A great family outing to visit. Try this it's exciting. You learn very slowly but it's worth it. Dress warm, n such fun. I'm a learner so the tyre was good enough for me. Then a hot latte goes well in their restaurant or hot snack for the kids. A must to visit for the family.
Great place for kids and dinning. Friendly staffs as well.
Great food and service. Was a little noisy and very busy lunch on Saturday. Only downside was a long wait for meals to arrive.
Great staff and inspiring coaches. Got me comfortable in skis on my first visit
Had a great time at a kids party. Would get a 5 if the prices were a little more reasonable
Awesome way to practice on the snow without having to drive all the way down to the mountain.
Day pass and gear hire will set you back around $100.
Nice restaurant and bar to chill and warm up
There are places for beginners, snow slides, and places for advanced players.
seeing people walk away when got to counter, Waited 40min in line. Got to counter then understand there is no rental gear left. That's OK. But why dont you have a sign or someone tell the customers instead of making us wait then find out. How would you feel. Are you trying to improve your customer experience or not, do you care?
Great place to catch up with family.
Good food warm and lots of fun.
Real snow in the middle of summer. That's wonderful.
10 yr old birthday celebration with a lesson for 4. Everyone was friendly and helpful, kids had a ball. We'll be back!
Unless you are desperate to ski or snowboard in summer, just save up for a proper trip.
Amazing place absolutely love having an alternative to the often pricy mountains. Gear a little outdated, often broken with parts missing (especially gloves, boots etc). Friendly staff
Good place to take the kids. Avoid going friday evenings as it gets very busy
We took our older group of children from Buzz Club (Holiday Programme) to Snow Planet.
We had a fabulous time and the staff went over and above to accomodate us and make sure we were well looked after.
Highly recommend Snow Planet for a fun day out
Went to Snowplanet where we had bought a voucher for a meal for four people at The Chalet and had booked after lockdown, it hasn't reopened and they don't seem to know when it will, so we ate at snowplanet cafe. What a great experience it was, eating and watching people using the ski slopes. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone who would like a different experience. Thank you SP
Our group of Recycled Teenagers (Whangaparaoa Ten Pin) had the most amazing Christmas end of year Luncheon at Snowplanet on Friday 17th November. With a group of 23 we were seated in the separate Chalet with the meal served just outside on Buffet tables. The Winter Wonderland decorations inside and out on the snow, helped make a special atmosphere. The meal was fabulous and generous. Dawn, our hostess on the day was very attentive and efficient. We will definitely be hoping to return for our function again in 2021
You can enjoy snowboarding and skiing at any time of the year and four seasons. There is also a nice cafe inside ~ The staff are friendly. There are many children.
The kids love the snowboarding, but during holidays & on public holidays the ques are way to long to get up the slope because they tend to only run 1 of the 2 ski lifts. The last public holiday my boys managed to get about 3 rides in before they were fed up even though they spent about 3 hours there. We complained after the 2nd hour & the 2 ski lift was switched on but by then our boys didn't really feel like continuing.
Absolutely great experience to ski or snowboard down the indoor slope. Very delicious restaurant to satisfy your hunger no matter what time of day. Staff here are soooo helpful and friendly and truly look after you. It's a must do and fully recommended! At Christmas time Santa also arrives for all ages half way up the slope amongst the snow with photographs available. Well done team!
What better place to have a group gathering for a Christmas celebration than here. The venue looked like a winter wonderland, the staff very friendly, and the 'build a buffet' was very tasty. Highly recommend.
A great day out for our students - awesome instructors. Appreciated the flexibility of staff and the way in which the staff accommodated our needs.
Wonderful Memorable Experience for all, Great staff. Can get quite full in the dining area so it pays to pre-book a table and expect a queue when ordering food during busy period.
A little disappointed with the fact that I bought a pass from 9 to midnight and they turned off the belt to the beginner's slope 20 minutes before the allegedly closing time. I felt like I was being pushed out of the place even though I paid for that time. Turns out walking up the slope is basically impossible specially for people with nearly zero experience, so I did leave before midnight even though I paid for those 20 minutes. Had fun but not sure if I would come back because of what happened.
P.s.: my visit was on March 15th, 2019.
Snow planet is the best for people that can go to the mountains to ski / snowboard and great for new comers as the staff are great and have great personalities and very enjoyable
Won't go again anymore, the customer services is terrible! The waitress and the staff looks very impatient! When I slipped, they did not stop the machine and it almost hit me on the face!
Nice place to visit once or twice a year specially if you are a fan of skiing. My son enjoyed the wonderland.
Very cold but of course it is snow planet, has quite some jumps and a fun way to get up to the top, there are holiday programmes
Great day out with the family. Friendly helpful staff. A wonderful place to teach the kids to ski. The best day of the school holidays by far.
Tubing is lots of fun! It's good they have the conveyor belt to help you up the hill. I reckon You only need the 1 hour session
Overall for my kids it was a good experience but one thing that stood out was the staff , we weren't told where to get gears from let alone skiis or boards we were from out of town and first time visiting yet nobody gave a run down on where to collect anything from just got told go around the corner and get geared up. It was pretty much parcel parcel with is like nobody wanted to deal to us properly and tell us hey here's your clothing put it on and come back for a board it was pretty much go see that person then come back see this person. Then on the ice the staff weren't really focusd on what's happening just conversating between one another forgetting they have a duty of care.
It wasn't all bad though despite having the down fall it was fun for my children to learn to snow board and the reception staff were extremely nice.
I would recoomend snow planet to friends and family.
Thanks
Always a good time here! Gotta love the features, only thing that could be done better is the prices on food and a few little side hits
Kids had an absolute blast. Great venue for a birthday party
Very expensive and staff were rude and inattentive.
