We are owed money for our deposit and neither the leasing agent or manager is returning calls or emails. Rented at The Sounds in East Lyme and the quality of the apartments and attention to detail has declined, while they raise the rates. Glad to have moved out and will not recommend.

I am a fire victim moving into the Hawthorne at Gillette Ridge in Bloomfield ct feb 16 2019..March 4th 2019 i received a light bill for $296.96 which is outrageously high..Expressed my concerns to the leasing office staff Shanelle and Ashley.The staff member Shanelle stated I will be contacted.April 5th 2019 I went back to the leasing office talked with Carmen expressed my concerns about the $296.96 light bill and left my name and number for Shanelle or Ashley to get in touch with me. April 9th 2019 Konover did an inspection and again i expressed my concerns about the $296.96 light bill to the owners..As of today no one has contacted me.Your company offers. $2045 rent + $296.96 light bill with rent specials until april 15 2019 to lure potential residents.This is unacceptable behavior. Residence are blind sided until they have signed a lease and moved in..I would never live here permanently your a rip off with high rent prices its not worth it nor is the agrivation for a two bedroom apartment..A light bill in a house is cheaper than the light bill at the Hawthorne.Carmen in the leasing office does not listen.I called her told her who i was and stated that konover couldnt enter the apartment without me present. On the day of the inspection Konover were letting them selves in? I discussed with them about not being aloud to use the key without me present..The individuals stated the leasing office didnt notify them.Vey unacceptable.
This company raises the rent on there properties each and every month, regardless of how they have sewer issues all year round. Can't count the number of times I have woke up in the early morning to toilet water all over the bathroom floor which also floods the carpet in the halls and bedroom closets.
THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE! OVER PRICED APARTMENTS AT BEYOND MARKET RATE PRICES! DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY EVERY MONTH ON AN OVERPRICED AND LAZY BUILT APARTMENTS!
The property manager at the New London office had promised us a dumpster closer to our building, LIKE WE HAD BEFORE SHE CAME ALONG. Now it's gone. Hasn't gotten a replacement Yet. It's been two years. And has been forgotten about. This is not the type of manager you want. Making disabled, elderly people walk down a dark parking lot to throw out trash. This is a reflection on her, on the lack of respect, or concern for the tenants. DISGUSTING, SAD, BEHAVIOR THIS COMPANY CONDONES THIS TYPE OF MANAGER To CONTINUE TO RUN THIS COMPLEX. AND LET GO ONE OF THE HARDEST WORKING MAINTENANCE GUYS SHE EVER HAD!!
Terrible place to live. Your neighbors sound like they are in your apartment. The management is awful and they raised my rent over 50% in a pandemic. Slumlords
Horrible property management. Does not care about tenants AT ALL. our safety is not of concern to them and the people who live on the property are not priorities. Very sad and bad way of doing business.
