of numerouse diverse ethnic populations. If I had said that I felt that the white staff members of the lodge were aggressively attacking me for being Mexican American, then that would have racial tone to it!
Websters Dictionary; Race. 2. noun. a group of people of common ancestry, distinguished from others by physical characteristics, such as hair type, colour of eyes and skin, stature, etc. Principal races are Caucasoid, White or European American, Black or African American, Mexican American..."
So when I specificy American staff members this is because there are a high multitude of multi ethnic employees at the resort and I feel it only prudent to disticntly clarify between them. Additionally it is important to mention that I have only ever had positive experiences with the Peruvian or non American staff members at the lodge who are above and beyond respectful, diligant, and kind.
Original Review
We have experienced a wide variety of resorts. While Snowbasin has a beautiful facade it lacks in basic amnemities such as working fire places, public rest areas, or even a basic public microwave. The fire places are gas powered but do not have powered fans to push the heat out. Furthermore if you wish to stop for a rest be prepared to be kicked out of any of the lodges by staff and managers if you aren t buying the food or drinks. I witnessed as a manager approached four young boys none over the age of 8 years old, in the lower lodge dining area, forcing them to either leave or put their food away and saying that the area was for paying customers only! The decor is beautiful but the American staff both ski staff and food staff lack in common curtousy. I was personally verbally accosted by a lift manager and threatened to have my season pass revoked when coming to the defense of a customer he was being bullied and intimidated by the lift manager.
Your experience at first may be the feeling of extravagance but this resort may be just above average as long as you don t have any real interactions with the American staff members.
On the other hand I have witnessed a large number of rude and crude customers stealing food from the food courts to parking like A** holes and blocking off public access points. Perhaps the constant barrage of rude customers sets the tone for the staff members.
We rode the gondola to the top. What a magnificent view!
It was good but all runs feed back to one place so it get really crowded. Long lines for some lifts
If you like waiting in 2 or 3 long lines only to get gouged for ..food and drinks.. only to go out side and after see all the drunk people... you wait to get in and ....to pay... sheeple love it...
Visited in July to take the gondola up the mountain and do a photography walk. The scenery is gorgeous, no doubt. The gondola ride was $14, which seems just a little steep. I've never been here for skiing, but I can say that they don't put much effort into their summer iteration. The hiking trails aren't marked at all (I was told to just look at the map, which is too high-level and pretty useless for finding where a trail begins), and there's no info available as to the level (easy, moderate, hard) of each trail. The summer season is really geared toward mountain bikers, apparently, and hikers are just an afterthought. Still, it was a great experience for the scenery, even though I was there only an hour or so due to the lack of easy to moderate trails. (Tip: Don't try to walk on the remaining snowy trails in running shoes, or you'll end up on your butt.)
I've had a season pass here for the last three years and every year I've loved it. Huge resort with plenty of variability difficulty wise. The bigger trails are nicely groomed with some smaller trails that can usually hold on to untouched snow for a day or two after snowfall. Great experience.
Great mountain with amazing lodges and slopes. Was my first time snowboarding in ten years and I was able to make it on most of the green/blue slopes with no problem, and there were more than enough to get through the day without much repetition.
Great varied terrain, deluxe lodges, and typically shorter lift lines.
Man this sport is getting expensive! $95 for only 3 lifts! This is more expensive than another resort that is extremely kid friendly and close proximity!
I love Snowbasin! The staff does a great job preparing the mountain and running the resort. The only negative for me is that it is too crowded on weekends.
Went to the Beer Fest event. Great music and beer. Wish they had more food vendor options though.
Have had an excellent experience with Snowbasin. There are tons of runs and they cover all experience levels. The lodge food is really good too!
Great time snowboarding with my kids. Great lodges and amenities.
Excellent resort hidden away in a quiet valley. It is easy to get to from the airport and the parking is well managed. Saturday mornings can be busy, so mid week is ideal. The facilities are 5 star. There are plenty of beautiful lodges and rest areas with great food and entertainment. Very family friendly and a great place for couples too. The scenery is beautiful, after skiing take a drive into Odgen Valley and enjoy the lake view and some nice restaurants in the area. Plan to stay as long as possible for a peaceful relaxing visit.
Really pretty resort! The staff were so nice and helpful. Also their hikes were beautiful, definitley will be back :)
Love the resort! Blues, brews, and BBQ is a fun summer tradition we like to ride our Harleys too. Beautiful scenery!
Been going here since 1980. Favorite ski spot in Utah. My only criticism is they have priced out the locals.
Parking and crowds are ridiculous. Prices are way too high. Restrooms are lovely, though.
Lots of terrain. Good variety of black runs. Downside is usually crowded and on powder days it's often hard to find a parking spot late morning.
Great place to have a concert. Bbq was so delicious. Can't wait for my next visit to this area!
Good place, friendly staff......just extremely expensive.
My kids always have fun here. The facilities and snow is the best. Food is great but a little pricey. Most staff are superb but there are a few who make staying there and watching my kids snowboard a challenge. There needs to be places (indoors) with much better WiFi to work while they play.
Came here for the beer festival and stayed for the entertainment.
Snowbasin has changed over the years (as you will no doubt hear over time) and not necessarily for the good. It certainly still is a nice facility with good slopes, nice powder, sweet bike trails, and beautiful views. It seems like the facility has been transformed by yuppie interests. Weekend music festivals are now packed and pricy and facility amenities have been overhauled (probably at consumer cost), but at least season tickets are only a little bit expensive. Overall the facility is pretty great and location better, but with these concerns addressed I think basin would be wonderful again.
Very dog friendly which is a major perk. Blues brews and bbqs is a concert series that is free and host some cool artists. Nice hiking area.
Best resort in Utah for long fast groomers. When the conditions are right, the off-piste is phenomenal too.
Good skiing if you're part of ski school or the ski team.
I have provided SO much feedback to management in every section with no change. Locals are people too. I hope this season is better.
I love the transitions of the seasons in Snowbasin and there are always some new experiences every time I visited. The roads are very good for mountain biking, snowshoeing, or skiing.
