Incredible musicals and all around phenomenal productions, talented performers, sets, props, costumes, musicians, all exceptional. Any show by Skylight will be entertaining and astounding, promise.
Small intimate venue with good sightlines. They employ top notch professional actors and singers -- pretty much of the quality a national touring company would have. Having seen a couple of dozen shows, I could quarrel with a choice or two here and there (poor casting of Maria in Sound of Music, cast and stage too small for Carmen, lack of top notch vocal talent in Hair), but they get it right the vast majority of the time, and you virtually always come away happy with what you have seen.
An outstanding lovely place to see top notch musical theatre and opera or a fun cabaret and drinks.

A local gem! The theater is beautiful, quaint and in the hopping Third Ward neighborhood with lots of restaurant options nearby. Shows are great, pulling both local and national talent. Beware that they occasionally do one super artsy show, which I never enjoy as much as a more traditional show. I just bought my season tickets for next year and am looking forward to another great season.
Their head of wardrobe is probably the best in the business. Really top-notch work.
Loved the show Newsies. Everyone is so nice that works there. Smaller theatre but that also makes the price reasonable to see a Broadway caliber show right here in Milwaukee. Musicals galore. Celebrating 60 years.

We love Skylight and are annual members! From the early 2000s until now, we have always enjoyed the shows. Major productions (and smaller) where you can still (afford to) sit front row. Highly recommend!
I have been a patron since 1993 and have always enjoyed the shows, especially since they moved to the Broadway Theater. We were just here to watch Hairspray and it is fantastic! Well worth the time and effort to call the box office and see if any tickets available if new in town. Good way to have some light hearted fun or other specials. Very professional acting company and directors
Attended a presentation of Newsies here. An attractive intimate venue. Performance was exceptional. Outstanding local talent.
Next level theatre in all of it's crafts, from the Opera and Musicals in itself, to the mastery that goes into, props, costumes and of course the sets with their incredible scenic artistry, all complimented by exceptional live orchestral music in every show.
Hairspray was wonderful. A great show for high school kids ( and they may learn some history too).
"Newsies" is fun! fun! fun! Great music! Great singing! Great directing!

We saw Hairspray, and really enjoyed it, and so did the audance. The facility at The Skylight is really an intimate and great facility.
It's a lovely venue and the productions are great. Just saw Hairspray which was a high energy production and really entertaining. Looking forward to our next treat at Skylight.

Great small theater experience. Saw Sweeney Todd here and the performance was great.
Drinks up stairs during intermission seemed a bit pricey and the service was challenged, but the main reason you come here is for the show so no big deal.

Seating is old and tight, but the caliber of entertaining theatre is superb. Attend Newsies this holiday season for an artful treatment of the newsboy strike at the turn of last century.

The Cabot theatre is the most intimate, beautiful theater in Milwaukee, and Skylight puts on amazing musicals!
Very impressive. Seems worth the money. Went on a business trip here. Paid for by my business. (Yay). And I can honestly say it is a beautiful building. Helpful staff. The production is very good. I didn't expect somewhere in Milwaukee to have a good theatrical prescense. I am seeing Annie and it is delightful! Sound is good and lighting/stages are convincing. Overall so pleased!! Will be coming back many times.

Absolutely love the place!!! The theater is small, but it makes it so cozy. Always a good choice of plays, at least so far the ones I attended. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this place!

Enjoyed another great production at the Skylight Music Theatre. This time it was Newsies! From the friendly and helpful lobby staff to the top notch performers, this was a great show. If you can't make it to this particular show, be sure to check out the Skylight when you get a chance. The Theatre is beautiful and we have never been disappointed with a performance at this venue.

Good theatre and nice staff. Saw the musical Annie and it was amazing. Of course my passion is the perforning arts and singing. Love most theatres and shows I have attended. Also love teaching and directing shows and adore musical theatre.

Enjoyed watching Oklahoma. What I like best about the Skylight is the intimate feel of the place. Didn't realize they had a restaurant and bar upstairs for pre show meal. It was packed and those dining seemed to enjoy it.