Super facility for pre ski.ing warm up. Good watching area with food etc available.
We have kids of all ages and abilities and they all fit in and play at snowplanet, they started with Snow tubing and quickly progressed to skis. They are looking to start snowboarding soon. Great restaurant also plus loads of parking.
The idea to have an indoor facility is awesome. In terms of to get there is so convenient, so close. However, they have to look after all their equipment and facilities which is an issues there. PleAse make sure when you rent anything from Snowplanet that you check it before you start snowboarding or skiing. 3 stars of 5 for the lack of good quality equipment. P.s the restaurant was nice
My kids loved this place. Food was excellent and I met some wonderful Instructors here.
Liam has great technical skills , my 8 year old improves a lot just one lesson with him.
Harry is fantastic with the little kid and an excellent communicator, my 4 year old son absolute adores him and saying that he makes skiing so much fun.
boots hurt too much dont reccomend going here i fell and got injured several kids crying dont go!
Val D'isere this is not, but I can drive here any day of the year, and ride on some real snow :-)
It's ideal to teach/learn, never has bad weather, and you can rent whatever you don't have (or don't want to bring)
One thing to note, the lift pass + board/skis combo does not include clothing etc & the rental prices quickly add up, so anything that you do bring, will lower the price.
Went last night with a group - awesome set up but majority of the staff were incredibly rude and acted as if we were bothering them when we came to get gear or ask questions. I've never experienced customer service so bad.
First time we have been. Very friendly helpful staff who were very accomodating to us both wanting to share the snow experience with 5 year old while the other was with baby in the cafe. Nice and clean facilities as well.
Although it was fun and has hills for beginners and more advanced skiiers/snow boards the staff wasn't nice and wasnt patient at all. My family and I didn't get any right size gear and got no poles for skiing and the place wasn't oganized.
Lovely staff and great experience. Restaurant is also good quality. Healthy platter option for kids also!
Friendly staff but had to get a refund. Pretty unhappy. They had no gear to use for snowboarding as they had run out. What a waste of time. Ended up having to get a refund. After driving one hour to get there, im not happy.
My outdoor education class had a great time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for kids and beginning skiers or boarders.
Very entertaining for the kids. Staff are lovely. Just a tad pricey.
Our staff event at Snowplanet was great fun, thanks guys. The boys enjoyed the activities, the girls enjoyed watching & laughing at the boys. Your staff were friendly and helpful.
It was so much fun I learnt how to snowboard at roi
Awesome memories of snowboarding for the first time! We went during school holidays which didn't help. Too many kids around. Loved it other than that.
Great place to get your skiing upto speed before teh season. Try teh Master's Race training. Teach your kids to ski here.
Powdery snow, good for those wanting to learn, not too busy
I'm here all the time for great staff, great fun, and great time! Maybe a little expensive but definitely worth it if you love the snow!
Good to learn but if you're an avid skier then there isnt much point.
It is too expensive during the day and it is recommended to play at night.
Snowplanet was great. Nice area to sit and watch. We went during the school holidays to watch my husband's nice and nephew. I thought that maybe there could have been at least 2 staff members up the top of the mountain to help those who are less confident (but willing to give it a go) get down the hill.
Our experience with your company, with your staff, Everything from booking ( Debbie) and checking in ( Nicole) was grea. Very efficient staff, Already looking at the next trip. The deals that we got through group bookings made it all affordable and well worth the money. Cheers Reg Rouse
Very expensive. Service ok. Flatwhites from restaurant waste off money.
Service could be better.
Lots of young staff members who don't care about service. Queued in line for some boots for my daughter. She received some and while we were at the counter the guy walked off the job. The fit wasn't right so we waited for someone to come to serve us and they took the person behind us and not us in the front!
No measurement of skis against her to see if they were the right length. No asking us of our weight to change the DIN. So in the event of a crash would the skis then stay on?? Not a great experience for newbies. Fortunately I've skied for years so knew what to look for for my children but the team at Snow Planet don't care. Management need to give them all a rev up and put some customer service plans in place to retain customers.
Never snow boarded in our lives and had a great day!. Our trainer Steven was awesome and really made it worth while.
Authentic ski Field indoor. Great price
Plus visit Santa each Christmas
Cold, very expensive. Nice time. Cafe very warm and cozy
We had our mid winter Xmas function at Snowplanet and it was amazing! From start to finish, the team could not do enough for us. The food was really yummy and very reasonable. The atmosphere is lovely and the snow play/activities was awesome too. I would highly recommend Snowplanet for corporate functions or just for families wanting some fun and good food.
Excellent programme for Year 6s. Great instructors - patient, knowledgable. Gear available for hire - helmet, gloves, skis, snowboards. You can use your own gear too. The food is also highly recommended - the school lunch is great value of school trips.
Went up for the winter wonder land and Santa visit. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We have been going for the last few years and Snowplanet have excelled this year. Had a meal in the restaurant after and again much better service and quality than previously experienced.
Friendly people. well kept and the cleanliness of everything is amazing
Came here with our early learning centre. Friendly, helpful staff. Tobbogans and boots provided for all kids and adults and plenty of time to enjoy the slopes. Would highly recommend for all age groups. We visited on a weekday so quiet. Thanks snow planet for a great outing! We'll be back
Even at busy times its not too bad, the pace of the lift tends moderate the numbers on the slope at any one time. Great fun.
If you live in Auckland, closest place to learn snowboarding or skiing. Won't be very exciting for a pro
Great place for your first time snow experience and to keep you in shape. Amazing for kids.
I love skiing and if you do too you should check it out
The place to be on a very hot summer day! Children had amazing time. But just a tad pricey
