We were supplied by a smeg dishwasher by clarendon home and failed to work at 1 year and 6 months old. The Issue was it does not turn on.
When I talked to the service, customer service officer was Kelly and she mentioned we need to find a control board.
Mentioning control board straight away means, it is a known issue. Then see asked for model number.
Finding a model number is challenge, it does not mean I do not know how to look it. Looked at the side wall of the dishwasher nothing and when I looked at the back, I was shocked , it is covered by packing cardboard/fibre. virtually there were no protective cover.I did not expect this on decent dishwasher.
Worse part was service technician
He was booked in and gave 4-hour window from 10 to 2 pm. As a human you have things to do and can t sit and wait for 4 hours for someone s arrival.
Technician turned up knock the door and waited for 5 mins, then I had the phone calls from technician and customer service officer Kelly. ( technician once and customer service 3 times) Before I even pick-up the phone calls dropped off.
Then later I called them and talked to them, i was told service call was cancelled out.
I was also told that, I have to let them know during service call booking, we expect a call before the come. This should not be the case and any good customer service will have that option and will be mention in the call booking process. When I booked the service call, no mention o and I was waiting for a pre-call before the technician s arrival.
It is my fault expecting a better service from company has head office in Banks..... I would not take a smeg appliance, even if it is free.
