It's okay. It's cheap. They have a good gym and a basketball court. That's all I really remember about this college. They need to fix that one tricep pulldown machine though.

I must admit I had an AWFUL experience on 5 days ago (at Paul Mitchell) and long story short my hair was orange. The staff was extremely apologetic and got me back in as soon as possible and the new girl that worked on my hair did such a great job getting it to what I had originally wanted. I didn't have to pay for a single thing and they have told me I can come back to get a deep condition (for free) to help with the damage. It is a school so you have to understand sometimes things will go wrong but if they do, they will definitely get it fixed.
----I do recommend only going to a phase 2 for any kind of color.----
We came here for watching college basketball game. Clean and nice facility. I like there.
This review is from a teachers point of view. We were fortunate enough to attend Skills USA competition hosted by SLCC. There was plenty of room for each event - only drawback is that during the snow and rain - walking to and from the room was far. Other than that - kids had a blast.
This review is not from a student point of view, rather as citizen in the community. My family and I have attended 2 activities this summer. One paid at affordable rate for the family, and one free. Awesome Summer activities for the family, free or at low cost. Please keep it up!! Facilities are always clean and plenty of parking, both my activities were night time.
Got my AS in elementary education and the teachers and advisors were great and with the FSA financial aid I was able to do it with little cost
The lifetime activities center says it's open to the community but simultaneously gives you the middle finger with parking enforcement. Metered parking only and it's always full. Almost wasted my money on a membership - glad I didn't.
My experience going here was ok several years ago. However, tuition has tripled since I was last here. I'm also coming the to conclusion that this institution leaves you dangerously under prepared for the demands of a 4 year program. The majority of your grade will be tied up in standardized tests, and the assignments given are less rigorous than what high school students have to do. While that's awesome for remedial students, those of us with goals to go to a 4 year university are left with a sub par education that puts us behind for higher level academics.
Save some money, complete your generals here and then transfer to a university.
Small class sizes, professors are usually very easy to contact. Don't overdo it with classes, see what works for you.
They offer a lot of certifications that you can earn in a semester to get you straight into the workforce. Awesome and worth looking into if you don't want to earn a traditional degree.
Murray High graduation ceremony was held here. The seating is not very comfortable but more importantly the temperature (HOT) of the facility is extremely bad. Everyone throughout the audience was trying to fan themself down due to the negligence of the facilitator.
Still having bugs with the new take over. They have sales on last year's items
Way cheaper that the U. Took ever class I could here before moving onto the U. I would recommend this method to anyone.
Salt Lake Community College has done a great job of providing a good general education without costing students the rest of their life's salary. Small class sizes, excellent campus atmosphere, and flexible class schedules make this college a pleasure to attend.
As a side note, there are always professors who may be more in line with one's preferences, but the majority are competent and do their jobs well. I try not to judge the tree by a couple of bad apples when the rest of the harvest is so good.
If I could give zero stars I would. The experience with them has been nothing but horrible. They're always passing the buck as to who you have to deal with and who's fault it is. We had to complete our fafsa four different times because their office staff, assigned to handle nothing but fafsa, told us three different times and ways to complete it. In the end it was out of the semester that was applicable. The fafsa office kept passing us between five different people who never answer their phone or return any calls. The fafsa office doesn't communicate with the billing office down the hall. While waiting on fafsa we would receive past due bills and even threats of collections. When we would call they would just respond to just ignore them. The billing office is horrible as well. The first month of the semester we will receive a bill with one total and then each month into the semester we would receive bills with completely different totals for the SAME credit hours. The bills would jump at an approx. rate of $200/ month. When you call them about it they always say the highest bill is accurate at its federal regulation and they refuse the adjust the total back to THEIR initial bill. In the end I could have went to any other college for the same cost and been provided a lot better quality for what was paid for.
There are some really great teachers at slcc. I love the wide range of unique classes to explore what your interests are. Met some of my closest friends there.
Such a big place, was hard to figure out where to go on the first day. The student center was great at directing me to my classes and gave me a map to show me my classes. All my professors here were great, one thing is the tools they had either worked occasionally or not at all, talking about the projectors or the speaker system. Either way it was a great experience! A+
It's your typical college bookstore. The whole are always friendly, but not always knowledgeable.
The service is fine although i wish hours of operation where extended a couple of hours. Maybe 7 or 8 pm closing time
Haven't started yet but every single time I call in or try to get anything done with them, they are incredibly unhelpful. Staff is always rude and condescending when I call in or go in. It's really disappointing and discourages me and other people I know from wanting to even consider taking classes there. Almost debating just waiting a semester to go to a school who actually cares when you're spending thousands of dollars with them.
Average at best. Staff loses online pick up orders a lot, most the time it goes to Taylorsville even if you request it sent somewhere else (at least according to the bookstore staff). Staff is not overly helpful and got pretty annoyed when I opened up a staples bag to check I got all my books. Then didn t want to give me a non-ripped bag to carry them in.
We attended a graduation here. Its beautifully landscaped and very clean. It was a pleasant place
The people are very friendly and give you the information you need.
Honestly it's a college bookstore... It's not an exciting place but the staff is friendly.
Fall of 2017 has been incredibly awful here. Very little food available in the student center. Most of the cafe is closed. Wifi is terrible as well as in the technology building, in the tech building they have no instruction on how to use the wireless printer, and the elevator has been incredibly slow.
All in all, they just don't take care of stuff with urgency. I'm definitely going to a community college
so many classes to choose from! i am planning on getting my generals here. The atmosphere is great and the professors really make in effort to teach you.
Absolutely the worst place you could ever choose to go to. The price isnt right, your bureaucracied to death, the professors are irresponsible and inexperienced and just picked up off the street with no experience and the staff are miserably god awful. If you have any other option at all period avoid this place. Most miserable experience of my life.
great selection. Got my MacBook there at the education discount because I m a student
They give tickets for being in their parking lot for less then 30 minutes. Yeah cause the last thing a struggling student needs is a ticket. Especially at Christmas time. Thanks SLCC.
Very helpful people here. And it's very clean and organized.
It's usually got what you need at increased prices. It's just convenient.
