I called Stan & SKV Construction to address a foundation crack issue. Sent him a photo of it, he told me what needed to be done and offered to do the work for a reasonable price. Stan came when he said he would and fixed the issue. I would highly recommend using Stan and SKV for any concrete repair work.
Stan came out to look at a concrete problem I had with my outdoor steps. He was late and from the beginning to the end he was one of the rudest people I have dealt with. He acted like he wanted to be begged to even come out to look at the job. He was rude on the phone and even more rude in person. I can't believe SKV is even still in business. Run from them so you don't waste your time and bring a nasty experience into your day.
I have utilized SKV Construction many times over the years. They've helped me at many residential locations as well as on several larger commercial projects. I will continue to work with SKV because they come through where it vitally important. They have the knowledge to properly assess a problem, they know the best solution and how to apply it. Having been in business and successful for over 50 years, SKV has the integrity to provide honest, accurate information - not just a sales pitch.
Living in a neighboring city to SKV Construction, I have known of Stan Vorgias since 2011. Stan has an excellent grasp of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and construction. I believe he is at his best when he uses his creative skills to fix difficult foundation problems like tilted walls, bowed walls in basements, and foundation replacements. Stan may seem like he is difficult to work with, but he values his customers and tries to provide high quality work for his clients.
The guy Stan Vorgias doesn't know how to treat prospective customers with respect. I called him to see if he received my email that he said he wanted soon and he yelled at me and hung up the phone!
I know many construction guys not super customer friendly, but he is down right rude.
I wouldn't spend my money with someone who would yell at me for servicing me. There are better options folks...you can do better
Stan is the man for any of your construction needs! He is super easy to work with, very reliable, affordable and honest! I will continue to use him for any of my future construction needs!
Personal and old school. Stan did a great job for my company which is the largest owner of movie theaters in the US. You are sure to get what you pay for. Will certainly use for future projects.
Stan came out and gave me a good accessment of my foundation issue laying out what was feasible and what the repair would entail. We agreed on a strategy and price. Work was done quickly and efficiently. Very satisfied with the results. He's obviously done work in the area for quite some time and had a few interesting stories to tell as well.

Last summer I had Stan/SKV bid on a project for my garage floor. I was referred to Stan by another contractor that did some raising of my driveway that abutted the damaged area of my garage floor. They could not do the work but recommended I contact Stan. He came fairly promptly and bid the work which I accepted. Other than a slight schedule misunderstanding Stan completed the work in 2 days and it worked out great, and is holding up well during our recent cold snap. The work consisted of removing about 1' of the top layer of eroded concrete next to my (now raised) driveway. He then patched it using a special mix of material, which did not match original color of the floor, but which he plainly made clear. It was irrelevant to me to have the match; I needed to replace the eroded material before any more of the floor was affected. Based on his work for me I would strongly suggest asking Stan/SKV to bid on any special concrete repair work. UPDATE June 2019: after the severe winter I experienced some flaking on a small 1' x 1' area that Stan patched. I called to inform him of the issue, and when the spring rains finally stopped Stan came back and removed the damaged area and repaired it very nicely. I appreciated him standing by his materials and workmanship. I'd strongly recommend him/SKV for any of your concrete repairs.
