A $40 fee just to send a check for a rollover?!? You have got to be kidding me. Nothing but pure greed with this group.

It appears I am not alone in my disgust for this company. I too have been trying to get my Roth funds after leaving a company that Slavic401k services. What a nightmare. Be prepared for an exhaustive effort to rollover your money. I completed the same process with Fidelity in 20 minutes over the phone. With Slavic....2 1/2 weeks and still working on it. If there was an option for ZERO stars, these folks would have earned it. By the way, I am still waiting for that call back I was promised.......last Friday!
This place is so shady. Be concerned if you work for a company that uses Slavic as their 401k provider. The fees are as much as any well-known broker but the investment options are severely limited. They make it very difficult to reach a person.
As an example, I'm having a recurring and intermittent login issue where it won't let me login to my account. It says to contact my Plan Administrator. My Plan Administrator has no idea how to fix the issue, so she calls Customer Service. They tell her due to privacy, they can't tell her anything and that I should call Slavic directly. Sure thing. But they don't list their phone number anywhere on the login page, in the help text that comes up when the login failure, or in the help contents. Fine, so go to the main webpage, click on Contact Us and, alas, there is a phone number. I dialed in, went through 3 menus on an IVR and then found out that they aren't yet open, but they provided me with a time they open... excluding a time zone. I googled and they're HQ'd in Boca Raton, Florida (like all major investment firms). The option to leave a review came up and... here we are.
Still can't login, though.
Worst place ever! They don't do their job in a timely manner. My husband has had to call them everyday to make sure they are doing their job and he still has yet to Receive his money. He called and was suppose to get a call back and never received that call. Thank goodness when we don't have to deal with this company anymore.
They told me 10 days to receive my check 10 business days we are 15 days later and no check I tried to call they keep giving me the running around through an answering machine it's not fair it's only $400 the company already closed I'm still waiting
Worst 401K company I ve ever worked with. I ve had New York Life AMAZING & I m working with Wells Fargo New York life has been 100% best company. I still have both.
Story time: I only had an account with this company because this is who my employer switched to. I had them for 3 years. I now have switched jobs and to transfer the funds to the other account would be a 10 step hassle. As the reviews below with agree. I decided to just close and cash it out. This company charges 20% taxes (should be 10% if less than 10,000) , 10% penalty for cashing it out early, then another 10% when they serve you a 1099 at the end of the year, (30% in taxes) plus their fees $100, and they DO NOT give you the extra money if the stock you re invested in made money. I never seen any extra funds added or removed. I cashed out the money 8/12 it s now 8/27 and still have not received my money. Reached out to customer service to see if I could help or did I miss something. They are extremely rude and vague with their answers. Had to ask Miguel 3 questions to get one clear answer.
This is a joke. The amount of taxes and fees you have to pay. You ll be better off saving your money in a shoebox under your bed, safe, savings account,or a Roth. If you do a Roth do NOT choose this company. It ll take you a month and 50% of your savings before you ll see it.
It's very hard to believe Slavic401k is a legitimate business. My employer three years ago changed retirement plan providers from Slavic401k to Voya and then Fidelity. In the past, I made several attempts to rollover my funds but only received the run around from Slavic. It was so frustrating that I simply gave up. Fast forward to today and I no longer work for that employer who sponsored the Slavic plan. I requested a distribution on August 31, 2021.The distribution tracker tool is completely inaccurate and useless. I have now spoken with two customer service reps and I am no closer to receiving my funds than the day I requested the distribution. I would never recommend Slavic401k to anyone.
I requested paperwork to be sent by the United States Post office 3 weeks ago and I still haven't gotten it and then they're telling me something that should take two or three weeks is going to take 6 or 8 weeks because they like to drag their feet ,
they have answered for everything but they talk like they're a crooked politician they speak a lot but don't give you any answers
And to me that's a big problem,
Worst company ever! If I could give ZERO stars I would! Have been trying for 5 months now to move my funds from a program I m no longer able to participate in and they just keep canceling my requests or giving me the run around! You get zero communication when promised a call back! Good luck getting any money back from them when it s that time! I don t understand how they are legally still operating! Worst financial business I have EVER had the unpleasant opportunity to work with!!
I had choose to opt out since i have 401k else where. They were on site and i filled out all the necessary paper work. They have been taking contributions from my check, refuse to roll it over and will only do so if and when i leave the company. Keep in mind i had opt out and this was a mistake on their part. I already max out my 401k thru another institution.
