Love the food and noodles! Great, super tasty, Vegan options for us. I can only imagine how some of the other items are!

Seems a popular place. Shusi is not bad. I have to say it did not meet my expectation. The Tan Tan Men Ramen is OK, I think it does not worthy of adding extra noodle for $2. Chiyan-Pon stir-fry is way too oil for our taste, does not feel like authentic Japaneses flavor. We preferred Roasted Chicken Bao. However, I think they are overpriced in my opinion.
The few times I've been there, we were seated very quickly. The ramen is delicious and has a vegetarian option. The TVs playing anime are enjoyable too.
You can eat ramen that is familiar to Japanese people.
Excellent food and wait staff. Great location. Walking distance to the graffiti alley. Definitely a must visit when you are in Ann Arbor.
I only come here for drinks and the fried chicken appetizer, most of the other menu items are just so so. I was unimpressed with the flavor and texture, felt like I could have done a better job cooking these variations at home.
Interesting menu. Good veggie options. Great dessert.
Love it. Don't see many ramen shops, and this one definitely does a great job
Great food and service, esp loved the tuna deluxe roll!
Ramen was delicious. I was watching Naruto and started to crave Ramen. This was great
Super yummy! Had the Chahan and a glass of wine. Everything was clean and the staff were friendly.
Really good sushi bar here. The rolls are decent in size but amazing in taste and quality. Highly recommend for a different dining experience!
Asian cuisine, sushi, soups, sashimi etc. Place is clean, minimalist, open setup, service is really good. I will definitely will come back
I had a fantastic experience here. I enjoyed a spicy tuna roll, the classic ramen bowl and the server suggested sesame ice cream for dessert; all were spectacular. I had a cocktail made with gin and green tea which was also delicious; I've forgotten the name. The service was great, surpassed only by the excellence of the meal. Delicious!
One of my favorite specialty restaurants. If you're looking for good ramen, then look no further.
Nice ramen bar, with amazing staff and atmosphere.
Food is slightly over-priced.
Decent. Been here a few times. Any time I get pork belly be it as a bun or in the soup it has been really fatty. Every time I go I keep hoping to find something that will change my mind. The food hasn't been terrible but I feel there are better places in town.
Best food I have ever had. Was used to delivering the food for delivery service with customers very excited when I arrived so had to try it. their sushi rolls and duck fat chicken are the best ever. Literally chicken wing experts told me before I went there to try it. -Michael Kreutzjans
Clean tables, nice staff, free refills, good atmosphere and nice food, it was a good place to go but if you don't have the taste for this cuisine you might not find it good. Hope this helps
This ramen is awesome! The broth is tasty and silky. The service was fast. It is a small place so you might be waiting for a few minutes.
Food didn't have much taste and was kind of cold. Not much of a menu option for food
Staff was friendly and outgoing!
Food was fantastic!
I will be visiting again
Good sushi and ramen. Service was great and enjoyed the atmosphere.
Food was super good, service was slightly slow but that no fault of their own. The real complaint was my shrimp was over cooked and there wasn't enough bamboo shoots.
Great food, especially the pork belly bao and hamachi tacos. Tomukun across the street has better noodles at a better value.
Excellent ramen and very tasty food! The seating arrangements are not my favorite, but it's one of my favorite restaurants in town!
Busy Friday night, we were fit in quickly at bar. Tony the bar tender did an excellent job with not only the made from scratch beverages, but also with offering suggestions. Food took a little bit of time, as the kitchen was very busy. Upon arrival, the food looked and tasted very good . Had a decent selection of Japanese draft beer. Overall great meal, but Tony really made the experience exceptional.
This place is definitely subpar. Our waitress didn't even ask for our order. She just slapped down glasses of water and walked away. The ramen is super overpriced and definitely not as good as other ramen bars in Ann Arbor. Never going here again honestly
Still a tasty spot for dinner - the Tan Tan Men Ramen and Kinoko Mochi are great. But they recently clobbered everything good about their lunch menu (the half-price alcohol is gone, along with a huge portion of the old lunch menu like the bento boxes, sushi, Kinoko Mochi, the combo specials, etc). It seems weird, it was always dead during lunch anyway, and now there's no reason at all to go. Oh well!
Pretty good ramen if not for the price. Great atmosphere. Wish it could be a little cheaper but the sushi is well worth the price.
A smaller place with summer personal tables & community see seating, the attached bun appetizer was delicious, veggie was out favorite filling, the ramen awesome & the desert selection had lots of exotic options! Wonderful service to to it off :)
Speaking of a delicious ramen shop in Michigan, here is your choice.
The service is good, but it is very crowded and the price is high.
AMAZZZZING RAMEN! very creative menu. Take-out order was ready quickly on a Friday night.
Great value for Happy hour. Ramen and sushi. Saki flights. Yummy
Amazing sushi, ramen, and saki menu. Variety of dining styles including traditional sit down, bar style, and communal seating.
All food and drink was very good quality and am hoping to return soon.
Very tasty food. I had the shiitake tofu donburi. The portion was cool for the price. I had a little leftovers. Our waitress was very nice.
