Without a doubt Sydney s Best Costume Hire Shop. The website is fantastic, user friendly and has all the information and photos that you require so you can browse before you head to the business in Surry Hills.
When you arrive at shop you are greeted by the lovely owner Melanie who goes out of her way to ensure that you leave one happy and very satisfied customer!!
The shop itself is packed with amazing costumes and accessories. What was even more surprising was the very affordable and reasonable cost to hire the outfits which I might add are in excellent condition!!
Snog the Frog is the only place to go for all your party and costume hire!
Support a local business who deserves the support and I highly recommend to one and all!!

Wide range of costumes, great service and they know their stuff. Convenient location and hours and in this day and age, renting, not buying is the only way for fancy dress. Would recommend.

I needed a last-minute piece to complement my Mardi Gras costume and Snog The Frog did not disappoint! The costumes are affordable, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Mel & Laura are the best. They have sorted me out three times now with Nek Lebel costumes. The most recent being a Tiger King get up that brought the house down. My mullet flicks and leopard skin pants had me and the room gyrating like crazy. I give Snog The Frog 5 Toit Tigers out of 5.

Mel @ Snog the Frog was brilliant! Sorting me out perfectly at very short notice for a "come as your most despised politician" Federal Election Party... living out of town Mel was flexible with the return and rental period. Awesome customer service, really reasonable prices and great to deal with

Have been here a number of times. Best costume shop I have ever encountered. Have a heaps good range of actual complete costumes but also tons of bits and bobs to satisfy anyone s imagination. Staff are beyond helpful, no matter how annoying a personality you have or how many things you wanna try. Reasonably priced, especially considering how awesome a lot of the costumes are. Every time I have come here, I have been the centre of attention at the party I was going to (especially with Chewbakka and Elvis costumes). You can also park nearby, easily, but just be ready for the narrow lanes of Surry Hills. These guys are more like a seven out of five, but Google Reviews doesn t let you do that. You won t need to go and check any other costume shops, just go here. Please also check my review history, I don t own or have anything to do with Snog other than as a loyal fan.

Great service from/the team at Snog the Frog. I hired Gandalf for a visit to Hobbiton in NZ and had a great time, with many compliments on my outfit.

my wife and I wanted something unique and with that WOW factor.After spending time with Mel she put together the most amazing Elton John ...over the top out fit and for my wife they found a feather dress with a few tips to make it glamorous.
all night random people came up to us to say how terrific we looked.The service was five star and the pricing very reasonable.In the age of packet costumes it is reassuring that there are still people who are passionate in what they do and share that in a positive and fun way.Thank you again

Good selection of off-the-peg stuff to buy but a really amazing selection of stuff to wear and, more importantly, two creative minds to find gorgeous, weird and innovative costumes and make up to bring it all together.

I flew back from New York to surprise my little sister on her 18th birthday. Mel & Amy opened the store on a Sunday afternoon so I could rent Chewbacca and put a whole bunch of smiles on peoples faces - rockstars!

Excellent experience hiring from these guys. I hired the Bjork Swan Dress for an event being held in Darwin during Covid (NT were not subject to restrictions) so they kindly took into account the likely postage delays to ensure my costume would arrive in time for my event. The costume was in exactly the condition they had advised it would be (there was some minor damage to one part which had been photographed prior). The wig and costume were both brilliant and the whole hiring process was well conducted and recorded. I would absolutely hire from them again.

I used the online store for Snog The Frog. Their prices are very competitive and they have a very extensive range to choose from. The site was really simple and easy to use and when I called the store to ask some questions the staff were very helpful. And my costumes arrived on time! What more can you ask for? Although I'm not looking for a prince I'll still be snoggin' the frog in future.

Best best best dress up shop I ve ever been too. The staff put in so much effort and time to help me find an out fit that suited my body and what I was looking for. The shop had an incredible fun party vibe - I even asked if they do private parties there because the experience was so enjoyable.

The wonderful Melanie allowed us to do a photoshoot in the space last week - she opened early just for us and was the picture of kindness and help, for absolutely no benefit to herself. I've only had great experiences with this place and it was above and beyond of Melanie to help us out. Thoroughly recommend, because the world needs more good people.

This is the second time we've hired costumes from Snog the Frog and both times have come away with excellent costumes. The staff are helpful suggesting accessories (which come free of charge), in keeping with the chosen theme to make your outfit just that more special.

I really enjoyed the customer service at Snog the Frog. I had called them the day before I collected my costume, and the next day when I went there the ones I wanted to try on were already been put aside for me! This is outstanding!

I somehow picked the wrong one and called the store to see what my options were. The staff said they would wait for me if i was going to be a little bit late. It was a Saturday which is the kind of day where everyone just want to chill and go home on time so after hearing what I was told, I couldn t believe it.

I really appreciated all the help I was offered. I d definitely recommend this store to my friends

Eclectic and brilliant place for hiring fancy dress costumes. Staff are so knowledgeable and friendly, we enjoyed the experience of going in and trying on all the costumes almost as much as the party!

Mel and Aimee are absolute gems when it comes to finding accessories and the right costume for any type of occasion. The Snog the Frog store has a plethora of different accessories, wigs, costumes, props and masks for any type of costume and Aimee and Mel are incredibly helpful with picking the right items to make you the star of your occasion as well. I would highly recommend them for costume hire as they are incredibly lovely and will give you the best shopping experience. :)

The selection and staff (of Snog the Frog) were outstanding. I was impressed with Mel, Laura and Aimee. They were enthusiastic and helped me select the perfect Toad costume for our Literature Festival. The location for me, was perfect as I live in Surry Hills and was able to walk on over. If you go, look out for Walter - cutest dog ever!

Best place in Sydney to get a costume. Hundreds of options and choices and Mel was such a great help in getting my costume together (Vince Noir/Noel Fielding). Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

These guys are great! So friendly and always have everything I need to hire for random tv shoots and some of the costumes are random yet they seem to have everything!

Loved this place! I'm not the most comfortable in costume shops (probably relates to some repressed childhood memory... but who knows! Certainly not me), but the team here make you feel totally comfortable, relaxed, and will help you to find a costume that both looks good on you and that you feel comfortable in. The price seems high (though I don't hire costumes often, so who knows), but the quality of the costumes is great so I would go back again and again. A really chilled vibe and some cool personalities behind the desk, if you're in the need for a costume I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I had a great night thanks to Snog the Frog. Gents, if you want all eyes on you, may I suggest the blue Sgt. Peppers suit. Snog will set you up with a hat or a wig too, and believe me, you will turn magnetic. Have fun!