Everything I've eaten in the few times I've been to the Slurping Turtle has been delicious.
Very good food, nice staff, good atmosphere. I had the Tan Tan Men Ramen which was great. It didn't take long for my food to come out and the broth was very rich and it was enough food to fill me up. If you're ever looking for somewhere to go on Liberty St. I'd definitely check this place out. They also seem to have a pretty good happy hour.
Unfortunately Slurping Turtle has become completely mediocre. It used to be the only good ramen place in town. Now it's one of the worst. After my last trip, I don't think the noodles qualify as ramen. They were stark white and mushy. They didn't have any trace of any kansui which makes noodles ramen.
The service has become progressively slower and inattentive over time as well.
It's a bit overpriced but a nice atmosphere and they put on a lot of fun events. Hand made ramen noodles.
The Tokyo ramen is the worst not one of I ever ate taste even smelly The ramen soup is definately not stewed by pork bone which typical Tokyo ramen should has noddle is like the instant noddle which can be bought from supermarket.
The last thing is that the ramen is completely overpriced and nobody ask for your comments will never go
Great place had a great time with my wife. Great seating sat with some great young adults from the D. Had a great time at hash bash and meeting new friends and enjoying time with my wife and this topped off a great day.
Awesome server who explained everything! Great food.
The waitress was rude.. I said thank you when she brought over the food - no response, I said it again just in case she didn't hear me -no response and she looked very uncaring and uninterested.. bad hospitality. I also noticed the waitstaff and hostess kept watching me and the person with me. terrible experience
Great place to stop in and enjoy a bowl of ramen but don't leave without trying a creme puff.
I recommend to try fried rice, fried chicken and the puffs!! Slurping turtle s puff is tasty and similar to Asian flavor.
Hands down the best ramen I've had in Michigan. As far as quality goes, I can't think of any place better when it comes to ramen. Yes the price is a little higher than other ramen restaurants in the area, but I strongly believe that the quality for the price is MUCH better than anywhere else around here.
My experience with ramen originated in the west coast while I was living there and I fell in love with the flavorful tastes and great meal that ramen provides. Since moving back to Michigan, the options for good ramen were severely limited. Being in Ann Arbor a couple days a week I decided to try the places here. Slurping Turtle has had me craving it again as soon as I finished the last noodle in my bowl. Great food, good atmosphere, friendly staff. Can't say enough good about my experience here. Highly recommended.
This place was cool and the food tasted great, however our server named Erik was really weird. He was commenting on one of our friends hat and clothes but not like a good comment like really sarcastic. Also he asked us if we wanted more water we responded with a simple no and he seemed to have not heard so he loudly just said answers?! It was really weird and rude. Then we saw two girls (which were employees) pointing at us and it looked like they were whispering about us. It felt like we were being watched and i think that they should have some common decency to at least wait till we leave.
Mmmm the best!!! I drive all the way from Fenton to enjoy some ramen!!!
I lived On the coast for a long time and this is hands down the best sushi I ve ever had
Pretty decent Japanese food in AA. Just kinda overpriced. And the Ramen is too salty sometimes. But overall a place I d like to go when I decide to give myself a treat.
We love this place. Veggie homemade ramen. Sushi. Shared tables. Pork Bao--- mmmm! You can take ramen noodles home to cook for later.
I love this place. Higher price than Tomukun, but better ramen than Tomukun. If you want ramen come here. Tomukun does good Korean bbq and other things noodles. Slurping Turtle is the amazing for ramen, and they have great specials. The service is fine. It's not bad service. It's nothing particularly special. People are kind, helpful, and attentive as you would expect.
Get the duck fat fried chicken and the spicy salmon donburi! You won't be disappointed!
I don't know if I can say enough good things about the ramen here. Great soup, good apps, but always busy. Make sure to call ahead if possible. The food is always worth the wait. Highly recommend.
Amazing food , they have takoyaki and i am so grateful to these amazing people, 10 stars and 10 blessings
great happy hours from 4 to 6 (even on Saturdays), although not all tables can get the happy hours discount. Great dishes, love to take our young kids there
Great food! Host should tell guest about happy hour before seating!
Only ramen I ve had in Ann Arbor that was actually flavorful! It s a bit pricier than other options in town but definitely worth it
The Slurping Turtle provides a consistently enjoyable and delectable experience for ramen, udon, sushi and more. Their friendly and generous bartenders have taught me a great deal about Japanese spirits and cocktails.
A great choice for date night or an indulgent lunch.
I am a msu student and seriously, I think about move to UM after eating there.
Very good food, very good atmosphere, and very good music selection.
Really loved this place, they had good covid protocols and service was excellent to go along with great tasting food. We had Bao bun, Kinoko Mochi, Ramen and some vegetable roll and all were very delicious. Can't wait to go back to eat here.
The saving grace here is the ramen - I only got the classic Tokyo Shoyu, but why try to fix what isn't broken? The broth was extremely flavorful, and while it didn't have any spice, that was fine with me; I'd rather add spice than start off too strong. They didn't skimp on the pork belly, my egg was perfectly cooked, and there was a good noodle/broth ratio.
